How to upload my fillable PDF to my website?

I created an interactive PDF application form for my company and we want to be able to upload it to our website and make it so that people can fill it out online and submit it. I do all of the back end work on our website through Wordpress and was wondering if there was a plugin that allows you to do this, or if it's a bit more difficult than that? I have looked into sites such as hostmypdf.com but am unhappy with the fact that it doesn't keep any of the fillable formatting that I've created, it only makes it so that people can click anywhere on the form and fill it out (not nearly as "pretty") which also loses the functionality of dropdown boxes (which doesn't work for us, we want our form to stay as small as possible, page-wise). Any advice on this matter would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

You upload the file just like you do with any other media file (an image,
for example), and then add a link to it to your pages.
Of course, you need to make sure you add a Submit button to it so that
people can send it back to you filled-in, either via email or to a
web-based service.

How to upload words, exel, PDF file from the pc via itune to the iPad, and where will the uploaded file be saved? In the apps?

You will need an app (or apps) on your iPad that is capable of reading the documents, as they will be saved with the app - if you don't have such an app then there is nothing to transfer them to or to read/access them.
One method of transferring them is toconnect your iPad to your computer's iTunes, select it's app tab, and then scroll to the bottom of it - you should the apps That you've got that are capable of file-sharing (if you've got any).  Selecting/high-lighting one of them should then allow you to add files to it via the box to the right of it.
An alternative way to get the documents onto your iPad is if the app that you want to transfer them to has a wifi setting, which will then allow you to transfer the documents wirelessly. You can also send the documents to yourself as attachments and then use Mail's 'open in' facility to copy them into your chosen app.
Edit : more info on file sharing from the manual :
File Sharing lets you transfer files between iPad and your computer. You can share files created with a compatible app and saved in a supported format.
Apps that support file sharing appear in the File Sharing Apps list in iTunes. For each app, the Files list shows the documents that are on iPad. See the app’s documentation for how it shares files; not all apps support this feature.
    Connect iPad to your computer.
In iTunes, select iPad in the Devices list, then click Apps at the top of the screen.
In the File Sharing section, select an app from the list on the left.
On the right, select the file you want to transfer, then click “Save to” and choose a destination on your computer.
Transfer a file from your computer to iPad:
    Connect iPad to your computer.
In iTunes, select iPad in the Devices list, then click Apps at the top of the screen.
In the File Sharing section, click Add.
Select a file, then click Choose (Mac) or OK (PC).
The file is transferred to your device and can be opened using an app that supports that file type. To transfer more than one file, select each additional file.
Delete a file from iPad: Select the file in the Files list, then tap Delete.

  • How to allow a fillable PDF to be saved

I have a user that created a fillable PDF file. Now we want to send that out ot staff and allow them to fill it out and save a copy. How do we enable this feature? It currently only allows to print a filled out form or to save a blank copy.
    Thanks,
    Justin

In that case it's under Advanced>Extend features in Adobe Reader.
One thing to keep in mind that there is a limit of 500 uses for these forms. If they are using them internally and have less than 500 employees, they should be in the clear. You can send the form to 500 or less people and they can submit them an indefinite amount of times OR, you can send them to an indefinite amount of people but only collect the data from the form up to 500 times.

  • How to automatically create fillable PDFs from XML

We are looking for a way to create fillable PDFs that users can enter data into and save (so the PDF needs Reader Rights applied) and we want to be able to automatically create these PDFs from XML files. We are able to do what we want in a manual fashion using Acrobat Pro v8 but we need a way to automate this due to the volume of XML files that we will need to convert.
Is there any way that this can be scripted from a command line interface with Acrobat.. like:
    Acrobat.exe –input FileName.xml –output FileName.pdf –applyReaderRights true
If there is no command line options for this is there any way that this could be coded using .NET or any other programming language?

You cannot automate applying usage rights with Acrobat. For that you'd need to use Adobe's LiveCycle Reader Extensions.
How exactly are you currently converting XML into fillable forms? Are you using an XDP to somehow convert to an XFA-based PDF?

  • How to create a fillable PDF from InDesign?

    Hi everybody!
Hope there's no thread about that... by the way. I have to create a fillable PDF from a InDesign file.
I try to explain: with ID I'd create a file with text form, tables, images with text forms on them etc.... Now I have to export that in PDF and I want to transform the forms (sorry for the bad english, I'm italian) in fillable ones in PDF. How can I do it?
    Thanks to everyone!
    Dario

Export the ID file as an Interactive PDF.
Open the PDF form in Acrobat XI  and then:
File > Save As Other > Reader Extended PDF > Enable More Tools (includes for fill-in & save). . . Your users will be able to fill in the form and save it (assuming they have the later versions of Acrobat Reader).
Make sure you keep a copy of your original PDF with a different file name as once you've created a Reader Enabled PDF Form you can't change it.

