How to use bullet number characters in a list?

As you can see in the screenshot above, I'm using bullet characters (from Wingdings) to create a numbered list. It may look fine; however, inserting these characters manually can't be the most efficient way to pull this off. The character after the fourth bullet is an “indent to here” character.
Can this style of bullets be automated using a real bulleted list in InDesign?

Okay, I found one: Fyra. This works fine for lists up to nine bullets.
On MyFonts.com I found more similar fonts, and they're set up like this:
The numbers 1-0 reside on the standard keys. Two digit numbers 01-99 can
be composed out of left and right half circles by using (lowercase)
‘abcdefghij’ for the first digit (left half circle) and ‘lmnopqrstu’ for
the second digit (right half circle). The critical pairs (all combinations with 1) can be found in various
places. Type ‘!’ for 10, ‘#’ for 11, '$‘ 12, ’%‘ for 13, ’&‘ for 14,
’(‘ for 15, ’)‘ for 16, ’*‘ for 17, ’+‘ for 18, ’,‘ for 19, ’-‘ for 21,
’.‘ for 31, ’/‘ for 41, ’:‘ for 51, ’;‘ for 61, ’?' for 81, ‘_’ for 91.
For manual insertion, that works fine. It seems impossible to automate, though.
However you achieve the result manually, I don't think that lists will number automatically, because these are graphics, not true numbers.
A Google search for "circled number fonts" without quotes returned a lot of links, but none seems to have great confidence. Perhaps other search terms will find the magic "bullet" you are looking for.
You can ease the pain a bit by creating a set of the numbers you need and storing them in an InDesign library or simply a standard InDesign file, then copy and paste when you need them.

  • IMessage on MacBook Pro - how to use mobile number?

    So I upgraded to 10.8.2 on ML and IOS 6 on other devices. I notice on the iPhone that my iMessages can be received by default only to the mobile number.
    I previously turned iMessage off because frankly it was a complete PITA and more trouble than it was worth.  The mess created for recipients with messages coming from apple IDs when sent from the iPad and from a mobile number on the phone, then messages sent from one not showing on the other, replies not going from one device becase there was no internet available but the message had come to the apple ID and not the phone number etc etc.  The woes went on.  iMessage thus went off.
    Now, the ability to use the phone number as the default across decvices did sound appealing and I THOUGHT that when I activated imessage on the Mac and iPad it would automatically show up with the option to use the mobile number on those devices.  Instead I just get the email option and can see phone number at all.
    Am I correct in assuming that I need to add the Apple ID so messages can be sent there BUT configure it somehow so that iMessages going out from those devices are sent as coming from my mobile and not an email address?  last thing I want is the dog's breakfast that the last incarnation of iMessage brought and I would hope this time around that "It just works".  I'm gettng more and more used to having to probe around with Apple though, to find ways to make it work.

    Finally got this to work, coincidence or not i'm not sure, maybe the system was just catching up.  On the iPhone I ONLY had the telephone number enabled.  I then added the Apple ID and all the test messages arrived, as did the mobile number verify message.  I then went and turned the Apple ID email off as a 'receive at' source.  After that the mobile number was verified on the Macbook and was available to add as an iPad 'email address'.

  • How to use partial number of PPMs to generate SNP planned order

    Hi all,
    I have a requirement for SNP where I have got X number of identical work centers, on which an SKU can be manufactured. Now there are limitations at the operational level on the labour force or any other constraints, due to which only Y number of work centers can be operational on any day (X>Y). So effectively an SKU can use only Y number of PPMs out of X PPMs in the system on any particular day. X and Y are fixed.
    I have tried to map the same by creating a bucket resource with bucket capacity Y and attached to all X PPMs and taken SNP optimizer run. It restricts the output quantity of the planned order by that of the bucket resource defined.
    Is there a way to map this requirement, i.e. restricting the number of PPMs which the SKU can use on any day?
    regards,
    biplab

    Hi,
    You can try this by defining the down time for the particular resource in APO under downtime tab page.
    Ex for a entire week.
    I tried by locking the resource for the entire week and also removed the Maximum delay specified in the product master in our case.
    Took the opt run and system is not suggesting the plans.
    Or
    You can make the PPM inactive before your run.
    Request you to test and confirm this
    Thanks,
    nandha

  • Has someone knowlege of how to use Custom Number Format in Numbers V3.0

    Hello Everyone,
    From Excel to Numbers '09 I worked with Custom Number Format.
    Making formats like 60 sec, km/h or m/s².
    In the new Version 3.0 it is not under 'Format'/Custom Number Format.
    I did not find it! Has someone found a way to do it the old way.
    I am working with the German version.
    Bye

    Limmy,
    There is no option in Numbers 3.0 for Custom Format. If that is mandatory for your purposes, it is still available in Version 2.3.

  • How to use value in a drop-down list box as "With these Values" parameter?

