Every functional consultant will have domain knowledge in the Manufacturing and he will be there in the Implementation .
As a Technical guy you have to develop the onjects as per his advise.

How to use a JCO connection pool in an EJB?

I want to build a WebService using SAP Web AS (J2EE Engine) that connects to a R/3 ERP (release 4.7).
I thought of building a stateless session bean that will be deployed as webservice. The session bean shall connect to the R/3 in order to call some BAPIs. I'd like to use a JCO connection pool. But I'm not sure, where I should create and destroy the connection pool. Are the EJB methods ejbCreate() and ejbRemove() the right ones? If so, my businness methods would just have to get a connection from the pool and call the BAPIs, right? If not, what do you suggest?
Another question: I already deployed a bean as webservice. Since not really knowing how to use the connection pool, I created a bean with one business method that creates a connection pool whenever it gets called. But if I have to change something in the bean so that I have to redeploy the bean I can't call my business method anymore, because JCO cannot load a native library once again, as it is already loaded, This leads to an exception. So I have to restart the complete engine everytime I redeploy my bean. Are there any workarounds for this problem? I'm not sure whether this is connected to the wrong use of the JCO connection pool.

I would like to know how to use Skype on my TV to ...

What I'm finding out in the millions of Skype users is that there isn't anyone (so far) that knows how to use the Skype (which is installed on my SMART TV) to make a phone call or video phone call. So, if there is anyone out there who knows how to use SKYPE on SMART TVs to make phone calls or video phone call - that would be great if you can help me. I have awebcam which is compatible with my TV and can be use with Skype. If anyone knows of classes where you can get training or online courses to help me learn how to use Skype that would be great. Use of Skype on a smart TV may vary from manufacturer to manufacturer. However the interface should be rather basic and easy to use. I don't see how a class would be really necessary. The process may even be covered in a startup guide provided with your TV.

How to use CrossReference and DVM in ODI &how to populate data into Xref

Can any one tell how to use Domain Value Maps and Cross Referencing in ODI?
DVM or Domain Value Map are created and used in ESB console of SOA suite.
My actual requirement is as follows:
The below steps describe loading data from ERP Application 1 to ERP Application 2.
1. The Source Application ERP APP1, populates the interface table using their native technology.
2. A job scheduler invokes the Source side ODI Package.
3. ODI then extracts the data from Source Interface table and populates the Target Interface table.
4. After populating the Target interface table the ODI populates the X-ref table with App 1 ID and generated common ID.
5. The ODI either deletes or updates the rows that were processed from the Source interface table.
6. On the Target Application ERP APP2, the native application extracts data from target interface table and populates target database there by generating ERP Application 2 ID.
7. A job scheduler on the Target application invokes the ODI package to populate the Application 2 ID onto the Xref table matching on the Common ID.
I just want to know :
1. How to populate data into the Xref table from Source datastore
2. And if data is successfully laoded from target datastore to actual base table of target then how to populate the target id into the cross reference table.

Link provided for mySAP ERP Enterprise Service Package ECC-SE 600, does not work. My company is SAP customer and I am SDN member.
Do I need some special login or membership to download ES packages?
I also understand that I can access the Enterprise Service from the ES Workplace (implementation) and for that I have to Apply For an Account. I applied for an account at this link https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/esareg .
After applying for an Account should be getting an email with user Id/password OR I can use the my Service Market Place ID?
Tried entering the my service market place Id, does not work.

I want to know how to use SERVICES in oracle 10g rac.I know how to create servcies i.e using srvctl create servcies or DBMS_SERVICES.
I know servcies can be used with JOBS using DBMS_SCHEDULER but i wat ot know besides jobs what are all the things we can used with services.

I found one function module /SAPAPO/CIF_ORDER_INBOUND to do so. But i don't know how to use it. Can you please tell me what are the input i should maintain in this FM?

Hi Rajib
/SAPAPO/CIF_ORDER_INBOUND is the FM called by the queued RFC process known as the CIF. If you use this FM then you will trigger potential errors in the CIF queue and application log. I do not recommend you use this FM except to see what the code does.
You can use /SAPAPO/RRP_ORDER_SET_CNVIN passing only ordid, set_cnvin = X, dialog = space and merge_not_allowed = space - be sure to create simsession using /SAPAPO/RRP_SIMSESSION_CREATE or retrieve it using /SAPAPO/RRP_SIMSESSION_GET. If you want immediate OLTP transfer then set old_olpttransfer to 0 - see values in domain /SAPAPO/OM_OLTPTRANSFER.
There is a standard program to convert orders /SAPAPO/RRP_ORDER_CONVERSION. You may be able to use this instead of reinventing it? Or at least see what's happening under the covers.

