How to use Custom Tags for Theme and Base Map Definitions

In Mapviewer documentation I've found the following new feature:
The XML definition of a theme or base map now supports application-specific
attribute tags. You can use the Custom Tags option in the theme definition in Map
Builder to specify tags and their values, which can be interpreted by your application
but are ignored by MapViewer itself.
I'm able to define a custom tag in Mapbuilder, but how can I use it in my Application?

How to call and display the interface from a exe (residing on C: drive) on my JSP page. Our customers supplied us with an exe file and they want this to be incorporated on the JSP page that has other components also, like forms, etc. The interface of the program has to be displayed in specific co-ordinates on the JSP page. Can't be done with JSP.
JSP runs java on the SERVER only.
All that gets to client is an HTML page. So all that
you can do at the client is what an HTML page can do.
Obviously that doesn't include running a file on the
client machine.
Take a look into Applets, or maybe ActiveX controls.Thanks for the reply.

How to use customer exit variable in the report

Dear All,
i want to use a standard customer exit variable in the report properties.
In the Bex Query Designer right hand bottom you will find two buttons "Properties" and "Task". Click on task you will get different option. Choose properties from there and then select "variable sequence tab".
I need to add a standard variable there. How can i achieve it?
Appreciate your early help.

You need to add variable to corresponding charctertic then you can get that varaible for sorting the sequence....
If 0CUST is the varaible then you need to assign it 0CUSTOMER then 0CUST will be available for the sequence.

How to display custom names for attributes in JSP pages

I would like to use custom names for my attributes in Struts JSP table headers.
For example, if the database table named "Country" has a column CNT_ID and BC4J wizard mapped it into an Entity Object's attribute "CntId" I would like to display it as "Country ID" in my JSP table header.
Now, I suppose the place to try this is probably in DataEditComponent.jsp, DataQueryComponent.jsp etc., and probably has smthg to do with jbo:AttributeIterate, but I still can't figure how to achieve this...

It's not clear from your posting whether you've worked out how to do what you want with control hints, so just in case, here's how:
- In the navigator, select your entity object or your view object
- In the structure pane, double-click the attribute you want to edit (CntId)
- In the attribute editor, select the control hints page
- In the Label Text field, type the text you want to use for your label (Country). Click OK.

In custom tag, trying to include JSP Page, not processing tags

Now I have this in the correct forum!
I am in a custom tag where one of my attributes (myIncludePage) is the name of another JSP file that I want to include. So, in my custom tag doStartTag() I have:
out.println("<td>");
pageContext.include(myIncludePage);
out.println("</td>");
The included page is rendered with the custom tags in it not processed (I see my tags in the generated HTML)
How do I get the included page to be "processed"?

I'm using JSP presentation too. In "Interactive Component Call" active i'm using "Use JSP presentation", but i only can define one instance variable, i need to add more instance variables. In "Advanced" option of this task, i have the argument mapping .. but i don't understand how to use it.
I have a instance variable called "genders" of the type String[Int] (Associative Array) and i'm mapping this instance variable in "Arguments Show In" option of the advanced option of JSP presentation. In JSP presentation i have the code:

How to use a session, created in a jsp page, in a php page

Hello, forgive me for the newbie question.
Here is my problem:
I want to have a jsp page create a session, set some session variables and then redirect to a php page which will access those same session variables.
I have the redirection worked out, but I can't seem to find out how to use the jsp session in my php script.
Is this possible at all, and if so, how does it work?

Note that javascript runs on the client side, and JSP runs on the server. JSP and the session objects are NOT available to javascript in reaction to the user.
If this function is called only when the page is first created, not when the user interacts with the page, or if you want that value to be constant with respect to the javascript, then you can do this:
