How to use dreamweaver files in jsp?

Hello All
I am developing jsp files in which i want to use macromedia dreamweaver files i.e flash button and flash text. I am building jsp files in JBulider. Can anyone tell me how to use or bring in these dreamweaver files in the JSP files? Will be greatful for any help given.

You should be able to just bring the files into DreamWeaver. It should edit the HTML part of the JSP just fine.

Now in jsp you can either use jsp:Usebean tag or use normal scriplets to create an instance of the nessary class...

%>however,i'd suggest you to make use of JSTL / Inbuilt tag libraries /MVC 2.0 approach for better maintainance & readablity.

I have a jsp page and a cab file which helps change printer settings.. I have embedded the activex control(cab file) as follows.. Is this ok?

well so far this is my code but don't know how to implement in the following ...

You have to either refer to the class in its fully quallified name, or import it into the JSP:
<%
some.full.packagename.RowSetDynaClass resultSet = new some.full.packagename.RowSetDynaClass(rs,false);
...-or-
<%@ page import="some.full.packagename.RowSetDynaClass" %>
<%
RowSetDynaClass resultSet = new RowSetDynaClass(rs, false);
...As long as the class has public visibility and you have re-started the server/servlet context since you added the JAR.

How to Use PHP Files and .tpl files

I have taken a course and it includes a resource section with templates that I can use. These templates are squeeze page ones and inside the folder are index.php, config.php and a whole lot of .tpl files that open up in empty Stickies on my Mac.
Can someone explain how to use these files. When I open them in Dreamweaver I see code related to the php files but I can't browse the index.php file in a browser to see what the so called sqeeze page looks like.

The //ip:port/sid connect string will only work with 10g clients.
Check your tnsnames.ora file. Does the file have control characters or missing carriage-return characters ? (Maybe you ftp'd the file from a unix box ?)
I would suggest that you create a new tnsnames.ora - hand edit it (don't copy the old one). If you have sqlplus client - try using it to connect to the remote DB first.
The instructions for connection to a local or remote DB are all the same (when using plain OCILogon) because the connection is made over TCP.

Include Directive vs <jsp:include>
The include directive <%@include %> is done at page translation/compile time.
It effectively pastes in a static file, and then compiles the JSP as if it was all one file.
As such, you cannot provide a runtime expression to it.
To do runtime inclusion, you need to use the <jsp:include> tag which does except runtime parameters.
<%String test = request.getParameter("pageInfo");%>
<%String link = test + ".jsp"; %>
<jsp:include page="<%= link %>" %>Unfortunately you can't use the tag with a bean:write tag as well, you can only use runtime expressions, not tag. So you have to do the include with
<jsp:include page="<%= HelloForm.getTarget() %>" />

I am a abap developer , recently we meet a problem on our webdynpro report performnace issue. As in the development, we use SALV_WD_TABLE to design a ALV. and verything work correctly in our DEV system.
But after when our QAS system, there are more records for the ALV, one of them has 21000 records. And in the layout, we have a column as checkbox.
If we click any one checkbox, then the layout will respond almost 1~2 minutes. With debug I found the most time cost in the standard program.
And with search I found that you have solution to solve it as 1,000,000 rows.
So is it possible to provide some idea or solution to us?

hi rachna,
JSP has a default(implicit) session object...... use the getSession(true) method on the session object and then going u can either get or set attributes depending on the requirement
That was in general and now with the issue u have got..... what u can do is that the u can create session for every user who logs in and when he/she tries to login again then u can probably check for the existing session object in the JSP and perform the logic as required..... any clarifications plzzzzzzz let me know

Can anybody Tell me that How to use SSL Technology in JSP ?
I am using Apache Tomcat 5.0.28 Server.
How to configure the Tomcat server so that it will access any web application supported by Tomcat via SSL ?

The JSP does not need to know that the request is coming over SSL. If the application must be over SSL, but the server also allows non-SSL communication, then, like I said, you need to build in a Filter that will check if the incoming request is an https or http request and redirect to the https url if the request was http. And you can do that using the method listed in the previous post. As far as setting up the SSL certificate for Tomcat to use, refer to the Tomcat Documentation that comes with the server. Other than those two things, you don't need to know anything else about SSL inorder to run an SSL application through a Tomcat server (or any other enterprise server either, for that matter), but do an internet search for SSL and maybe one or two other keywords that apply to your situation and you should find plenty that will help.

Select the JSP Templates link. Is the ADF Rich Faces Page template listed? Refer Creating the Login Page/4.
