How to upgrade to aperture 3.5 when the app store does not show the update. I did buy aperture 3 on DVD not thru the app store. what to do?
I can not open aperture databases anymore as osx10.9 keeps telling me i have opened it with a newer version, which i have not but i understand from other discussions that thru the upgrade of iphoto osx automatically thinks that you have opened with aperture 3.5. the app store does not show me the update as i have not purchased the program thru the app store but on dvd. what to do?
If you are running MacOS X 10.9 and Aperture is installed in your Applications folder and simply called Aperture, not Apertre 3 or something, the AppStore should be showing you the update.
Have you already updated to Aperture 3.4.5 from the Support page Aperture 3.4.5?
Try to update manually to 3.4.5 and then reboot and sign again into the AppStore with your AppleID and look at the Update page.
For some forum members it helped to set the main system language to English U.S. to make the update finally show.

What you've outlined in this part of the post is all that icloud stores for you outside of the backup. If you want to restore from the icloud backup you will then have for all practical purposes a carbon restoration back to your device if you restore from the icloud backup.

All I can suggest is that you open that file on the MBA and save it as a new file, then see if you can open the new one on the iMac.

I bought an album in the I Store and it shows there as a Purchased item. However, I cannot find the album in my iTunes and do not know how to redownload it. What should I do?
If you are in a country where music can be redownloaded then it should show in the Purchased link under Quick Links on the right-hand side of the iTunes store homepage - that it where you can redownload items (as long as they remain in the store).

Sometimes when I copy a CD into iTunes all of the songs do not show y up in one album, but mutiple albums, all with the same name. Is there an easy way to get all of the songs into one album.
Generally adding a common album artist will fix things.

I can not perform software updates or download any programs. They appear in the download box as images that are "not recognized". I thought maybe my antivirus software was setting up a firewall, but I have disabled it, so that's not the case. Any suggestions as to how I can fix this?
If the downloads are gone, it's possible that Windows is removing the downloads based on security policies set in IE. I realize that sounds strange, but it's related to Firefox's feature of submitting downloads to your virus scanner and marking them as having come from the internet.
To test this theory, you could try disabling the scan feature. I assume you have good "real time" antivirus protection which checks every file saved to your hard drive. (If not, you really should get that, and you can use Microsoft's free [http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows/products/security-essentials Microsoft Security Essentials] for now until you have time to review all the available choices.)

Hi all. I am new to iPad and am trying to buy / download certain apps thru iTunes and or App Store. I have found the apps i want yet I keep getting messages saying "this app is not yet available in the South African store"! which means i am unable to buy it. Why not and how can i get around this? If you see a dialog telling you the app is not avaiable, then it's not available.
And keep in mind, your credit or debit card credentials must be associated with the same country where you reside.

I was surfing online when suddenly my mac just freeze. So i had forced shut down it and turned it on again but then the folder with questionmark icon shows up. And i pressed (option key) to go to the utility but i cant find my startup disk anywhere!
Well, if the internal hard drive is no longer readable, there's pretty much nothing anyone here can do about it. There are no magic words that will fix a hardware problem.

Since upgrading to the newest ios 6.1.2 itunes isn't showing my app list on the left side of the screen, nor does it show all of my self made movies, only the purchased ones. If you are talking about iTunes on your computer use the iTunes View menu item, "Show Sidebar".

You can't. iOS 5 requires an iPhone 3GS or better, or a third generation or newer iPod touch.

Apple Software Update is part of the package of drivers and services that were part of BC 2.0 that came from your OEM DVD with Leopard.
If you run Apple Software Update in Windows, it should show an update for ASU to a new version, then after restart and rerunning ASU, the latest version.
Some new Macs have later versions of Boot Camp on their OEM drive.
Also, and this was strange, even if you install the Safari 4.0 beta and choose NOT to INSTALL ASU, it will still get installed!
So there are a number of methods to get updates thru Apple Software Update.
Finally, there is a direct download for Boot Camp 2.1 for XP, but.... it is a year old, came out before SP3 was really out, and says "required before updating" rather than just "recommended" and I've seen no real problem, or that it was required, or fixed anything, with upgrades to SP3. SP3 has trouble of its own - on PCs as well as Macs.

This means the apps that need an update were downloaded with the Apple ID you are being prompted for. -
