How to use a check box in smart forms????

Hi All,
Pls let me know how to use check boxes in smartforms.....??
there are check boxe available which are crossed (i.e,, selected checkboxes) in the smartforms..
But i need a checkbox which are not selected.( i.e.., which are not crossed).
Its really urgent...

Re: how to display symbols in smartforms
We can create symbols in smartforms. For this, change the editor to text editor and then goto insert->characters->SAP Symbols and select the symbol you want.
You cannot see the symbols in print preview, it'll appear only on a hard copy.
You can also create as Text Element. In the left side of the right window,you can see a icon called Editor.Click it.
Then in the Menu,
go to->Change Editor
Then in the menu,
Insert->Characters->Displayable characters,select the character you want.Otherwise,if you want to insert SAP Icon,select that option instead of Displayable Character.

I want Print Priview of check box on smart forms.
I get the checkbox symbol when i give the print out but it not show in priview.

Hi,
If you used the symbols then you cannot see the print preview of the checkboxes. This can seen in the print. If you want to have the print preview of checkbiex you have to create the Window of same size as check size and place it where you required. This cannot be possible with symbols

How to use Multiple Check Box control to make a list of items in check box

I have a use case where i have to save update list of items required, and i want to implement it through viewobject and use Multiple check box control, how do i go about it? Code snippet will be helpful........

How to use the check box?

How is the check box to be used? If I have 10,000 songs in my itunes library and have 1,000 of them checked, how can I place all 1,000 checked songs into a new playlist that I have created just for them. They are not located together in my library so I can't just hold down the SHIFT key and highlight them all for movement. Also, I would rather not have to hold down the CONTROL key and then search through 10,000 songs for the 1,000 I have checked. So what is the secret to accomplishing this?
Can you sort your library by whether a songs is checked or not? If I could sort them all together as a group, then I could use the SHIFT key to highlight and move them all.
Am I missing something here? How can you select and sort songs by whether they are checked or not in your library?

If only the 1,000 songs you want are currently checked, create a Smart Playlist to collect them.
How to Create a Smart Playlist
- File=>New Smart Playlist
- Playlist is 'whatever playlist you want to use'
- Match only checked songs
Note: There is no way to select the Main Library. If you're working with the Library as a base, you'll need un-check the 'Match the following rule' and check 'Limit to' and put a high enough number to capture all the songs.
Several ways to creatively manage the issue.
You may wish to create a Static Playlist once you are done, and drag those songs into it for more permanence.

How to use a check box in ALV

Hi All,
I have a urgent requirement in my ALV list.
Where in the output list i need to create a check box, which is followed by Sales order, quantity columns etc......
Requirement: 1. tell me how to create a check box
2. i need to select the checkbox(Sales Order) and press a push button which is above the list(push button) in the tool bar.
I am able to see the output using reuse_alv_grid_display.
But kindly let me know how to link the check box and the push button which is above the list for further processing.
Possibly a sample code will help a lot.

TO create a check box, take one field in your internal table as:
CHK TYPE C.
Now, pass the LAYOUT by filling up the LAYOUT strucutre.
LAYOUT-BOX_FIELDNAME = 'CHK' .
This will provide you the BOX field in the GRID and Checkbox in the LIST.
When you select the checkbox the field value will set to 'X' in the table.

im still begineer in smart form , i have two headings like
company_code: purchase doc no:
after this i have a table to be displayed with four columns
what i want is the whole data should not be split by a page break
i know this can be achieved by using protect and end protect in sap scripts how to implement in smart form

probably u have the table inside a loop or a folder or something....

In some cases you may want to avoid that text is divided by a page break. Therefore, you can protect text sections with a page protection.
Page protection can extend to
a paragraph
a text node
all output within a folder, for example, several text nodes combined in this folder.
a line type (table node)
If on the current page there is not enough space left for the protected text, it is displayed entirely on the next page.
So u can page protect a line in table...
in the table node..goto tables tab and click the details tab-->select the line type and check the 'no page break'

How to use Multiple Logos in One Smart Form?

