How to use and load Plug-ins

I would appreciate help loading and using plugins for my copy of Acrobat 9 Standard. The plugins are in the folder Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat 9.0\Acrobat\plug_ins on my machine. How do I use/load them?

The plugins don't appear to be loaded when I start the program. The "about adobe plugins" optoin in the "help" menu indicates the plugins are not loaded and when I "generate a system report..." from within the "onlline support..." option in the "help" menu none of the plugins are loaded. What am I doing wrong here?

I was opening Illustrator in CS4 design standard. Odd too, because the error comes up with it showing missing plugins from Photoshop. I opened Photoshop first, then Illustrator to see if it changed anything. Yes, One of the two error messages for a plugin was gone.
To remove apps I went to the Adobe website to redownload my standard CS4 and chose "uninstall".. So I did. Restarts x 2 . Then Reopening illustrator...same thing again. Restarted, then went to Disky Utlity and cleaned up something off of it as per a internet suggestion...Sorry, it's been a long day alreay. Not me removing anything, just allowing it to do that with repairing.
The version of Mac OS is YOSEMITE 10.10.2 .
I recently updated!!! oooh nooooo! (every watch Mr. Bill on SNL?) so if the updated OS is the culprit, do I have to go back to older version for my apps to work? I never realized how very much I use Illustrator. I know there are extensions I could go through one at a time....seriously I am overwhelmed with some life events that make this computer dilema almost too much of a challenge for me at this time..I am truly grateful for your help. How do I get the Apple tv to play out of my Bose speakers that has the typical white and red plug ins? Do I need an "optical audio" cord (that is what is available as a plug in on the back of the Apple tv that has the red and the white on the other side?

How do I get my speakers to play the Apple TV? My TV is recognizing the Apple TV and the sound is playing out of the TV speakers, but even though I plug my speakers into my TV, it does not play what the TV speakers are playing. Do I have to plg the speakers into the actual Apple TV unit? If so, do I need an "optical audio" plug in?

appletv play audio out of optical out of hdmi and the old alu one play out the RCA too
the typical the white and red plug ins would be RCA if you have a atv2 (the black one) you cant use
RCA as that is analog and optical and hdmi are digital
you can get converters but some would be pricy and could cause delay between image and pictures for video

Thanks leonie...I would much rather pay the $$ for Aperture than use the free Photos program- it's a shame that Aperture development has ceased...not in love at all with Photos yet...maybe in time...

How to really install GEF, EMF and VE plug-ins in Eclipse manually?

If someone works with Eclipse, please, help me.
I want to install the Visual Editor for Eclipse (VE) manually, not by the Eclipse Update Manager. But before I do that I know I have to install GEF and EMF. So, I downloaded the versions that are compatible with my version of Eclipse (Eclipse 3.1RC1). The versions are (according to the VE site - www.eclipse.org/ve):
EMF build I200506091102
GEF Build 3.1RC1
VE 1.1M2
In my computer the Eclipse is in Program files\eclipse. So, I extracted the GEF zip file in Program files as the documentation says, looked at the directory and the files were really extracted to there. So, I opened Eclipse and checked in Plug-in Details if it was installed, but it wasn't. I did the same with EMF and I got nothing too.
What am I doing wrong? How can I install these plug-ins manually?
If someone can help me, I would appreciate a lot.

If eclipse itself is stored in /foo/eclipse, the plugins need to be extracted and
installed in /foo/eclipse/plugins. Then start (using a shell/command line
interpreter) eclipse as follows: "eclipse -clean". This flag forces eclipse
to (re)check what plugins are installed.

Contact the makers of your third party plugins and see if they have updates that work correctly with Photoshop CC 2014.
Also, make sure you ran the installers for the plugins instead of just copying them, since you may be missing necessary support files for the plugins.

Using 32-bit Plug-ins with jBridgeM and Metaplugin -- crash?

I just switched from MainStage 2 to 3.1.1 because 2 kept crashing.
Since I use a couple of 32-bit plug-ins (VB3 and Dune), I had to get jBridgeM and Metaplugin.
Now I can crash MainStage in no time at all.
Does anyone have (positive) experience with using 32-bit plug-ins (or VSTs) with "wrappers" in MainStage 3?
Are people complaining LOUDLY to Apple about removal of the support for 32-bit components (and VSTs in the first place) in their "professional" music apps.

To add to the above note, the tools I found are:
     jBridgeM - wraps 32-bit VSTs for 64-bit hosts
     VSTAU Manager - wraps VSTs as AUs
     Metaplugin - lets you plug VSTs into an AU host
Unfortunately, the workflow doesn't produce working plug-ins, and there's no 32-to-64-bit wrapper for AUs.
Does anyone else have this issue?
Are the other wrappers (e.g., FXpansion's) any more reliable?

Ah, yes- that is an ultra high DPI (dots per inch) display. This is a known issue in Flash Player, which Adobe is working on fixing.
In the mean time, you can get some videos to have normal-sized controls by switching Youtube to the HTML5 video player:

Are you using the latest version of Silverkeeper? - v.2.0.2 is stated to be compatible with Snow Leopard.

Safari - Flash and Silverlight Plug-ins NOT working

There's no Auval or RA or Garritan Personal Orchestra in the Audio Units Manager in Logic Pro. Though Stylus RMX that I also use and Kontakt Player 2 are there and successfully validated. The RA and Kontakt Player component are exactly in the place you said they would be.
I've since discovered that RA does not in fact work in Logic Express. As for whether it's loading up in Rosetta or PPC version - how do I tell that?
I really appreciate your help but I'm still stuck at square 1. Any more suggestions?!!

Loading plug ins

i am wondering how u load plug ins into logic pro, when i download the plug in it doesnt open so i want to know how to open it and also how to load it in to logic, thanks

There are VST to AU wrappers that will allow you to use VST plugins in Logic; I have never used them though so have no idea how reliable they are. I know FXpansion makes one. Do a search for " VST to AU wrapper" and see what you find. Others here may have used them and be able to comment.

Error loading plug-ins

I just installed a trial version of CS5.5 and I am getting an error message when loading Illustrator. It tells me Error loading plug-ins DxfDwg.aip PNGFileFormat.aip. I have two user accounts and this only happens under the user account that I use all the time. Under the other user account, I don't get this error and everything appears to work fine. The other strange thing is that I get this error every other time I start up the program. When I don't get this Error message, after the program is done loading I get a message that says Some plug-ins have been updated. You will need to relaunch Illustrator for the changes to take effect. Of course when I relaunch I get the Error loading plug-ins. I have run the program as adminsitrator, I have uninstalled and reinstalled, I have checked the security preferences, etc. Anyone have any ideas on this? Thanks!

There is solution to this problem on th Adobe site do a search either by google or for the adobe site not a search of the forum and you should find it.

I have noticed that when I open a project that uses Komplete 7 Elements, a 32-bit bridge utility loads and an error message indicating that the file could not be opened pops up. However, the file project does open. My question is this: Does using 32-bit plug-ins affect performance when Logic runs in 64-bit mode?

I'm Installing FCP on a new Intelmac. Several users/editors will use the computer in the editsuite.
how can you install your FCP plugins so that they only load if your loggin with your useraccount.
in other words how to NOT share your plug-ins with other useraccounts.... ?
