How to use .ai brushes in Photoshop cs6? (Don't own Illustrator)

I just purchased Kyle T Webster's "Ultimate Megapack for Photoshop CS5 and up". But once I bought it and downloaded it, I realized the files were not .abr but rather .ai. Is there any way to convert or import them into photoshop? I do not own Illustrator and have tried google searching solutions, but with no success. Please help, I'm dead in the water here. Thanks

If they're .ai brushes and not .abr I'm afraid he must be =( perhaps he was thinking Photoshop but meant to write Illustrator. Definitely worth trying to let him know, see if you can't get your money back.

You can load the textures that you want with texturizer. Under Filter> Filter Gallery> Texture> Texurizer.
Beside the texture drop down, click Load texture to use your own files (has to be .psd files)

Place the *.abr files into:
Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop X\Presets\Brushes where X is the version number for your version of Photoshop.
Brushes created in Photoshop 7 or later will not work in earlier versions of Photoshop. Any Photoshop brushes should work in Photoshop 7 and later.
From the Brushes Palette in Photoshop, click the small arrow in the upper right corner of the palette, and choose load brushes. The brushes will be added to the current brushes.

1. when I would like to increase or decrease brush size , I can't use short cut . I will change brush size via right click.
2. Can't use "x" short cut for change foreground colour.
3. when I have used brush in quick mask mode sometime it get stuck and delay when I try to drag brush.

I imagine you already found out how to unlock brushes, but I'll share what worked for me. I had the same issue while trying to create a new brush shape and then edit it. After some poking around I tried selecting the "Brush Tool" icon on the menu to the left side of my work area before trying to edit my brush shape. After selecting the "Brush" icon, the "Brush" and "Brush Presets" became active and the brushes were able to be locked or unlocked. Also, I don't think you are impolite .

How to go back to using my paid for photoshop CS6 after trial version of CS6 extended?

I have no idea how my copy of CS6 became a trial version of extended but now the extended trial is done and it will not allow me to access my original photoshop CS6. What to do?

I figured it out. If anyone has this issue just enter your original code from your photoshop CS6 in the trial code box and adobe will switch back to original photoshop its that easy.

I can no longer use 3D commands in Photoshop CS6 Extended

I have Photoshop CS6 Extended (Ver 13.0.1x64). My desktop is Windows 7 64 Home premium; and Video card is: AMD Radeon HD 5570. The drivers and operating system is updated.
I have been using simple 3D functions like "New 3D extrusion from..." from time to time without any problems until recently. For unknown reasons now when I try to invoke any 3D command, I get the following message: " Could not complete the "New 3D extrusion from selected layer command because of a program error." This ,message gets repeated for any 3D command.
I checked out 3D functionality in Photoshop CS6 32 bit; and Photoshop CS5.5 Extended. Same problem. However, I can access and use all 3D functions in Illustrator CS6. Clearly, therefore, the video card is not the problem. It looks like one of the recent software updates from Adobe must have caused this problem.

1. Siri must be turned on (Settings > General > Siri)
2. You must be connected to the internet.

Problem using LR4.1 and Photoshop CS6

Using the "Edit In" option to open an image from LR 4.1 in Photoshop CS6 where it will have the "Oil Paint" filter applied. The resulting image when saved does not show up in the LR 4.1 collection from which the original came. The file itself is save to the disk but unlike other times when the "Edit In" feature has been used the resultant image is not made part of the Collection. Has anyone else seen this problem?

That is all merely a question, of how exactly you are viewing the image library at this given moment, and of what attributes and properties the various image versions have, which are relevant to that. The original and the edited versions filter, select, sort, have membership in Collections, etc independently.
For the Photoshop edited version to be placed automtically back into a collection the user must first have sent the original to Photoshop from within that collection. Sending it to Photoshop from within a folder means that edited version it will not be placed into a collection, irrespective of whether the original was in one or not.

What is the best way to sharpen using both Lightroom_4 and Photoshop CS6?

I want to learn the best way to sharpen various subjects. I have Martin Evening's latest Lightroom 4 and Photoshop CS6 books, but no mention of which methods are better, or better for which subjects/conditions. It seems that Camera Raw and Lightroom are the same, so I'm tempted to just do it all in Lightroom with the Develop module Detail panel, and the adjustment brush for local sharpening. But can I be doing more with Photoshop CS6, or Lightroom and Photoshop together?

Lightroom and Photoshop have different capabilities. Photoshop power lies in layers so sharpening in Photoshop is best done using a sharpening layer which can be blended and masked into layers below. Lightroom is more a image developer then and editor and does not have layer support. Both Lightroom and Photoshop use Adobe RAW conversion engine to develop images. Adobe RAW Conversion Engine has very good sharpening and noise reduction capabilities. Sharpening and Noise reduction is more or less a balancing act to much sharpening enhances noise to much noise reducing loose details and add softness. Though both Photoshop and Lightroom use the same Adobe RAW conversion engine they use different user interfaces when they use Adobe RAW conversion engine. Lightroom also lacks Layer support.

How to fix Issues with Citrix photoshop cs6?

Good day people from Adobe.
My university (ITESM) is using the Citrix plataform to stream to all of us students adobe's photoshop cs6 suite. However I am having issues with it becuase:
1.-it isn't allowing me to upload new brushes (.abr)
2.-nor it detects pressure sensitivity from my tablet.
My other native mac programs like Gimp can detect the pressure sensitivity so it isn't an issue of my MAC
Is this a problem with the my university's software? Should I contact them? or is it an issue with their version of photoshop?

Yes, your university probably shouldn't be running Photoshop over Citrix.
Citrix is not native, and won't be able to handle pressure or many other system specific options.
I doubt that Photoshop can work correcly over Citrix (due to the limitations of it's virtual and streaming architecture), and the performance will not be very good even if you try.

How to make animated blood in Photoshop CS6?

I am wondering how I can make animated blood using Photoshop CS6. I have looked for tutorials and can't find anything. I want to make a render look like it's crying blood, so the blood would be running down the cheeks and dripping off the chin. Please help!

There isn't going to be really an automated way of doing this. Animation in Photoshop is very simple. You can basically animate just position and scale (also Layer Effects, but that generally isn't as helpful). You could, of course, hand animate this by drawing each individual frame like traditional animation. Each frame of animation would be a separate layer and you could animate the layer visibility. Or you could draw the last frame of blood flow on one layer and animate a mask that slowly reveals the blood trail.
