How to use adobe reader on my iPad

I signed up for an online course but I can not see all of the information and I can not scroll down on the page. I'm using my iPad. I'm not very good with computers. Please help

Are your online course materials PDF documents?
If PDF documents are DRM (Digital Rights Management) protected PDFs, you will not be able to open them in Reader for iOS.
Would you check the software requirements for the online course materials?  You may need to use desktop computers/laptops to view those protected PDF documents.

How do you open a PDF File using Adobe Reader on your IPad When in IBook?

You can't. When you're in most of the PDF readers, the Share button gives you the option of Open In another app. But iBooks does not.
You need to add your PDFs through the iTunes method which Alec wrote about here:
    http://forums.adobe.com/thread/1040579?tstart=0
Or you can use another way of transferring your PDF to the iPad, like Dropbox. You install the Dropbox app on your iPad and copy your PDF from Dropbox (cloud application). It opens in Dropbox app and you use the Share icon to move it into Reader.

  • Adobe Reader does not work-how to use adobe reader on Lion

I was trying to print an international label on eBay via Adobe Reader, and was very dissapointed and shocked that it does not work on Lion.
I was so happy that I figured out how to use adobe reader on Lion, and hope I can help anyone else who is frusterated too.
    Step 1. Download Google Chrome
Step 2. Printe your international label, or whatever you need to do that uses Adobe Reader

Thanks Shelly! I too was having trouble and thought it was something wrong with my Mac. I still have a big though. When I try to print the saved pdf file, I get a pop-up that says "The document could not be printed. There are no selected pages to print" even though I am looking at the complete doc. It's there and in my print prompt "all pages" are selected to print. The way I got around this, is by emailing the pdf file to a gmail address and viewing the attachment via Google Docs. It loads perfectly and prints without a problem.

    Hey Vicky,
Using Adobe Reader on your iPAD, you cannot add new bookmarks.
But, you can navigate bookmarks in the PDF added by the author.

Sure. Download Adobe Reader from the App Store on the iPad. Or download it on iTunes, and sync it to your iPad.

  • How to use Adobe Reader, open pdfs with OS X 10.6.7?

I just got a new MacBook Pro. When I try to download Adobe Reacer or open PDFs, I get messages that say this type of Mac doesn't support Adobe Reader. I use PDFs all the time.  How do I get around this?

I am not being allowed to downoad/install Adobe Reader or open PDFs.  When I try to do either one, I get a message that this type of Mac doesn't support Adobe Reader.  I just talked to Apple Care. They told me how to open PDFs with another application andd referred me to Adobe for installation questions.  Thanks.

  • I'm have problme downloading adobe reader on my ipad

everytime i go and try to play a pogo games it keep saying i don't have flash player on my ipad, so i try to download adobe reader but i'm still getting the same problem

Sure you can use Adobe Reader on your iPad. Just get it from the App Store.
But it won't help you, because your pogo games need ADOBE FLASH PLAYER not ADOBE READER. Adobe makes lots of things, not all of them are for the iPad.

  • Lost information using Adobe Reader App

I usually highlight text from a document or write comments using Adobe Reader App for iPad. But when it synchronizes with the Acrobat Website, my information gets lost... What's happening?

    cas ecowater,
We can examine your PDF forms and determine the cause of the problem.
Would you send the PDF forms as email attachments to [email protected]?  Please include the link to this forum post (https://forums.adobe.com/thread/1634405) in your email message for reference.
    Thank you.

  • How do I sync a Word document onto my iPad, using Adobe reader?

My laptop can't connect to the Internet, so I'm trying to upload some critical documents to my iPad, using Adobe Reader. I've tried copying them via ITunes, and while the sync is supposedly successful, they don't show up in Reader on my inPad. Any suggestions.

You might also try to convert the word document to PDF using our Create PDF service:
    https://www.acrobat.com/createpdf/en/home.html
    or acrobat product:
    http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat.html?promoid=JOLIR
Further, some versions of Word support exporting PDF files directly.

  • How to restore files from Adobe Reader for iOS (iPad)?

