How to use a ASUS CD to burn pic

I hace an ASUS 08D2S-U not great so far ! i just cannot find how to burn a pic to the CD from my pictures, hope someone knows
I have come close but a windows says : do you really want to burn a blanck CD to an other CD ?? lol I have OSX maverick

my mac is os10.9 i have not used interface/software, i like to keep it simple
1st all i need is to take photos or pictures from Iphoto or my pictures no movies no slide show ext and transfer them to a disk
so ok lets see what happens : disk in nothing shows up, went to finder under devices there is Remote disk and under untitled disk
I double click on untitled disk then what ? just got a new window
i went to pictures, selected one can't work it I also went to files and saw nothing there
at one time i could drag but it did not stay
that is all i can find

I have major G5 Mac with a big screen. 2 second Mac's (iMac and Mac Mini are also around) The dual G5 is good to work with FCP and dvdsp, the iMac and Mac Mini not.
I use the following scenario:
- One FCP Projekt with multiple Sequenzes
- compressor creates the output files with standard template settings
- Then copy the rendered output files to the destination Mac's and import the
Media.
- Finaly burn on all 3 Mac's at the same time
Because i have that trouble in realising this aproche, the idea might be wrong or i overlook someting.
If you start a new project with dvdsp or you "switch" to a other project,
do you use different folders,location where the encoding etc. is done ?
There is a preference section in dvdsp where you can select different location.
Default is $home / cache / dvdstudio pro / ...

Found two good answers in the forum from preivious questions:
If i have burned a dvd, i can just format all the others
(because the VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS is allreday done.
Copy the VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS onto any copy maschine while using Toast for example. DO NOT CLICK INTO THOSE FOLDERS.
Version 5.x of TOAST made trouble if you do so ...
Currently i am trying both Methodes.

Is it possible to see what iDVD did?

I don't know any way you can interrogate iDVD to reveal settings to the extent that you can in a Compressor project. What you could do is open up the show's VOB in MPEG STreamclip, go to File and Reveal Stream Information; that will at least give you some rudimentary info like average bit rate. Perhaps someone, with more iDVD experience, can chime in here.
The broader question is why use Compressor at all if your current workflow is doing the job to your satisfaction?
The value of Compressor is that it gives you control over the many parameters that affect size quality. and playability. The Compressor presets can give you a starting point for DVD delivery, Web, etc. From those presets, people typically experiment by adjusting the parameters until they get the desired results for their specific show. It's a little bit science and a little bit art. After experimenting, you may be able to get slightly better quality for the project you've successfully burned in iDVD by using Compressor and something likeToast…or maybe not.

I installed PTPublisher on a virtual machine, and I was wondering what kind of tasks you wanted to control within LabVIEW. From the program GUI, it appears like the only way to access functions is via mouse clicks. Do you know of any other way to control the Bravo II CD burner besides the PTPublisher software? If not, does the PTPublisher allow you to control it in some way other than clicking?

Hi all. My brother in-law sent us two .mkv videos and a DVD .iso he wants me to use in a video I am cutting for him. The only trouble is, I've no idea how to get them into a format PremPro can handle.
I've searched and the only solutions I have found are infinitely complicated for me. Avisynth is certainly beyond me.
Anyone know of a way to convert .mkv (info lists 942x720 H.264 4:2:0 YUV MPEG4 AVC) into something useable?
Same question for an ISO file.

By the way, this is not for anything 'important' nor am I getting paid, so I have no budget tp purchase software. I am sure there must be a free solution.

Can anyone explain how to use VLC to transcode? The settings are endless and NONE look correct. Everything is about coverting and shrinking and that is not what I want.
I have looked into this so many times and cannot find how to do it. I know it must be simple, but clearly I am blind.
What I need is to take whatever is inside that stupid MKV wrapper and extract it. Transcode it. I have been trying for A YEAR now and have never been able to find a solution.
I'm on a PC and unfortunately, there are free solutions for a MAC. But that won't help me.
EDIT: One option I see is tsMuxer! But which setting for Output? I can choose...

To explain more, I have a Blu-Ray I purchased and want to add the audio from my laserdisc, since the remixed audio on the disc sucks (hard). I'll also add English subtitles. To be clear, this work is for ME for my own personal use.
Here is a screen grab from tsMuxer. Which to choose? I will place the audio and video in Premiere Pro. Sync the old Laserdisc audio up and then EXPORT to Adobe Encore to burn a new BD.

How to use a .dmg file in Arch Linux

I have a file a friend gave me from his Mac computer with a .dmg file name. I haven't been able to pinpoint exactly how to use this type of file... I believe its an Apple raw disk image or something like that.. sort of like an iso. I need to use this file in order to start an application and download it onto Arch Linux. The problem is that I can't figure out how to use it on Arch Linux and burn it onto a Cd. Has anyone had experience with this sort of thing? I am completely lost.

iCloud storage doesn't affect the available storage on your device. It's for backing up your device and syncing your data, so you can recover the data if needed.
You probably need to import photos/videos to your computer or another destination (like a photo kiosk & burn CDs), and then delete them from your device. Or, delete some unused apps from your device.

do a search for fscommand in the Flash CS3 help and look for
a file heading called AS2.0 Migration Once you find that file, do a
search for fscommand again inside the document.

if I run xvkbd in terminal or exec xvkbd, xvkbd graphic keyboard appear full screen.
It doesn't pop up when an application which concern with text typing, Eg. leafpad or even terminal open.

Actually, I have Arch + ratpoison installed on Asus EeePC 900.
It has only 1GB CPU and 1GB Ram and its keyboard is not working well.
I mean some key doesn't print any character at all.
but its trackpad (mousepad) is working perfectly.
So, I need a on-screen keyboard working well to avoid those keys not working.

limited in how to record iMovie files to DVD media.

party 'trial use' applications which may be OK; some of

any recent or Mavericks-compatible Apps to burn to DVD.

First up, you don't have to use Compressor to burn a Bluray Disc.
FCP X can do this with it's own built-in software. Compressor of course can do the job.
In my experience some burners work and some don't.

Assuming your mac has at least 25 GB's of available hard drive space on the boot volume and an S-Drive as opposed to a combo drive; the latter only reads dvd's while the former both reads and writes to dvd, then you should be able to, yes.
But follow the iMovie> iDvd Tutorial/s first.
