How to upgrade Vista Capable laptop on the moduslink site?

I bought Toshiba laptop with Comet, but cannot find the way to upgrade my Windows, though it is signed as Windows Vista Capable. The laptop was bought in the right time, eligible for update, but the shop did not give me any redemption form nor it is listed on the https://upgradeweb.moduslink.com/vista . Moduslink sends me back to OEM. How can I upgrade then? Is there another way of doing it?

You are on the right moduslink page but you must be careful to answer every question, on the first page you need to put in the language, then the country and then it asks you if you have a form (the answer is NO) then click on the Vista window then the next button.
It has taken me almost 2 days to do this and then only because I phoned Toshiba and insisted that I get some help as I was the one paying for the phone call, don't bother ringing the Netherlands number this is only a pre-recorded loop and is no help whatsoever. It will ask you how you intend paying for this - answer by cheque otherwise you have to put in your card details (then no control on them taking the money).

Vague question, but to create a laptop with the solution installed - you need to order the solution and and then install it on the laptop. Or download trial versions from SCN and install those as well.

If you have an iPad 1, the max iOS is 5.1.1. For newer iPads, the current iOS is 6.1. The Settings>General>Software Update only appears if you have iOS 5.0 or higher currently installed.

If you are currently running an iOS lower than 5.0, connect the iPad to the computer, open iTunes. Then select the iPad under the Devices heading on the left, click on the Summary tab and then click on Check for Update.

does anybody know, how to upgrade a 6i Repository to it's latest release?
We have version 4.0.52.1 (release 4) installed and we want to install relase 4.4.
Following the installation/upgrade guide, I still got the problem, that the upgrade button
is greyed out! In Metalink, I found some hints pointing to the fact, that in this case the
repository does not need an update but looking at the bug fix list, of course my descision should be
to upgrade/update the repository!

Upgrade Sequence for each Role:

You should upgrade your Exchange 2013 server roles in the following order:
Client Access
Mailbox
Edge
For DAG members
Upgrade only passive servers in the first phase.
Before you apply the service pack to a DAG member, move all active mailbox database copies off the server to be upgraded and configure the server to be blocked from activation.
Place server in DAG maintenance mode before applying the service pack to any DAG member,
Stop any scheduled tasks or other processes running on the DAG member or within that DAG that could adversely affect the DAG member being upgraded or the upgrade process

How can I distinguish multiple tabs of the same site in the tab bar?

I've been following some massive open online courses (MOOCs) and its been necessary to have several tabs open at the same time for the same site. I would like to be able to distinguish these tabs by being able to put a tag instead of the site url ('instructions', 'template', 'code', 'scratch', 'docs' etc. etc) and/or a colour code.
Does anyone know if and how this can be done?

This one colors tabs, but the author warns that it doesn't work with other tab-related extensions, so you probably need to keep searching for one that does everything you want:

If you don't find a do-it-all extension, you can modify the tab titles with a userscript that is specific to that website. This is because the tab displays the text designated in the page as its title.
You either could "hard code" the list of words for each of the pages, or you could have a script extract information from the page, for example, the first main heading, or some other predictable bit of data. The script then would insert your preferred wording as the title of the page and Firefox will show that on the tab.
To see how that appears, so you know whether it would be useful, you could do this experiment:
On a web page that has useless tab text, open the Web Console using command+alt+k (Windows: Ctrl+Shift+k). In the line at the bottom next to the caret, paste the following code and press Enter:

How to upgrade to something other than the most recent OS

I am currently running Os 10.6.8. I would like to update, but I have a critical application that is only qualified for 10.8.2 and the current operating system is 10.8.4. Is there a way to buy something other than the current OS?

Apple updates the OS X installer at the Mac App Store with the latest version, and older OS X versions disappear. If you want to upgrade to Mountain Lion and you purchase Mountain Lion at the App Store, you will get the OS X Mountain Lion installer with 10.8.4 installed, so it will install 10.8.4, without any possibility to install 10.8.2.
You can try changing system files to look like you are using 10.8.1 and try applying the 10.8.2 update, but doing this you may damage OS X Mountain Lion

How is running Vista(after effects) on the new G5?

I'm about to purchase the dual quad core 2.8ghz and I'm interested in adding Vista on it. Anyone who has this combination I like to hear their experiences. Does it run fast in general? Any potential problems?
I also may be using some graphic application softwares including after effects or 3D related stuff.
Any thoughts?

If you want to run Windows Vista inside/alongside OS X together, then a VM is fine but can limit performance and use of 8-cores and memory.
BootCamp Assistant helps install XP or Vista on the same drive as OS X to run natively.
Putting Vista on Mac Pro can be done just formatting another internal drive. Once it is running, there are Apple drivers on your Leopard DVD to add hardware layer support.
I prefer Fusion for virtualization then just went running Vista natively. Tricking XP to install and run on Macs does need help from Boot Camp. I started using Vista before BC existed, just install and go.

My fairly iMac G5 with Leopard 10.5.8 couldn't support i'Life 11 which needs a Intel chip.

Unfortunately, I can't see that Apple make earlier versions of iLife available from the Support > Downloads section of their website. You will have to see if there are earlier versions of iLife available on eBay or Amazon. FWIW, iLife 2006 works fine on my G5, and possibly later versions too.

I don't like FF v.9, and I suspect that my PC doesn't have whatever CPU or whatever that's needed to run it properly. Scrolling is horrible, it hardly works at all. It seems as though every function has slowed down.

Not knowing how to get rid of this site I deleted the entire section. Looking at your browser doesn't do anything to address this problem and I WILL NOT use a web browser that does not have some type of security for sites that I DON'T WANT MY 8 YR OLD GDAUGHTER LOOKING AT! i have a website that i wish to have multiple pages available all form the same menu and late and probably at regular intervals add more tabs to the menu
is there a way to create a spry menu speratley that the page some how references, something like a frameset but without using framesets?
im sort of new to webdesigning and unsure of the correct terminology, so i am finding it difficult to look up stuff that i don't know the name for, but will gladly go read someting if you point me in the right direction.

You can do this with PHP or ColdFusion
These are "server side" scripting languages so you will have to test your website after you upload to you web hosting account.
Or if you set up a local server. Without the local server you will get errors when you open them in firefox.
To use the following what you do is "Cut" the part you want to be on all pages out, "Paste" it into a seperate document and in its place on your page you put one of the following suitable tags.
You will also have to rename your main file to .php or .cfm as opposed to .html
Again, whatever page you put one of these tags on, their extention must change match the type of tag used.
First Method (PHP):
PHP is the more common method -

Require_once is basically a safeguard so that you don't add the menu twice onto a page.
This will only work for PHP 4+
This method would work for older versions of php too -
