How to use cache on Proxy service in OSB

Hi all,
I need to use cache on proxy service. I am new to OSB, I have searched for this on net but unable to find.
Please come up with some docs or links going through which I can achieve this.
Thanks,
Phani.

i assume you already checked the result caching feature which can be used on the business service?

    Thanks

    you can use the validate activity in osb to validate the input message

  • How to use a deployable proxy to consume a web service?

    HI Gurus,
    I am following this article below which helpfully explains how to create a proxy. So far so good. I have been able to create a proxy. However, the article only describes how to build a proxy.
    https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/70c7d0f7-153d-2a10-5d96-d334b67cd771
    In the concluding part of the document the author says "In my next article I will tell you how to use this deployable proxy to consume the web service in web application."
    I have looked around the SDN but have not been able to get the next part of this document.
    I have a JSPDynpage application which is required to consume a webservice. I want to use this proxt to consume the webservice.
    Any help or any other document that explains how to use a deployable proxy to consume a web service will be helpful.
    Thanks,

  • How to retrieve the java object in a proxy service in osb -- Plz help

    Hi all,
    I have a singleton java class which runs whenever the weblogic server gets started and store the output in its object. I need to access this java object from a proxy service in osb.
    We tried using java call out and retrieved that object but we couldn't know how to parse that object into XML.
    We are not sure of using the java call out in osb to solve this purpose because whenever we use a java callout, that particular java code will run which is not the case of singleton class.
    So kindly help us how to retrieve the java object which holds the output without running the java code every time because its already run and holding the output in its object.
    Regards
    Prabhu

    here the doc http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E13159_01/osb/docs10gr3/userguide/context.html#wp1106656
    but I guess you are already at the stage of getting a POJO in a first Java Callout and passing the POJO to a second Java Callout, which should then return it to OSB as a XMLObject.
    My recommendation is to write a Java function which returns a XMLObject and uses a XMLCursor to populate it with the values of the POJO.
    An XMLObject returned to the OSB is automatically transformed in a "XML" variable (which in reality is represented as a XMLObject in the Pipeline context)
    Here some code sample:

  • OSB example calling multiple business services using a single proxy service???

    Hi,
    I have three business services created using http urls i.e.
    1. LoginBS
    2. GetListBS
    3. LogoutBS
    My requirement is to get a list of names from GetListBS using a single proxy service and to call GetListBS I have to first call LoginBS then GetListBS i.e. after authentication and then finally logout.
    Kindly help with a detailed example for this and I am new to OSB.
    Thanks,
    Vik

    Hi Eric,
    Thanks for the response. We figured that it is possible to call multiple services with Split Join. However, we ran into the issue you described. We had a blocking call and had to wait until each of the services returned a response.
    However, we needed a Async model for our design and felt that this might not be a right fit.
    We are now looking at implementing the publish option with QoS configured as this fits our usecase better. Thanks for the help again.

    Hello;
    So in the example below replace "ernie" with the alias you want the client to use.
    I can show you how I do it :
    First an entry need to be added to the client tnsnames.ora that uses a SERVICE_NAME instead of a SID.
    ernie =
    (DESCRIPTION =
        (ADDRESS_LIST =
           (ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP)(HOST = Primary.host)(PORT = 1521))
           (ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP)(HOST = Standby.host)(PORT = 1521))
           (CONNECT_DATA =
           (SERVICE_NAME = ernie)
    )Next the service 'ernie' needs to be created manually on the primary database.
    BEGIN
       DBMS_SERVICE.CREATE_SERVICE('ernie','ernie');
    END;
    /After creating the service needs to be manually started.
    BEGIN
       DBMS_SERVICE.START_SERVICE('ernie');
    END;
    /Several of the default parameters can now be set for 'ernie'.
    BEGIN
       DBMS_SERVICE.MODIFY_SERVICE
       ('ernie',
       FAILOVER_METHOD => 'BASIC',
       FAILOVER_TYPE => 'SELECT',
       FAILOVER_RETRIES => 200,
       FAILOVER_DELAY => 1);
    END;
    /Finally a database STARTUP trigger should be created to ensures that this service is only offered if the database is primary.
    CREATE TRIGGER CHECK_ERNIE_START AFTER STARTUP ON DATABASE
    DECLARE
    V_ROLE VARCHAR(30);
    BEGIN
    SELECT DATABASE_ROLE INTO V_ROLE FROM V$DATABASE;
    IF V_ROLE = 'PRIMARY' THEN
    DBMS_SERVICE.START_SERVICE('ernie');
    ELSE
    DBMS_SERVICE.STOP_SERVICE('ernie');
    END IF;
    END;
    /lsnrctl status - should show the new service.
    When I do this the Database will still register with the listener. I don't give that to the clients. That one will still be available but nobody knows about it. Meanwhile "ernie" moves with the database role.
    So in my example the default just hangs out in the background.

  • What is the use of creating proxy services using WSDL.

    Hi
    Am a beginner in ALSB and i have a basic question. Business services are created using WSDL,thats sounds logical as we need to invoke the actual backend services .
    Proxy services are connected to business services and what is the need that it can be e created using WSDL.
    What is the use of creating proxy services using WSDL.