    Hello, new user.
    I have a drop-down list box on Page 1, upon which the user can choose a study number. The List Box is named "P1_STUDY_NBR".
    Then I have a list, one entry of which goes to my master-detail form, which is Page 6. I would like it to go to the study number that the user choose on Page 1.
    In my target on the create/edit list entry, I put in "Page in this Application", "Page 6", then in Set these items, I put in
    P6_STUDY_NBR
    My question is what to use in With these values, where I want the contents of the P1_STUDY_NBR. I tried:
    &P1_STUDY_NBR
    and that does not work. If I put in one of the study numbers, like 336-00, then it does work, but I want it to pass the study number the user chooses in the list box. How do I refer to the contents of P1_STUDY_NBR?
    -Mary

    Yes, that does work, thanks. I'm now getting the default value I was putting in yesterday rather than an error message, so there must be something loading it, but I'll hunt around for what process might be doing that, or try re-creating the master-detail form again.

    I am getting error like this,
    The requested resource (/project/) is not available.
    How to resolve this,
    Thanks,
    Vinutha

    This might help:
    http://forum.java.sun.com/thread.jspa?threadID=696586
    As well, you might have to change the servlet-mapping in your web.xml. The url-pattern, I think, needs to be .xhtml. Your login.jsf file in the welcome list will need to be renamed to login.xhtml.

  • How to set the number of contents in list area of t:selectOneMenu

    Hi all
    Can any one plz suggest me how to fix size of number listed elements in <h:selectOneMenu> or <t:selectOneMenu>.
    I want to set this size to 10 so that i can control dropdown list size, which appeared quite long and shadows large screen area as well.
    Having list size as 10 can make other elements scrollable through scroll bar of the list.

    Can you match this result with this result
    javax.servlet.ServletException: /jsp/admin/SubTopic.jsp(89,8) Attribute size invalid for tag selectManyMenu according to TLD

  • Parameter Form-How to use a user parameter to retrieve list of values for another par

    I am developing a report in Reports 6i. There are 2 parameters on parameter form namely year and month.
    LOV for Year is retrieved from database. After user selects a value from LOV for year, I want to retrieve another LOV for month parameter based on selected year. That is how can we use a user parameter's value to dynamically retrieve an LOV for another parameter on the same parameter form.
    Pl. guide.
    Thanks in anticipation.

    You can't restrict the "List of Values" of one parameter based on the value of another parameter within the Reports Builder/Runtime parameter form.
    The SQL select statements within LOV's are only executed once. They aren't re-calculated when you enter, leave or change other field values in the parameter form. This is mainly because there is no event model in the Reports parameter form and it only supports basic form functionality.
    To do what you're after in a client-server environment you need to create an Oracle Forms "parameter form" and use that to execute the Report using the run_product() call. Actually, you should probably use Oracle Forms for any more generic "form" functionality such as radio buttons or check boxes.
    If you're in a Web rather than Client-Server environment, it may be easier to create a JSP based parameter form. You can then use Reports 9i since it has JSP support to assist here.

  • How to use the BADI CRM_MKTLIST_BADI in External List Management?

    Hi Experts,
    I am using ELM tool to upload new accounts from an excel file. I need to do some coding before the BPs get created into CRM. This coding is for mapping some fields & doing a few validation checks. We have a BADI CRM_MKTLIST_BADI for this. But when I try to stop that BADI by putting breakpoints, it doesnot stop. I have assigned the required filter for my implementation of the BADI too. But somehow the breakpoint doesnot work & the control never stops in the BADI implementation. Could the experts out there please help me out in this as this is really urgent...
    Points will be rewarded generously for helpful answers...
    Thanks & Regards,
    Sangeeta.

    Hi Sangeeta,
    Set the user parameter CRM_DEBUG_CODE to "MKLIST" for your user in SU3. Put a break-point in the BADI method.
    This will call the debugger once the BADI is triggered.

    you cant do it with aliases and we have a bug logged on that. however, you can use the full tablename followed by a . and then the insight list will be populated. ctrl-Space will do completion too

  • How to use wwv_flow.g_inline_validation_error_cnt?

    well,
    I stucked... Somebody could post some sample code illustrating how to use g_inline_validation_error_cnt (number of validations errors).
    thx,
    cyryl

    Hi,
    I've actually just had to use this very thing myself!
    I have a page with lots of validation. Due to the design of the page, the user can show/hide regions based on what button they click. However, I want them to return to the region that contains the fields that the validation is for so that they can complete the fields properly. The region selection is done by updating a javascript field and I need to reset this if there are validation errors.
    What I have done is create a Page Level validation using a "Function Returning Error Text. The sequence number has been set to 999 to ensure that it is last. The code is:
    {code}
    DECLARE
    vERRORS NUMBER;
    BEGIN
    SELECT wwv_flow.g_inline_validation_error_cnt INTO vERRORS FROM DUAL;
    IF vERRORS > 0 THEN
    :P84_REGION := 1;
    END IF;
    RETURN NULL;
    END;
    {code}
    I return NULL to ensure that this doesn't trigger its own validation error. In this case, P84_REGION 1 is where the required fields are. If the user attempts to move to region 2, without completing the fields, this resets it back to region 1.
