How to use a control instead of indicator?
I have the program written and i'd like to change the indicators to control in order to be able to control the rate myself. Ofcourse it gives me bad wire when i do that. is there anyway i can do that with adding something so it wouldn't give me bad wire?
Hello,
As you are probably aware, the difference between controls and indicators is that a control corresponds to an input and an indicator corresponds to an output. It is not possible to wire an output to a control because a control does not have an input to be wired to.
If all you want to do is change an indicator to a control and then wire it to an input, you can simply right-click on the inidicator and select Change to Control. If you want to take advantage of Local Variables, you could right-click on the indicator and select Create >> Local Variable. Using a Local Variable, you could change it to Read, such that you could then have an pseudo-indicator that has an output that you can wire to an input.
If you want to control the rate, then you will
have to determine if this is a settable attribute, and then wire a control to the input.
I hope this helps.

How to use table control in bdc, plz somebody tell me.
Hi Gurus,
Ples tell me
how to use table control in bdc, plz somebody tell me.
And send Sample CODE also. Thnaks in advance.hi,
Table control / step loop in BDC
Steploop and table contol is inevitable in certain transactions. When we run BDC for such transactions, we will face the situation: how many visible lines of steploop/tablecontrol are on the screen?
Although we can always find certain method to deal with it, such as function code 'NP', 'POPO', considering some extreme situation: there is only one line visible one the screen, our BDC program should display an error message. (See transaction 'ME21', we you resize your screen to let only one row visible, you can not enter mutiple lines on this screen even you use 'NP')
we can determine the number of visible lines on Transaction Screen from our Calling BDC program.
Demo ABAP code has two purposes:
1. how to determine number of visible lines and how to calculte page number;
(the 'calpage' routine has been modify to meet general purpose usage)
2. using field symbol in BDC program, please pay special attention to the difference
in Static ASSIGN and Dynamic ASSIGN.
Step1: go to screen painter to display the screen 121, then we can count the fixed line on this screen, there is 7 lines above the steploop and 2 lines below the steploop, so there are total 9 fixed lines on this screen. This means except these 9 lines, all the other line is for step loop.
Then have a look at steploop itselp, one entry of it will occupy two lines.
(Be careful, for table control, the head and the bottom scroll bar will possess another two fixed lines, and there is a maximum number for table line)
Now we have : FixedLine = 9
LoopLine = 2(for table control, LoopLine is always equal to 1)
Step2: go to transaction itself(ME21) to see how it roll page, in ME21, the first line of new page is always occupied by the last line of last page, so it begin with index '02', but in some other case, fisrt line is empty and ready for input.
Now we have: FirstLine = 0
or FirstLine = 1 ( in our case, FirstLine is 1 because the first line of new page is fulfilled)
Step3: write a subroutine calcalculating number of pages
(here, the name of actual parameter is the same as formal parameter)
global data: FixedLine type i, " number of fixed line on a certain screen
LoopLine type i, " the number of lines occupied by one steploop item
FirstLine type i, " possbile value 0 or 1, 0 stand for the first line of new " scrolling screen is empty, otherwise is 1
Dataline type i, " number of items you will use in BDC, using DESCRIBE to get
pageno type i, " you need to scroll screen how many times.
line type i, " number of lines appears on the screen.

begin type i, " from parameter of loop
end type i. " to parameter of loop
*in code sample, the DataTable-linindex stands for the table index number of this line

example 1
BDC table control is an area on the screen in which you can display data in tabular form. You process it using a loop. Table controls are comparable to step loop tables. While a table control consists of a single definition row, step loop blocks may extend over more than one row. Table controls are more flexible than step loops, and are intended to replace them
When you need to handle a scenario like in sales order,it may contain more than one material,if you have more than one material We have to use table control,it will have number of columns and number of rows.
Table controls allow you to enter, display, and modify tabular data easily on the screen

How to use table control in LSMW
Hello All,
I have requirement to use LSMW , in my using transaction have table control ,I need to pass values in table control . how to use table control in LSMW .Can any one give me the solution for this.
Best regards,
Satya.Note: The recording function records a fixed screen sequence. It cannot be used for migrating data containing a variable number of items or for transactions with dynamic screen sequences!
Tip: It is possible to create a recording via SHDB, generate a program out of this recording, and adopt the program to your needs and registrate the program to be able to use it in LSMW.
Thats means, for creation of project and WBS Elements is not possible through
1. LSMW-BDC (For both CJ01 and CJ20n)
2. LSMW-BAPI (Method: Maintain is not listed )
3. LSME-Standard Batch Direct Input.
Its possible through programmatically(SE38.) either using BAPI Or BDC.
Thanks, -

How to use the Control lines of a parallel port as Input lines to be read using Labview ?
The details are :
NI Software : LabVIEW
Version : 5.0
OS : Windows 95
NI Hardware : N/A
Drivers : N/A
CPU : Pentium
RAM : 48
Vendor : darcom
Customer Information :
SPEL TESTING
SPEL, INDIA