All,
I have a client where they will have 2 logos for, e.g. "Invoicing" and want the form to decide which logo to print (based on plant code).
We are using Smartforms.
They want to use one form and based on the plant code - the form should determine which logo to print in the upper left corner of the invoice - how do you do this?
This is not like having text to print on the form in the same place - my understanding is the logo is NOT some variable you can "clear" in the program and then use the logo you wish to show up on the printout.
Does this have something to do with using multiple layouts within the same form? You define a layout for each logo and then within the Smartform logic determine which layout to print? And if that is true - does someone have sample code of how they determined which layout to use?

Hi Scott,
Create two Graphics in Smartform window & place them wherver you want in the smart form.
Now in Graphics node, you can find 'Conditions' tab, under this you can give the conditions.

How to use loop inside table in smart form

Hi All
i have to use page break at the end of each pernr. i got table in smart form and print cells on event on sort begin. it is working ok . i have an other itab in as well .which i want to the same page with respect to the pernr no.
but the problem is as i loop the 2nd itab. it prints all the record what it has.
e.g i have two pernr 54 and 55.
the records of itab1 prints on page1 and page 2 properly. now i loop at itab2 it also have relevent records of above said pernrs. but i m unable to control those pernrs and loop print all the records on both pages.
if u get some thing out of it kindly help me

Place the second loop ie. itab2 inside the first loop of itab1. And in the conditions tab of looping itab2 give the condition for checking the pernr.
try to implement this logic.
loop itab
at new pernr
    new-page
endat.
    loop at itab2 where pernr eq itab-pernr.
   endloop.
endloop.
revert back for further queries.

i am making a smart forms in which i want to use my own created STYLE even tough i already copied my style from the existing one and activate it it but when i m going to use it at SMART FROM,it give me SMART FROM default style.i can't understand what is the issue and why it is not showing in smart form even i have already activate it.

How to name the Check Box as "Want Free Gift" using PARAMETERS statements

Hi all,
I am new to check boxes. I have a existing report where I have to add a check box to the selection screen.
So i said
PARAMETERS: p_cncldc AS CHECKBOX.
everythibng is fine and I get the check box on the selection screen. when i execute the report i get the name of check box as p_cncldc. but i want the name of the check box as "Want Free Gift".
How to name the check box as "Want Free Gift".
if i am saying
PARAMTERS: Want Free Gift AS CHECKBOX. it says a syntax error saying it canot be more that 8 chars.
Some one please help. I am new to Check boxes

How to handle the check box in the alv tree display

Hello,
in my ALV Tree Report i have a check box in the output.
I have one check box in the selection screen as select all .
if this is selected then all the check boxes in the output must be selected that is (X).
am using CL_GUI_ALV_TREE for this.
Please give me some input how to make that check boxes 'X' in the above mentioned case.

parameter: pa_check as checkbox.
To define the input field of a parameter as a checkbox, you use the following syntax:
PARAMETERS ...... AS CHECKBOX ......
Parameter is created with type C and length 1. In this case, you may not use the additions TYPE and LIKE. Valid values for are ' ' and 'X'. These values are assigned to the parameter when the user clicks the checkbox on the selection screen.
If you use the TYPE addition to refer to a data type in the ABAP Dictionary of type CHAR and length 1 for which 'X' and ' ' are defined as valid values in the domain, the parameter automatically appears as a checkbox on the selection screen.
REPORT DEMO.
PARAMETERS: A AS CHECKBOX,
B AS CHECKBOX DEFAULT 'X'.

How to create a check box that can be unchecked

How do I create check boxes that can be checked and the unchecked in Forms Central?
For example, if you accidentally check a box - you want to uncheck it. Right now it doesn't allow you to do that.

Are you sure you're not using radio buttons? Check boxes behave the way you'd expect for me with a form generated by FormsCentral.
I'm going to move this to the FormsCentral form since the team there may want to take a look at the form.

In a window go for text elements & then go for change editor & use the following:
Insert->Characters->SAP symbols->SYM_CHECKBOX
It will not show checkbox in print preview. Take a printout.