  • I upload the interactive pdf to my website, but it will not download off my website.

I made a simple interactive form in Livecycle Designer.  I upload it to my company's website, but it WILL NOT DOWNLOAD off of my website.  Someone else in my office has a different version of Adobe Acrobat and when he makes interactive pdfs and uploads them to the website, they download just fine.  Why!?  Any help will be much appreciated.

This doesn't sound like a LC Designer issue, but more of a broken link issue. Try right clicking and copy the link location. Then drop it in an email and send it to your web admin to see if the link is correct. More than anything else, it's most likely a problem with the link.

  • How to edit and save pdf inside a website

I have multiple users i.e. 200 users on my website and I want to have an editable pdf, which I want each user to edit online and save the information. I can access and edit pdf online in website but it doesn't save the information what user enters. What all I need to do to save the information, user enters? Also, do I need to setup separate pdf for each user, I think yes but how can I setup pdf for each user?

"Edit" how, exactly? Unless you're all working via SharePoint (or something
similar) what you're describing is not going to work.

  • How to upload photos from pro to online website

    Hi there-
I just got the Mac Pro with Retina and haven't had a chance to do my 1:1 yet.
I'm trying to upload photos from my library to an online website to make cards, but I can't do it.
    How do I do this?
    TIA

The Costco website probably needs you to export the photos out of iPhoto to a regular Finder folder before it can find them.
iPhoto does provide a way to print cards through an Apple server or share it electronically to any of several social media sites, but it does not interface directly with Costco.
Can the Costco site pull photos from Flickr? That's one of the places iPhoto can export to.

  • How to upload.mobi & .epub files to a website?

    Hello,
I work with authors who are wanting to sell their e-books directly as an .epub or .mobi file so that it can be easily download onto e-readers.
Currently BC only support pdf as an automatic download unfortunately so we could possibly get around this by creating a download page.
Has anyone created a download page so that the .epub & .mobi files can be downloaded easily onto e-readers etc?
    Thank you
    Carolyn

    Hi Liam,
This is the question I put into BC Support yesterday
    Hello Support,
Not sure where this fits in as an enquiry.
I work with authors who are self published and they offer for sale e-books. Now I am sure you are aware the platforms for e-books has changed quite rapidly in the past 18 months and more. But now with so many e readers out there, people are wanting to download a file that is compatible to their e reader, the same that they are able to download from the likes of Barnes & Noble, iDownloads, Amazon etc. I am now been asked by my authors that they want to offer a compatible file for download for these e-readers directly from their website. At present all we offer is a pdf which doesn't have the capabilities of an .epub file.
I couldn't find any answers in the knowledge base relating to these files.
My question is are we able to upload epub files for automatic download on BC? Will the system have any problems with a .epub file that you know of?
    Look forward to your reply.
    Thank you
    Carolyn
This is the reply I got back from BC Support
    Thank you for contacting us.
I have gone through the details.
This is unfortunately not possible , we can only use pdf format.
But I will try to pass on this information to product team as an enhancement request.
Also I would suggest you to post this in forums so that we can know for some workaround or if some of the partners have implemented this.
So I am just looking for some answers as to how to or can I upload .mobi & .epub files that will download directly onto folks e-readers. Has some body done it, I have read in some of the forums on the internet around these files and some say you have to add a bit of script that allows the file to download cleanly onto devices, I haven't found a definitive answer as yet.Hence the reason for asking this question.
Appreciate any help on this matter.
    Thank you

  • How do I put a PDF on my website?  It needs to be scrollable.

I have an open PDF in Preview.  How do I put it on a web page of mine?  I took a screenshot of the Preview window, but now the cursor is the little + thing that wants to draw an area to select.  So I don't know whether this shot is scrollable.
I need to be educated here.
    Thank you
    Jerry

Screen shots are not scrollable.  They are just static image files.
To include it on a webpage of yours, put it on your server and make a link to the file of the file name.   Mind you those browsing the website without an appropriate Acrobat plugin will probably launch Acrobat reader, and it won't be readable in the browser.   Acrobat files are handled differently depending on the plugin.   A better way to deal with it, is learn some HTML and use Textwrangler by http://www.barebones.com/ to code your page with the correct HTML to make it look like the Acrobat page.  You'll have to select all, and copy the Acrobat document into your HTML text document.  Then you'll have to mark it up.   Unfortunately you can't expect everyone to have an Acrobat plugin.