How i use Enterprise Services?

I don't find any description, how is use Enterprise Services with SAP PI for my IT-Scenario.
Actual situation:
I import the XI-Content (there is the Service Interface to use for the ES) in the Enterprise Service Repository (SAP PI 7.1), copied the Service Interfaces and all dependence Objects in my own Software-Compoment.
My Question:
What i should doing to config in my sap ERP ECC 6.0 with the Enterprise Service to connect with SAP PI 7.1?
Maybe ABAP-Proxies?

Hello,
Once you build Service Interface in PI, you need to generate PROXY in back end ERP system using SPROXY. After that you need to implement the Proxy Class Method by writing glue code using SE80. SAP comes loaded with all the extras. Among the extras that are most helpful to IT managers are all the access routines needed to pull any business object that managers can think of out of SAP databases. However, SAP has not thought of everything where your particular applications are concerned. SAP organizes its standard database tables to service business units based on conventional business applications. Itu2019s likely your business requires something new, perhaps even something exotic. In that case, you will need to create a new database, using information from different places. Basically, you need a logical database. You need to create a virtual business data object repository consisting of a new kind of record or table that suits your purposes. In addition, the repository should be composed of information that is actually stored in a number of different locations, none of them necessarily logically associated with one another. Letu2019s take a closer look at creating logical databases.
A case for a logical database
Suppose my company manufactures widgets of the most obscure variety, and they are components of other widgets. I sell my widgets as raw material for the more sophisticated widgets built by others, but in some cases I actually partner with other manufacturers in creating yet another class of widget. Now, in my world, I consequently have customers who are also partners. I sell to them and I partner with them in manufacturing and distribution. Also, I need an application that uses both of these dual-use relationships.
Essentially, I have a customer database and a partner database. Neither contains records that are structured to contain the identifying particulars of the other. Thus, I need a hybrid database that gives me tables detailing these hybrid relationships. What can I do? I can go the long way around and write a new database, pulling information from both and creating new objects with a customized program that I write by hand. However, this process is cumbersome and contains maintenance issues. On the other hand, I can use SAPu2019s logical database facility, create my logical database in a couple of minutes, and have no maintenance issues at all.
Logical database structures
There are three defining entities in an SAP logical database. You must be clear on all three in order to create and use one.
u2022     Table structure: Your logical database includes data from specified tables in SAP. There is a hierarchy among these tables defined by their foreign keys (all known to SAP), and you are going to define a customized relationship between select tables. This structure is unique and must be defined and saved.
u2022     Data selection: You may not want or need every item in the referenced tables that contributes to your customized database. There is a selection screen that permits you to pick and choose.
u2022     Database access programming: Once youu2019ve defined your logical database, SAP will generate the access subroutines needed to pull the data in the way you want it pulled.
Creating your own logical database
ABAP/4 (Advanced Business Application Programming language, version 4) is the language created by SAP for implementation and customization of its R/3 system. ABAP/4 comes loaded with many predefined logical databases that can construct and table just about any conventional business objects you might need in any canned SAP application. However, you can also create your own logical databases to construct any custom objects you care to define, as your application requires in ABAP/4. Hereu2019s a step-by-step guide:
1.     Call up transaction SLDB (or transaction SE36). The path you want is Tools | ABAP Workbench | Development | Programming Environment | Logical Databases. This screen is called Logical Database Builder.
2.     Enter an appropriate name in the logical database name field. You have three options on this screen: Create, Display, and Change. Choose Create.
3.     Youu2019ll be prompted for a short text description of your new logical database. Enter one. Youu2019ll then be prompted to specify a development class.
4.     Now comes the fun part! You must specify a root node, or a parent table, as the basis of your logical database structure. You can now place subsequent tables under the root table as needed to assemble the data object you want. You can access this tree from this point forward, to add additional tables, by selecting that root node and following the path Edit | Node | Create. Once youu2019ve saved the structure you define in this step, the system will generate the programming necessary to access your logical database. The best part is you donu2019t have to write a single line of code.

If they fall into improper hands, your middleware system could be wiped out and destroyed, reaping havoc on both CRM & ERP.
