How to use a Nano in a Dodge Caravan

I bought cables with right and left inputs that go into the jacks on the front of the six CD/DVD changer. The manual says to put the radio in AUX mode. That's the rub--can't put it in AUX mode, only AM, FM, external disc, etc.
Does anyone know how to make this work?
I'd rahter not use the FM transmitter type of adapter.

Are the jacks on the front of the CD/DVD changer for OUTPUT or INPUT? Have you tried "external disc" as the input mode?
This question would be better answered in some other forum related to Dodge automotive audio...

How to use old nano ipod with new computer

Your iPod is designed to sync with only one iTunes library at a time.  It will recognize the iTunes library on the PC as a new library.  If you sync the iPod with this new library, all content will be erased from the iPod and replaced with what is in the new library.  So what you will want to do is copy everything from the iPod to your new iTunes library on your PC first.
See this older post from another forum member Zevoneer covering the different methods and software available to assist you with the task of copying content from your iPod back to your PC and into iTunes.

You cannot. No Japanese carrier offers unlocking. You'll need to sell the phone and buy one you can actually use outside of Japan.

Call Apple Care.   You are still under warranty.  You also have 14 days from the date of purchase to return your iPod with no questions asked.
Take FULL advantage of your warranty.  Posting on a message board should be done as a last resort and if you are out of warranty or Apple Care has expired.

  • I bought a used ipod nano and it is associated to another itunes account. How can I change the itunes account to mine so I can register it to my account?

I bought a used ipod nano for my daughter and when I tried to register it, I got a message advising that it is registered to another iTunes account. How can I remove that association and associate it to our iTunes account?

Restore it in iTunes on your computer.
There is a difference between registering with Apple and using it with iTunes. To register it (which isn't necessary) you would have to get the previous owner to de-register it.

    PLEASE HELP ASAP!
    ZACH

    Hello Zach,
There are a couple of methods for using more than one iPod on a single computer. Have a look at the article linked below. Method one is to have two Mac or Windows user accounts which by definition would give you two completely separate libraries. Method two is to set your preferences so each iPod is updated with only certain playlists within one library. Have a look anyway and see what you think and go for whichever you feel suits your needs best: How To Use Multiple iPods with One Computer

  • How to use a div id as a php var

    Hello,
I have a form that is generated from a database with unique links that users can click and edit details about various vehicles.
Now these links are each in their own div that has an id that i would like to use for insertion back into the database. (the users click the vehicles, then edit details, then it is submitted)
The link is clicked for the vehicle, some details are changed via js windows etc, then the user click a finalize upload button to submit form
For some reason i cant figure out how to use the div id to pass via php back to the database.
what is the correct way to do this? not very experienced with ajax, and dont want to use.... but maybe hidden fields? confused.... the clicking of the unique divs does not submit the form, so not sure how to store the data effectively.... page cant be refreshed.

  • How to use bluetooth ipod dock and external speakers together

    Hi
Is there anyway to make my speakers, conected to the headphone socket at the rear of my iMac, and a bluetooth Ipod dock play together.
I've bought a Bose dock with bluetooth thinking I could then have the radio or songs playing in two different rooms but I can't seem to find out how to make the computer play through the speakers and the bluetooth, I have to pick one or the other.
    It's on  OSX 10.6.7
Thanks for any help as this has really disappointed me

David, here's my interpretation of what you just posted:
iPod nano Dock enables quick connectivity if you have a desktop computer without an easily accessible USB 2.0 port. No more reaching behind the computer to plug it in — just place iPod nano in the dock and it’s ready to sync with iTunes and charge its battery. <<</div>
This means that the dock connection connects to the internal battery and allows you to transfer data (sync w/ iTunes).
And you can plug a stereo mini cable to its line-out port and enjoy a clean, direct connection to a stereo or powered speakers<<</div>
This means you can plug a stereo mini cable into the same port you use to plug in your headphones. The other end would go into your stereo or powered speakers. Which means no dock connection with line out audio!
I would not be able to use the nano with my Altec Lansing speakers or my Sik Imp (which is how I listen to my iPod mini in my Honda Element). So no nano for me!
Apple's marketing strategy is all too clear to me now. They didn't discontinue the mini, their best selling iPod, because that's what everyone is trying to copy. They discontinued it because they felt sales of the mini were cannibalizing sales of hte regular iPod. If you wanted something more compact than the iPod but wanted dock connectivity to all the various accessories, you bought a mini. Now you buy the nano for compactness AND the regular iPod to use with the accessories. So where one product satisfied two needs for the average user (not the afficianados that have iPod collections) Apple will now happily sell you two products.
To all those people who asked what the mini has that the nano doesn't, this looks like it: line out audio through the dock connection. A very important feature!

  • Can I use my nano to add missing songs to iTunes?

I recently bought a MacBook Pro, and I've been trying to transfer my iTunes library from my old PC to my new Mac. I was having a lot of trouble with it, so I got in touch with Apple Support, who were very helpful, but nothing worked. In the process, any songs in my iTunes library that I hadn't downloaded from the iTunes store went missing. I haven't been able to find them, and neither could Apple Support. I still have everything on my iPod nano. Can I use that to add the missing songs to my iTunes library on my Mac?

Moving a library: Quick answer if you use iTunes' default preferences settings:  Copy the entire iTunes folder (and in doing so all its sub-folders and files) intact to the other drive.  Hold down the option (alt) key (shift on Windows) and open iTunes.  At the prompt to create or choose a library choose the copied iTunes folder. You would have to try really, really hard for this method not to work.
If this is to a new computer and you put the copied iTunes folder in the default location of Macintosh HD > Users > *User Name* > Music  then you don't even need to start with the option key held down, iTunes will automatically look for it there.  (Make sure there isn't anything already in the iTunes folder there that you want to keep since you will be replacing it with the one you are moving.)
Windows users see tip at: https://discussions.apple.com/message/18879381#18879381