I started using Adobe Reader for iOS to annote and comment pdf files. I used the Adobe Reader for Mac OS to upload the files to the Acrobat.com cloud.
Opening the files on iPad worked pretty straight forward and I started editing the pdf right away. When opening the pdf again a couple of days later on iPad, the app downloaded the pdf again in an older version with a couple of annotations present, but a couple of the more recent missing. This is a very disturbing behaviour since I cannot understand why it would sync an older version of the pdf from the cloud over the newer one. Luckily, this was no very important edit, but I will be very hesitant to use this feature in the future if there is a likelyhood for this happening again. Is there any possibility to recover the file with the original edits from the iPad?
The second thing that I don't understand is the mismatch of files shown in the adobe creative cloud and on acrobat.com when using the acrobat reader. 2 of the files I uploaded can be seen in both the adobe creative cloud and in the 'acrobat.com' cloud (is that a different thing?) as can be accessed from adobe reader on Mac OS. However, there are also files that can be accessed exclusively from the adobe creative cloud and files that can be accessed exclusively from the 'acrobat.com' cloud. I don't really understand the difference and how to sync the two.
    Help is highly appreciated. Thanks!

    AnAppleADay,
I personally agree that having two separate Adobe cloud storage services (Acrobat.com and Creative Cloud) is confusing and undesirable.  However, I am not able to speculate on Adobe products or services in future releases.
There is no direct way to download files on Acrobat.com to your iPad/iPhone.  However, you can download files from Acrobat.com via the web browser interface (https://cloud.acrobat.com/files) on your Windows or Mac desktop/laptop computer.
Then you can (a) email them to yourself and open them in Adobe Reader on your iPad, which results in storing the files locally on your iPad, or (b) use the desktop version of iTunes to transfer the files from your computer to your iPad.  (It's convoluted.  But I am not aware of any other options.)  However, if you uninstall Adobe Reader for iOS, the operating system will erase all of associated application data including locally stored PDF documents.
I suspect that your problem is related to changes not being saved to Acrobat.com properly (not about syncing to an older version).  When you make a lot of changes to a PDF document (e.g adding annotations or filling out forms), I'd recommend closing the modified PDF document occasionally, which forces Adobe Reader to save the changes to Acrobat.com.  You will have less chance of losing changes due to unexpected problems or defects in Adobe Reader.
Please let us know if you know the steps to reproduce the problem (of losing changes) with a particular file on Acrobat.com.  We can investigate the problem.
    Thank you.

  • Can I use more than one version of Adobe Reader on an iPad, 8.1 touch and 11.1

Can I use more than one version of Adobe Reader on an iPad  adobe Reader Touch and Reader 11.1 .  .  I use Acrobat XI Pro although I had some old files that were stored on adobe.com from a prior version of acrobat 9 student edition.
I guess the same question for my Surface Pro2 Computer might apply, although I gather from what I read that you shouldn't have two versions of reader on a computer.

If I may add a qualification: on a device running full Windows 8, you may have both Adobe Reader Touch and Adobe Reader (normal desktop edition). This does not apply to the primitive devices which cannot run desktop apps (running "Windows RT"), and while I may be wrong, I believe that the Surface 2 is such a device.

  • How do I save PDF documents in Adobe Reader on my iPad?

I add files to my Adobe Reader on my iPad from Acrobat.com. They show up as recent and they disappear after a while.  Contrary to what I was told on this site earlier (items don't disappear in recents unless it is to full), my documents/files do disappear.  I was working on a document earlier and now 3 hours later ii's gone. I don't always have access to wireless enternet when I need to open the documents.  Also, when I download (or what ever it's called when you open them up on an iPad), the notes and highlights that I did on the document have disappeared.

I apologize for misunderstanding your comment. It's easy to misunderstand what we read here and often I find that if I just ask more questions people are frustrated so I erred on the side of providing information rather than witholding it and asking more questions. If you are frustrated I apologize, but being abusive doesn't help any of us =). Everyone in these forums who is trying to help is a volunteer. I happen to be paid by Adobe to build the Reader but I volunteer in the forums during my lunch hour or extending my day to answer questions. I'm doing my best.
My understanding of our cache is limited, but it looks to me like our current Acrobat.com cache is 100 megabytes. We will start pushing files out of the cache from the least recently used forward until the cache size is less than 100MB. We don't currently have a way to explicitly mark Acrobat.com files to be saved locally. One way to achieve this would be to open the file from Adobe Reader into another app and then open it again in Adobe Reader which will place it in your Documents. Alternatively, you can use iTunes to add the files to your Documents from your Desktop after downloading them from Acrobat.com. I recognize that this is a little strange and will result in 2 copies of the document (one in the Acrobat.com cache and one in Documents) but I wanted to provide the option. I've emailed another engineer to verify my understanding of the cache and to see if she can provide a better workaround.