    Hi,
    I beleive you are confused because of the apparent inclusion of transport information in WSDL (that is the host:port/endpoint where the service is hosted). However, if you refer to the w3c specification of WSDL1.0 ([url http://www.w3.org/TR/wsdl]www.w3.org/TR/wsdl), you will find that WSDL has three separate sections:
    1. The schema information that describes data element(s): specified in types
    2. The message information ie message and port sections that specify the parameters and the operations
    3. The service section that specify the actual protocol and endpoint binding.
    Ideally, a WSDL can be broken down into these three separate components. Any WSDL containing the first two is called an abstract WSDL and is used for a top-down approcah for web services, and if the third part is used, then you get a concrete WSDL, containing invocation end-point also.
    Comming back to your question one can typically use an Abstract WSDL for creating proxy service. This way, the service requester and integration can go on two separate threads where the common denominator or agreement between these two parties in terms of operation name and data element are imposed using the WSDL.

  • Can anyone help me what is the use of business and proxy service in osb?

    Hi,
    I am new in Osb what is the use of business service and proxy service in osb.
    I know little bit proxy service is used for actual message flow. I saw some project proxy service invoking the (using service callout,routing and publish) service,but the wsdl of the services of the proxy and business service is same.
    Please can anyone explain the flow while executing through soapUI?(that means it will hit 1st business services or proxy service)
    I have this project structure
    business service
    1.reference.biz----> this is the wsdl of ex:reference.wsdl
    2.external.biz----> this is the wsdl of ex:external.wsdl
    proxy service
    1.referece.proxy--->this is the wsdl of ex:reference.wsdl(in this proxy we are routing to reference.biz proxy service both contains same wsdls why?)
    xqueries of request and response.
    Best Regards,
    Raju.

    Hi Raju,
    Proxy Service - It is the starting point of you OSB application which deal with receiving messages, inducing logic in it like transformation, if-else, replace, java call outs,etc. You can put in your program logic here and then invoke a business service to route it to your Database or to any other queue as per your requirement.
    Business Service - It is generally used for routing purposes, like inserting the input in your Database or sending it to a different queue or BPEL process, etc..

  • Comment out actions in side proxy services in osb

    Do any body know how to comment out certain actions in proxy service in OSB?
    For eg: I have assign, insert, assign, ..route....
    I want to comment out second assign but don't want to delete it, since i might need it later. Can I manipulate the generated code to comment?

    What I meant is that I tried it with a very simple pipeline, a pipeline with one stage and one action. I added the comment tags around that action and it "disappeared" from my pipeline. Later I removed the comment tags and my action was there again.
    But it could get complicated with a pipeline with many stages and actions (that's what I meant by complex). There could be dependencies between the actions (in one you create a variable that you use later in another action), etc.
    I assume you're working directly on the web console. The files are stored in your server's file system but I really advise you against modifying these files directly.
    With your installation of OSB you have an Eclipse (Workshop) with plug-ins for the OSB. You can export your project from the web console and import it into eclipse. You can work on eclipse and then publish your changes to the server.
    There in eclipse you have your files in your file system and you can open them in your favourite text/xml editor. Or inside eclipse you can just right click on the proxy service and choose "open with -> text editor".

  • OSB proxy service Calling OSB proxy service from BPEL

    Dear team,
    Wehave a requirement to call a Wsdl based OSB proxy service with sb protocol from SOA Composite from BPEL process.
    We created a wsdl based OSB proxyservice with sb protocol and deployed to OSB development server.
    We tried to export the wsdl and corresponding xsd files. sbconfig.jar got created.
    When we extracted the sbconfig file and placed the wsdl and xsd into the SOA composite.
    When we are trying to create a partnerlink, that OSB proxy service wsdl is not showing up.
    Please suggest.
    How to call OSB proxy service from BPEL..

    Hi,
    Here either you need to change the protocol from 'sb' to http or use the Direct Binding in soa-composite.

  • OWSM user name token service policy for a proxy service at OSB

    Hi Friends,
    I am facing an issue while trying for the OWSM user name token service policy Authentication for a proxy service at OSB. I am using the PS4 SOA suite with AIA foundation pack. very first I am login into the EM console and choose the domain<soaosb_domain> form web logic domain I moved to security->security provide configuration. Inside the security provide configuration we have to key store section and I expand that and we have a configure button inside the keys tore. I click that button and it open a new page. In that page I got the Java key store (JKS) as the default key store and in the access Attributes I keep the default key store path and fill password and confirm password fields. Then in Identity certificates I fill the signature key and Encryption key with key Alias as 'orakey' and same password which I am mentioned at access Attributes. I got the message like the key store is created successfully. Then I restarted the server and again I am login into the EM console and choose the domain<soaosb_domain> form web logic domain I moved to security. In security I choose the credentials. In credentials we have create key. In the create key I add the key as hari-key and provide the hari as a user and his password.
    While trying to test the proxy service i am getting the [OSB Security - OWSM: 387253] Failed to initialize OWSM Credential Manager. Please validate the Key store Configuration.
    can anyone please look at this and suggest me how can I proceed for this.
    Thanks

    anyone please respond to the above request.