Ph: (91) 4114 53818
We do not have any DAQ cards within the PC. We have the parallel port which is EPP and ECP compatible having the address 278h on LPT2 and we are trying use this port for reading 8bit data from an external circuit. We developed a vi program in Labview 5.0 to control the parallel port.We tried with the Data lines to send signals from PC to external device through this parallel port with the addr
ess 278h (which
is Data lines) and it works fine. We also tried using reading 4bit data from external
device to PC through this port with the address 279h (which is Status lines) and it
is also working fine.
But it was not possible for us to read through Control lines whose address is 27Ah. Whereas when line printer (dot matrix printer) was
connected, it was possible for us to take print out. Thus printer was working. This
informed us that the control lines are all OK!
Can you please clarify, how to use both control lines and status lines to read 8 bit data through this parallel port using the Labview software.There are several Knowledge Base entries about this on the NI site, but probably the most detailed document is on the Advanced Measurements (www.advmeas.com) website. Try looking at this page, I think you will find it useful.

Could someone please tell me where I can info on how to use the controls I.e live pause,forward,rewind etc when watching live shows on my ipad mini please.
well, i can't really tell if i am only allowed one connection with this isp. basically, whenever i plug in the ethernet cord, all of the information gets filled in in the ethernet section of the network, except for the router info. there is router info filled in on my sister's computer whenever i plug the cord into her computer, though. does that mean i can't also use the modem for my computer? sorry, this is both my first time using a mac and my first time using anything other than dial-up, so i'm pretty lost. thanks for the info you've given me thus far.

How to use URL class instead of Socket
Hi all. I am developing a small inventory control system for a warehouse.
I am suing a Java desktop application that connects to a servlet via Internet.
I have been searching the net how to use JSSE for my application since i am new to secure sockets and JSSE.
Since I havent implemented security In my current system yet, i am using URLConnection conn = url.openConnection(); to connect to a servlet.
However, in a good tutorial that I found about JSSE, sockets are used directly for connection, insted of URLCOnnection. They use the code like this: SSLSocketFactory sf = sslContext.getSocketFactory();
SSLSocket socket = (SSLSocket)sf.createSocket( host, port ); Since, using sockets is overly complex for me, I want to make use of the URLConnection class instead to keep it simple.
Could anyone please tell me how to make use of the URLConnection class to establish secure http connection.
by the way, the tutorial is here:
http://www.panix.com/~mito/articles/articles/jsse/j-jsse-ltr.pdf
thanks.Here you go. The following code snippet allows you post data to http URL. If you have to do the same to https URL , please let me know.
OutputStream writeOut = null;
HttpURLConnection appConnection = null;
URL appUrlOpen = null;
//data to be posted.
String data = "This is the test message to post";
byte[] bytesData = this.data.getBytes();
appUrlOpen = new URL(""Your Servlet URL");
appConnection = (HttpURLConnection) appUrlOpen.openConnection();
appConnection.setDoOutput(true);
appConnection.setDoInput(true);
appConnection.setUseCaches(false);
appConnection.setInstanceFollowRedirects(false);
appConnection.setRequestMethod("post");
appConnection.setRequestProperty("Content-Type","application/text");
appConnection.setRequestProperty("Content-length", String.valueOf(bytesData.length));
writeOut=appConnection.getOutputStream();
writeOut.write(bytesData);
writeOut.flush();
writeOut.close();
String inputLine;
StringBuffer sb = new StringBuffer();
reader = new BufferedReader(new InputStreamReader(appConnection.getInputStream()));
char chars[] = new char[1024];
int len = 0;
//Write chunks of characters to the StringBuffer
while ((len = reader.read(chars, 0, chars.length)) >= 0)
sb.append(chars, 0, len);
System.out.println("Response " + sb.toString());

hi,
I created an entity bean and I created an ejb control. Now I would like to
use this ejb control inside of a jsp (no page flow).
When I use the ejb without the control I do the follwing steps :
- get the local home
- call finder methode
- get the local object
- call getMethod() and display content
Can someone please post an example how to use the netui-data tags to do this
steps or do I have to use the controls in a total different way?
Can someone please tell me how to use the ejb control inside a normal java
class?
MichaelDo you want to use taglibs or develop custom tags? Either way take a look at these:

How to use Tree control like a Tree in SAP HANA Live Browser?
Hello SDN!
I need a Tree control such as following:
As I understand, there is no such standard control in SAPUI5 control library. Is it possible to use this control? If yes, how I can embed it in my app?
Regards,
LevHi Sandip!
Thanks for your tip. I've applied this example to my app. Tree is working now, but this is a little problem - on each expand/collapse and click on treeItem the onAfterRendering() method called. It means that the complete rerender of tree executed which looks not good. How I can avoid this?

How to use Spring MVC instead of assembler.jsp in endeca 3.1.0
Hi ,
I am new to Endeca . I want to use spring MVC instead of assembler.jsp .Some body please help
me how can i do it. Wht all i have to do to achieve it.
Thanks
MarkHi Mark,
When using the 3.1 Assembler in your application, you can use either the jar file directly or set up the Assembler as an HTTP service and process the XML or JSON responses. Neither of these approaches conflicts with using Spring in your application.
