How to use a Web Service Proxy from a different DC?
Hi developers,
In EJB DC "dc1" I have imported a wsdl and generated proxies and service group.
In public part "compilation" of dc1 I have added all the generated proxy classes and the wsdl from META-INF/wsdl folder
EJB DC "dc2" depends on this public part (also on the mcjar public part which should hold info on the Service Group).
Here I would like to use the proxy classes defined in "dc1" to invoke the WS in my WSConsumer StatelessEJB like this:
@Stateless
public class WSConsumerBean implements WSConsumerLocal {
@WebServiceRef
ZWSWORKSHOP1 service;
public ArrayOfString testWS() {
ZWSWORKSHOP1ViDocument port = service
.getPort(ZWSWORKSHOP1ViDocument.class);
ArrayOfString retVal = port.doOperation();
return retVal;
After deploying the EAR with both the proxy and the ejb, when I try to invoke the EJB injection fails:
javax.xml.ws.WebServiceException: JAX-WS deployable proxy is instantiated with 'new' instead of been injected. Cannot find WSDL URL for service [class zws_workshop1wsd.ZWSWORKSHOP1]
Can someone help?
Thanks, regards
Vincenzo
A solution is to use JNDI lookup in EJB.
Instantiate a InitialContext and lookup the JNDI entry with the lookup String you can find in NWA -> JNDI browser
Have fun!
Thanks, regards
Vincenzo

How to use RESTful Web Services provided from BO Enterprise
Hi Experts,
i am trying to use the Web Service "BIPLATFORM" provided by BusinessObjects Enterprise. As I have trouble reading the WSDL i tried to use the REST interface.
Unfortunatally I cannot find any Docu about that in the internet.
Does anybody have experience in using the BIPLATFORM web service?
Thank you in advanceThank you very much for your instant answer and help!
I got it now: "no rest in biplatform service"
What made me think REST is possible was only the following entry in ...\webapps\dswsbobje\WEB-INF\conf\axis2.xml
"<!-- Our HTTP endpoints can handle both REST and SOAP. Following parameters can be used to distinguiush those endpoints
-->
- <!-- In case of a servlet, if you change this you have to manually change the settings of your servlet container to map this
-->
- <!-- context path to proper Axis2 servlets
-->
- <!-- <parameter name="servicePath">services</parameter>
-->
- <!-- <parameter name="restPath">rest</parameter>
-->
- <!-- Following parameter will completely disable REST handling in Axis2
-->
<parameter name="disableREST" locked="true">false</parameter>
- <!-- POJO deployer , this will alow users to drop .class file and make that into a service
-->
Anyway I was only hoping to get REST work as the WSDL provided by BusinessObjects Enterprise is not valid to be parsed by SAP Netweaver ABAP SOAP Runtime...
I regret but i have to add: The fact that the web service is only meant to work with certain consumers shows that the people responsible have little to no understanding what the idea of SOAP, SOA and WSDL really is. On the one hand SAP was always pushing their ESOA idea but on the other hand we got this strange limitations like "only for these clients..."
This is exactly the opposite of the SOAP-idea:
"The framework has been designed to be independent of any particular programming model and other implementation specific semantics." - http://www.w3.org/TR/2007/REC-soap12-part1-20070427/ -

Problem in using the Web Service generated from BAPI_FLIGHT_GETLIST
Hi all,
I am trying to use the Web Service generated from BAPI_FLIGHT_GETLIST. I have got the wsdl file, and trying to invoke it. But, while I can test the BAPI using the Airline ID AA, I can't test from the Web Service using the same data. It shows the error message - "Airline AA not found". Anyone having solution, please help. This is urgent.

How to generate a Web Service Proxy for an ESB Routing Service?
Hi,
I have a SOAP service behind an ESB Routing Service. I am aware that i can call this ESB Service at the SOAP endpoint which can be found at the ESB Console after registration.
But, i want to invoke this service using a Web Service Proxy. My understanding is that, i need to use the WSDL generated for the ESB Routing Service to generate the proxy. The WSDL which can be seen in JDeveloper does not have any soap bindings and hence the tool does not allow me to generate any proxy.
Also, the two WSDLs whose URLs can be found at the ESB Console do not have the soap endpoint properties.
Can someone help me out on the same?
Thanks and regards,
Priya.Priya,
Just take the SOAP endpoint and suffix it with a ?wsdl
Even the Concrete WSDL endpoint should be having a SOAP endpoint.

