How to use a dropdown in a workbook which can work in different queries?

Hi Experts,
        I have created a workbook which can display the query by using the 'Push Button'. One query is based on material analysis and another one on product analysis.
        It works good..
        In that workbook, I want to use a dropdown so that it can display the required key figure. (Note : In both the queries, key figures are same.)
        While selecting the keyfigure option in the properties of dropdown, the target data provider is not visible.
        So, pls help me to use the dropdown which can work in both the queries.

Hi,
After fixing the error in the role I noticed that all I should do is to publish the querry in a new role.
From that moment a user that is tied to new role can read the old report using the rights associated in a new role.

    that is saleshistory has more than one record of empid in it.
    empcode is number(9,0) and empname is varchar2(200), sales number(10,5),empid is number(10,0)

    This sounds like a job for the analytic SUM function.
    Since you didn't post CREATE TABLE and INSERT statements for your own table, I can't test with your table. I'll show how to do his using the scott.emp table instead. In scott.emp, there can any number of rows with the same job, just as in your table there can be any number of rows for the same empid.

    I am working on a report that will show 2 drop down boxes. These should be used as a date range.
    This works fine if I use 2 variables as a date range on 0CALYEAR. However I dont want the user to fill in the dates but selecting the dates with 2 drop down boxes.
    I cannot manage to get this to work. I saw some comments about user exits in the forum but I cannot figure it out if there is an easier way.
    Could you give me an idea of what to do?

    Hi,
    If you want the user to select the date directly rather than entering, you need not to have a dropdown menu in WAD. Directly go to the query which you have selected for the object in WAD, there create a variable with calendar. Put it mandatory, so that the user selection of the date will be mandatory. The variable will be automatically be available when you execute the template inn the browser.

  • How to use Airport Extreme to create a second wireless network with different IP addresses behind an existing modem/router?

    Hi,
    I have an existing modem/router from my ISP that does DHCP and NAT with base IP 192.168.1.1 distributed in the wireless network. I use this wireless network for our private devices. I could turn off the DHCP server in this first router, but there isn't a separate setting to turn off NAT.
    I want to connect my Airport Extreme (4th gen) to this existing router to create a separate wireless network for visiting guests, where IP addresses of 10.0.0.0 etc. are used. So I do not want to use the Airport Extreme in bridge mode, as I would like to keep the devices on the first network 'invisible' for those on the second network. (P.S. when connected in bridge mode, the Airport works well and can distribute a network with a different name from the first. It's just that I would feel more comfortable about our privacy if the Airport were to distribute a different IP range. False security, maybe?)
    I've tried doing this by 'Sharing a public IP address' in Airport Utility's Internet tab, leaving TCP/IP's setting to 'via DHCP', setting DHCP addresses to start with 10.0.0.2 up to 200 with all else blank, and not using a standard host nor NAT-PMP in the NAT tab.
    When I do this the Airport complains of a 'double NAT issue'. Internet connectivity seems to be OK, but when switching between the two networks on my Mac I get complaints about my IP address being in use by another device intermittently.
    Can anyone help in how to get the 'double NAT issue' resolved?

    As I said above.....since the modem/router and AirPort are bridged, devices on the modem/router wireless will be able to "see" devices on the AirPort wireless, and vice versa.....

    The modem/router and AirPort Extreme are bridged. They are on the same network. All devices are on the same network when the modem/router and AirPort are bridged. Not sure how else that I can say this.
    Also, because it is bridged, I shouldn't have any problems accessing the HD I will have connected to the AirPort Extreme from an external location?
    Accessing devices from a remote location is never easy....and a topic for a different post/discussion. If you have a "static" Internet IP address from your provider, and have all the details on how to forward ports on your modem/router, you are off to a good start.
    Apparently there is some addressing issues because devices can be seen as "Double IP" because the modem/router would have allocated IP's as well as the AirPort allocating IP's thus making connections slower until resolved
    When you "bridge", all IP addresses are issued by one device. There will be no conflicts on the network, since they are bridged.
    Once again, in very simple terms, you have two doors (access points) that open into the same room (network).  One "door" is the modem/router and the other "door" is the AirPort Extreme. They are on the same network....("room") because they are bridged.

    You are trying to use a credit card, not a debit card - there have been a number of posts recently from people whose debit cards are being declined, so I'm not sure if they are still a valid payment method (they are not listed on this page).
    If it is a credit card, then is it registered to exactly the same name and address as you have on your iTunes account (including format and spacing etc) and you are currently in that country : http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1646 ? If it is then you could try what it says at the bottom of that page :
    If the issue persists, contact your credit card company and verify that they and any company they use to process credit card authorisations have the correct information on file.

    you need to pass custom structure in that..
    ands conactenate 12 field of your structure and pass in to value1 in bapirex structure and append.

    When you buy individual songs from the iTunes Store:

    We have created some custom forms  in SharePoint 2007 (for add a New item and Edit item for some list and libraries) after migration to SP 2010 we found out thet we can use those custom forms because the document versions are 12.0.0.0 which
    should be 14.0.0.0  in  SharePoint 2010
    Could someone please tell me if we can migrate forms from SP2007 to SP2010 as well?
    I even tried to change document Version and content but still not working! Do we need to recreate those forms in SP2010?

    Whether you tried to set the forms update automatically, then re-publish them.

    I think it is better to handle the exceptions in the JavaBean itself, so now yyou can change the method signature of getConnectionExists , remove all exceptions from method signature but handle them with a try/catch inside the method itself.

    First , appologize for my english , i'm a french guy :)
    So my problem is that i would like to re-install everything on a A45-S250 by using the recovery CD.
    But the main problem is that the internal DVD drive is not running anymore.
    I've try by plugging an external DVD drive, but the laptop don't want to boot on it.
    I've seen that it can boot through a floppy drive, lan, or SD card. But with theses possibilities , how to be able to reinstall everything include in the recovery CD ?
    I may have a usb floppy drive, so i'll be able to boot on a disk boot. but then how to start the recovery CD procedure ?
    I'll prefer to use the recovery CD as a WinXP home standart, cause i know that the OEM serial won't work to a Original version of WinXP ...

    If you want to use the Recovery CD then you would need a bootable CD/DVD drive.
    Fact is that you would be not able to boot from a USB CD/DVD drive or its not possible to copy the whole stuff on the SD card and then to boot
    You need an internal CD/DVD drive or external CD/DVD drive which could be connected to the PCMCIA port
    For me only these two possibilities could work!

    I have an issue with the white space coming when I am making subform visible/hidden using java script based on condition.
    Let me explain the complete scenario. I have created an adobe form for printing invoice details, basically I have two pages, the second page is used to handle overflow content from first page and the requirement is that we should show totals section on last page only when we multple page invoice output. To do that I have written a script on second page for total sub form in such a way that the subform will be visible only on last page and will be not visible on any other page. But due to hiding the element I am getting white space in other pages which I dont want. I want to continue to print the items deatisl in that place to use that empty space.
    Can you guys help me to solve this.
