HOW TO UPLOAD BACKGROUND IMAGES IN SMARTFORMS

Hi,
goto se78 -> in the menubar click graphic and import to select ur images from ur system .. then click transport button .. it automatically gets into the smartform graphic image list.. then get into transaction smartform and use the image u imported into that..
U can import anykind of image which u have stored in ur pc through se78..

but the images are not displayed,since the path is not valid for the images.

Suresh, your html specifies an image at resources/images/privacy.gif - is that
image in your repository at the correct relative position to where yout html is?
Your html and repository structure must match. So if the html you posted is at
/BEA Repository/foo.html
then privacy.gif must be at /BEA Repository/resources/images/privacy.gif

to set it. However it has problem in Flex 4 because of 'halo' and 'spark' theme library changed.

Current website needs overall change in background image which is already set in template. Is there anyone who knows how to change background image in existing templates?

Make a friend with firebug & you could find yourself from where it is getting applied.
For the website you have given the background image it is using is [1] and it is getting set in css of body tag [2]. So Find the css at [3] and modify it OR replace [1] with other image with same file name.

Framework doesn't provide the option of storing the images as files. You can write a javascript to open a popup and provide a standard HTML file upload component which will save the file on specified location.

Hi
Convert the jpeg into bmp or bitmap...as from se78 jpeg cannot be uploaded. To convert, all you have to do is open the jpeg picture using paint brush and then save it as bmp. When you click save as in paint brush, it will open a window..in that in "Files of Type" select bitmap image and upload it.
In smartform, create a graphic window and give this image name.

To make what Tyler said explicit: APEX doesn't perform recursive (or indeed any) substitution on static files, Re: Use uploaded images in uploaded CSS, so images in static files can't be referenced using #APPLICATION_IMAGES# or #WORKSPACE_IMAGES# in style sheets that are themselves static files. We are maintaining images in QM02 similar to the header or item texts. Those images has to be displayed in smartform.
Can anyone know how to read any image from transaction and display the same in smartform. Those images will be different for different notification numbers?
Please let me know if instead of SE78 we can read the image and display the same in smartform?
Or is there anyway we can achieve the same?

I Have the same problem with you. I Did a program to put all imagens in SE78. After this, you can use a variable to fill out the name.
Example:

Inserting Logo in SmartForm
Follow the given steps in order to add a logo,
1) In Smart Forms Editor, In left pane, right Click any Page (say Page1) and select Create -> Window, Give it a name and Description (Say Window1)
2) Right Click on Window (Window 1) and select Create -> Graphics, Give it a name and description
3) In general Attributes, Select Name, get search help (F4) , you will find a list of pictures
4) Select any picture and set its Resolution in DPI
5) Press F9 to open Smart Forms Builder, Select window (Window1) and In Output options window set, size and position of the Logo
6) Set any other parameters if required, save and activate.
7) If there is only 1 Window in the forms, set it as Main Window in general attributes.
8) User TCode SE78 to upload new pictures and logos.