JAAS Login Module using Deployable Web Service proxy
Hi,
We've created a JAAS Login Module that calls a deployable web service proxy to validate users on Netweaver Portal 2004 SP19. To do this the following steps were taken:
1) created a deployable web proxy named 'SGU_proxy' and uploaded it to server. This project created 2 files: 'SGU_proxy.ear' (the one uploaded) and 'SGU_proxyClientAPI.jar'.
2) created a Java project named 'AgregacaoLoginModule' with a single class to authenticate users, this is the class that calls the web service with the username and password. This project references the deployable web proxy project (Properties > Java Build Path > Projects > checkbox marked next to project SGU_proxy).
3) exported the Java project class, not including the 'SGU_proxyClientAPI.jar'.
4) created a 'J2EE Server Component' > 'Library' project named 'AgregacaoLoginModuleJ2EE'.
On the 'provider.xml' file added 2 jars: 'AgregacaoLoginModule.jar' and 'SGU_proxyClientAPI.jar'. References were made to the standard portal libraries. No references were made to the proxy 'SGU_proxy' or the 'AgregacaoLoginModule' project.
The library was uploaded to the server, everything was ok and no errors were reported.
The login module was configured on the server and is called when users try to acess Portal server.
The problem is that when trying to authenticate users: after getting a reference to the proxy using jndi I get a ClassCastException. Note that this proxy is used in a WebDyn Pro application and is working fine.
The web service client proxy generated the interface 'pt.agregacao.ws.sgu.Servicos' and from jndi I get 'class pt.agregacao.ws.sgu.ServicosImpl'. So this seems to be ok, why the exception?
Is it necessary to had a reference to 'SGU_proxy' on the 'AgregacaoLoginModuleJ2EE' project? If so, how?
Thanks in advance.

11G - XDB Native Web Services - how to create a web service proxy
Hi,
I am working on XDB Native web Services (http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B28359_01/appdev.111/b28369/xdb_web_services.htm#CHDDBCHB). I want to create a proxy web service for orawsv service (http://server:port/orawsv?wsdl), which is protected by an user/password
In Jdeveloper 10133:
+ copy orawsv wsdl (http://server:port/orawsv?wsdl) in local file
+ create a proxy web service form the local wsdl (from the wizard)
+ implement the client (http://www.oracle.com/technology/obe/11gr1_db/datamgmt/xmldb2_b/xmldb2_b.htm)
==> OK
In Jdeveloper 11g
+ copy orawsv wsdl (http://server:port/orawsv?wsdl) in local file
+ create a proxy web service form the local wsdl (from the wizard)
+ how to implement the client : there is no method to set a password
any ideas?
Thanks for your help,

Edited by: cbalmati on Oct 21, 2008 6:26 AMI'm working on getting a proxy web service working in 11g and the contents of this thread is close to answering my question.
The web service proxy is accessing a service that requires a SOAP Security header.
In looking at the previous post, I thought that by using the BindingProvider API I could add the security settings. But when I invoke the proxy I consistently get the following error response from the (PeopleSoft) web service: "com.sun.xml.ws.client.ClientTransportException: request requires HTTP authentication: Unauthorized'
In contrast to that error, when I use JDeveloper's HTTP Analyzer, I get a successful response from the web service. Below is what the raw HTTP looks like:
POST https://isiswebdev.services.wisc.edu:7002/PSIGW/PeopleSoftServiceListeningConnector HTTP/1.1
Content-Type: text/xml; charset=UTF-8
Host: isiswebdev.services.wisc.edu:7002
SOAPAction: "CI_U_FA_CSA_STDTA_CI_G.V2"
Content-Length: 548
X-HTTPAnalyzer-Rules: 1

<env:Header>
<ns1:Security>
<ns1:UsernameToken>
<ns1:Username>UserName</ns1:Username>
<ns1:Password>XXXXXXX</ns1:Password>
</ns1:UsernameToken>
</ns1:Security>
</env:Header>
<env:Body>
<ns2:Get__CompIntfc__U_FA_CSA_STDTA_CI>
<ns2:EMPLID>012345678912</ns2:EMPLID>
</ns2:Get__CompIntfc__U_FA_CSA_STDTA_CI>
</env:Body>
</env:Envelope>
Here's the Java code that I'm using to try to make the same call:
public void callIWebservice(String emplId){
cSA_STDNT_DATA = new CSA_STDNT_DATA();
CI_U_FA_CSA_STDTA_CI_PortType port = cSA_STDNT_DATA.getCI_U_FA_CSA_STDTA_CI_Port();
Map<String, Object> requestContext = ((BindingProvider)port).getRequestContext();
requestContext.put(BindingProvider.USERNAME_PROPERTY, "UserName");
requestContext.put(BindingProvider.PASSWORD_PROPERTY,"XXXXXXX");
GetCompIntfcUFACSASTDTACITypeShape CiType = new GetCompIntfcUFACSASTDTACITypeShape();
EMPLIDTypeShape emplIDType = new EMPLIDTypeShape();
emplIDType.setValue(emplId);
CiType.setEMPLID(emplIDType);
try {
GetCompIntfcUFACSASTDTACIResponseTypeShape response = port.getDATA(CiType);
System.out.println(response.getCUMGPA());
} catch (M464939V1 e) {
System.out.println(e.getFaultInfo());
But, alas, I just get the ClientTransportException.
Is the Bindingprovider interface the correct way to add the soap security headers? Or am I following the wrong path?
Any help will be greatly appreciated. -

