If you add the fields using EEBW will reflect those changes in Portal environment.

By using the EEW, the newly created attributes will automatically be displayed in the People-Centric UI form view. With the personalization function, you can also integrate these fields into the result list view.

Is it possible to use EEWB in ANY transaction we wish to customize? We are planning to add custom fields in a Solution Manager transaction.

I guess it depends on what transaction you want to add the field to. If for example you want to use transaction CRMD_ORDER (for processing issues, messages etc.) then EEWB fields created for table CRMD_ORDERADM_H will automatically be added in this transaction in a special tab called "Customer fields" (or something like that anyway).

I am working on CRM 5.0 EEWB
I am trying to add new field in the business partner page I followed the steps for creating the project and the extension but I faced some problems
1-I chose the package BBP_BUPA_MAIN BBP Business Partner General
I created two transport requests for the workbench and the customizing
2- I created an extension with EEW Bus. Object: BUPA and extension type: ADD_NEW_FIELDS
3- I got an error that "Object DOMA ZBU_009XN27S is in the name range reserved for customers. The object cannot be assigned to package BBP_BUPA_MAIN, since it belongs to a different name range or namespace"
I tried to change the package but the same problem occurs and if I choose a custom made business package I get an error "Extension type BUPA - ADD_NEW_FIELDS cannot be combined with package Z###" but, before the wizard starts
I want to know the exact steps to create new field using the EEWB

Hi,
Error info: "Object DOMA ZBU_009XN27S is in the name range reserved for customers. The object cannot be assigned to package BBP_BUPA_MAIN, since it belongs to a different name range or namespace"
Clearly states that you need to assign some different name to the package which is not reserved by SAP as Z### is already reserved by SAP and thus you will not be able to create the enhancement in the same.

Need to add extra fields in Custom tab using EEWB.

I extended business partner with 10 custom fields using EEWB by creating an custom tab. I would like to add 2 more fields in the same custom tab . I am unable to find the provision to add new field to the existing project. so i am deleting the existing project and creating new project and adding all the =and new fields.
Now when I am creating new project i am loosing the old field names. It creating the new fields with new field names.
My requirement is I should create a new fields without changing the old field names.
So Please can any one help me as how to approach these without deletion or changing the existing field names.
Finally my custom tab should contain 12 fields.

I am using function module " BAPI_WARRANTYCLAIM_ADD_VERSION ".
It needs to copy all contents of previous version to a new version.
While doing so i am unable to copy fields like valic valoc etc. Any ways by which i can copy this values.
WTY will update PNWTYH , PNWTYV and PVWTY tables.

Additional Tab in CRMD_BUS2000126 using EEWB

Dear Experts,
I have successfully created an additional tab in Maintain Activities using EEWB. The fields display. I can write to them and read from them just fine. Now the user wants the new tab to display conditionally. In our case, the display of the tab should be based on values in the Business Transaction Type field (COMT_PARTNER_CONTROL-PROCESS_TYPE). Even if this field is not part of any relevant method signatures, I could pass it via memory if I new how and where to do so. We do have an implementation of COM_PARTNER_BADI where we interegate this field in method DETERMINATION_ADD_IN_1. Could I somehow leverage this?

i hope u want to display ur tab for a particular transaction type.
for that u can use the concept of transaction variant (the setting is available in spro Transactions>Basic Settings>User Interface Settings-->Assign Transaction Variants to Transaction Types).Using tansaction variant u can hide the tab for other transaction type.

This field has to be dropdown having two possible entries.
How can we make a field as dropdown using eewb workbench.Is there any option in the wizard?

Problem with SRM Business Partner enhancement using EEWB.

Hello Gurus,
I am doing Business Partner Enhancement using EEWB. basically adding new tab with few data fields. After using EEWB, the new tab hasbeen generated automatically and BP is creating successfully and data is stored in tables.
But in the custom tab, the fields are displaying in table format after using EEWB. User dont want in the table control, and they want normal screen fields.
How can we do that. After that, will it reflect to portal automatically or do we need to do any thing?

How can I show them in SRM7?
BBPMAININT has been replaced with an "equivalent" WebDynpro application and old Badis are not supported anymore.

Adding field using EEWB

When adding new fields to an activity using EEWB, is it possible to add a field with a drop-down for values? How can that be achieved?

Hi Alka,
Yes, it is possible to add drop down values. When you create a new extension through EEWB wizard, the screen would come up with a checkbox (from CRM 5. onwards) to create a value table. This value table would bring in the drop down entries.
For CRM 4.0 you can create a data element and asisgn a value table to the domain and that should assign drop down help.
One more option - the screen create via EEWB is in customer name range and you can change it using screen painter. You can assign any search help or drop down you want. Please note that these manual changes would be overwritten when you regerenrate the EEWB next.

i need to know to which tables are these fields added?
Also, please advise if the fields can be directly added using screen painter. If yes, how to find the program name and screen no. for a business activity.

Fields cannot be directly added using screen painter as this is a standard screen and there is no screen exit also available to do.
U need to add the fields using EEWB transaction.
Here you need to Provide the Object and Extension Type during enhancement.
These custom fields can then be seen in
table CRMD_CUSTOMER_H for header details and
table CRMD_CUSTOMER_I for Item details.
This will add an extra tab in transaction CRMD_ORDER for
the object enhanced using EEWB.
If you want to enhance the web view for the business object then you need to add these fields in the context node of the view getting enhanced and then mayp them to the view screen as well.

Generated Structure using EEWB

this is a bit urgent please help
i used EEWB and created some fields in the opportunity header data which resulted into two structures
1. ZCRMT_0100_BTX_UI01 used by SAP GUI
2. ZEEW_CUSTOMER_H01 used by PC-UI
the problem is in have to assign a check behind this field using a check table and i think is pretty simple just i have to assign foreign key relationship for this field in the structure but the short text for the structure created by EEWB is
ZCRMT_0100_BTX_UI01
EEW: Generated interface structure (do not process manually)
what does this do not process manually means is that i should not change anything in it
can you please how to do to make this have a check behind this field???

EEWB generates screen for the added fields. Why don't you use the PBO of the screen to validate the required field just like you do for the normal screen.

Problem while deleting the Project & Extension created using EEWB

Hi
I have created a Project and Extension to add a new field in Opportunity using EEWB however it got some errors and hence
wanted to delete this Extension and Project as well but while deleting the Extension system is throwing an error 'Extension XXX couldn't be deleted'.
Because of this we have been facing some issue in BW Extractions.
Could you please help me out how can we delete this ?

I need some information on EEWB (Easy Enhancement Workbench) Tool
and would like to know how to add custom fields in EEWB tool to extend the Business partner data?
Further, how to map the custom fileds from R/3 to SRM using the BADI BBP_GET_VMDATA_CF in an Extended Classic scenario?

The Easy Enhancement Workbench is a development environment with wizards, with which you can easily extend certain standard SAP business objects with user-defined data fields and tables. Customer Objects, such as database tables and screens, are created by a generator, and all customer exits are implemented. This functions system-wide, that is, when extending a CRM system you can also execute extensions in the connected SAP R/3 OLTP system.
Some examples of the functions generated for the Easy Enhancement Workbench:
1. DDIC extensions
- Application table
- Data elements and domains
- Check table for fields
- Search help
2. Interface (SAP GUI): screens, function modules, entries in BDT control tables
3. APIs for reading, changing, deleting
To access the Easy Enhancement Workbench, use transaction code eewb.