Creating Web Service Proxy From WSDL - Error SPRX046
We are attempting to create some Web Service proxy objects from some WSDL files. Some of the WSDL files contain message definitions with multiple parts such as
<i><wsdl:message name="GetNewSubmissionsResponse">
<wsdl:part element="impl:Count" name="Count"/>
<wsdl:part element="impl:MoreAvailable" name="MoreAvailable"/>
<wsdl:part element="impl:IRSData" name="IRSData"/>
<wsdl:part element="impl:StateSubmissions" name="StateSubmissions"/>
</wsdl:message></i>
This always generates the error message <b>SPRX046 - "
Msg Proxy generation terminated: Message must have exactly one part".</b>
Is this just a limitation with SAP Web AS? Has anyone dealt with this before? These WSDLs work in other environments (AXIS Java, XML Spy etc).
ThanksIt seems ABAP proxy only supports Document-Literal style WSDL. Document-literal style is supported by most Web services platforms, and is supposed to be most interoperable.
Per WS-I Basic Profile 1.0 (see [1])which provides interoperability guidance of using WSDL1.1, when the message part is defined using the @element attribute, the message can only be bound to so-called "document-Literal" style which in turn requires that the message contains only one part.The WSDL you provided violated the document-literal rules.
Have you tried to change the message definition a bit so it's BP conformant? Try defining a complex type for the subelements, then define an wrapper element to use that complex type, and finally let the message part to refer to the wrapper element. Something like,
<wsdl:message name="GetNewSubmissionsResponse">
<wsdl:part element="impl:GetNewSubmissionsResponseWrapper" name="myResponse"/>
</wsdl:message> -

How to use a Web Service Response
In the snps_users documentation it seems to be really easy but in fact...
After invoking my web service I retrieve a XML file which is my response then we would like to use it.
As written in the documentation I Export Response in XSD file, I create my XML Model but How to reverse the XSD ???
There's 4 references to XSD into all the snps_users documentation but no one talking about.
Moreover it's written See Creating and Reverse-Engineering a
Model for an XML file for more information and that's what I'm doing but no way...
So without the XSD I m trying to use the Response file like an XML file but I always have an error which looks like :
java.sql.SQLException: No root found in the DTD file
The Web Service Response XML File use NameSpace could the problem come from here ???
If someone ever use it ...
Thanks in advance.
BMWhen I specify the XSD It raises another error,
my URL is :
jdbc:snps:xml?f=C:/Temp/File.xml&d=C:/Temp/File.xsd&s=REPON&nspg=xml
Error message:
java.sql.SQLException: A SAXException was caught while reading the model saying [Element value has no type]
The XSD and the XML are generated by ODI after invoking a Web Service...
Any idea ??? -
Anyone know how to use Exchange Web Service API in PB Classic 12.5
Trying to figure out how to use the api/dll's of the EWS. I am new to web services in pb so I seem to be going nowhere fast. If you have used it I would appreciate some guidance or better yet code/instruction on how to use/access it/setup. I need to be able to get to exchange (in this case using an office365 test account) and read emails/calendar info etc..
Thanks for any help..

How to use a Web Service after creating the reference
I created a Web Service reference and APEX 3.1 and it recognizes it.
The WS has a list of customers. The XML file (WS result) has XSD then the customers data.
The only thing I can do inside APEX is to create a form based on WS with a field that has a dump of the WS result.
I do not know how to use the XML data in the WS to show the customers data in APEX.
I appreciate it, if you can point me to any article or documentation taht show to consume WS in APEX
Thanks
MoJason
My post above does not make sense because the browser converted the "lt" and "gt" that I saw in the form when I copied and paste to < and > as it should do.

How to use RESTFUL web services in SMP 3.0 Appbuilder?
Hi All,
I want to develop an application using RESTfull service. I have already developed REST service,I want to use that service in Appbuilder Application for SMP3.0. How can I call the REST services into our SMP 3.0 Appbuilder application? If i directly call the services(GET method) from Appbuilder, It is working but ODataQuery is not working for filter.
1.How to access the POST method in Appbuilder?
2.where should I provide the username and password for the login URL in our appbuilder for POST method URL?
3.How can I convert those REST service to ODATA services?In this discussion i found the solution for this issue. But Appbuilder supports the REST services i to used the REST service with GET method, I don't know how to use the POST method directly in Appbuilder?
Can any one suggest me
1.How do i querying the GET method of REST services?
2.Is there any other procedure to call the REST Service with POST method in Appbuilder? -
