How to use Finder in Yosemite?

I'm looking for a simple guide on how to use the Finder app in Yosemite. I have a number of questions, mostly around limiting search results. I find that Finder and Spotlight generally produce too many search results. For example:
1. How do I find folders (not documents) on my Mac whose names start with the letters ABC?
2. How do I ensure that hidden files are included in the search results?
3. Once I find the file I am looking for, what's the easiest way to copy the path name into another Finder window or tab, so that I can see all the files within that path name?
I know how to accomplish the above tasks, but my techniques are multi-step, and they seem clunky and inefficient. So I assume there must be better ways. Hence the search for a good training guide. Thx

How to use 'Find' menu in Screens

Hi all,
I wanted to know how to use 'Find' menu in screens.
Actually I have created a screen through SE51 and used the pushbutton to assign the function 'Find' ( one with binoculars ). The screen uses a table control to bring all the data from the DB table in the PBO module. When the user uses FIND button the system should prompt a search pop up screen onto which he will enter the search parameter and when he enter that the corresponding line item should be displayed on the tablecontrol. I wanted to know what logic should be incorporated in the program if that pushbutton is used. Please reply immediately. Its urgent.

Hello,
In the PAI under a module (user_command for example) when the user click the button you should use the command READ TABLE (if you look at the help, there's some options to do the READ dynamically - [http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/d3/2e974d35c511d1829f0000e829fbfe/frameset.htm]) to get the line index and with it you set the TOP_LINE of the table control ( tc_table-top_line = sy-index for example).
Doing this the selected line will be the first in the table control on the next step (PAI/PBO).

Find My Phone would have had to be activated/turned on before your phone was lost/stolen.. There is no way to do that now, thus no way to use such to locate your phone. Had you done so, you would login to iCloud.com from any computer & see if you could locate your phone.

How to use Find Change to add FC in front of all item numbers?

Hello,
I am using Indesign CS5 on iMac, running OS 10.8.3.
I designed a product catalog that has 148 pages. Now I need to save the same design and make a new catalog for our wholesalers. On the wholesalers catalog I need to change the item numbers and add FC in front of each item number. How can I use find change to find each item and change them with FC in front of the item numbers? The following are a few examples of the item numbers:
LED-4042 I want to change it to FCLED-4042
UA-42 I want to change it to FCUA-42
SC-110 change it to FCSC-110
KN-10 change it to FCKN-10
etc....
I am hoping there is a fast way to find and change these. I was looking in to GREP, but I could not figure how to do this.

One way would be to just run it and then *remove* any double FC's -- but GREP can do even more! One of its many functions is to scan ahead for the presence or absence of certain text, and only act when it is (or it is not) there. This is called "lookbehind" (before the text you want to match) and "lookahead" (after the text you want to match).
In this case, you want to find a phrase starting with capitals, but NOT the exact string "FC". That's a job for Negative Lookahead -- Only Match If Not.
Try this: search for
\b(?!FC)\u+-\d+\b
... the Replace With stays the same.

My question is this: Once this is done, I can move my device to another location, turn it off or keep it on but the only thing that the computer will show is the location again. As noted above, you need to have set up Find My iPhone on your device prior to it getting lost or stolen. If you did, go to https://www.me.com/ in your web browser (there's also a Find My iPhone app [opens iTunes link] that you can install on another iOS device to track it. These instructions are for using the web-based tool).Log in using the account you used when setting up Find My iPhone. This may be your Apple ID/iTunes account.
When you log in, Find My iPhone will immediately begin trying to locate your device. You'll see onscreen messages as it works. If the device is turned off, the map will display its last known location, not necessarily its current location. When it's turned back on, the map will update.If it finds your device, it will zoom in on the map and show the location of the device using a blue dot. When this happens, you can zoom in or out of the map, and view it in map, satellite, and hybrid modes, like any Google Map.
When your device is found, a window will pop up over the blue dot (if it disappears because you clicked elsewhere on the page, just click the blue dot again to get it back). Click the window and you'll see the various options you have.The first option is to send a message to the device or have it play a sound. You can send a message--for instance, letting someone know how to return the device to you--that will appear onscreen like a text message.Sending a sound to the device is best when you think you've misplaced your device in the house or office and want help finding it.
You can also click the "lock" button. This will allow you to remotely lock the device's screen and set a passcode (even if you hadn't previously used a passcode) that will prevent the thief from using your device or accessing your personal data.To do this, click the "lock" button, enter the 4-digit lock code you want to use twice, and then click "lock" again. For even greater security, you can also remotely delete all data from the device. To do this, click the "wipe" button. There, you'll see a warning (basically, don't do this unless you're absolutely sure you want to). Click the box that says you understand what you're doing and click the "Erase All Data" button. This will delete all your data, preventing the thief from accessing it.If you get the device back, you can restore your data from backup.
If you think your device is on the move, click the curved arrow at the top right corner of the screen to refresh and get a new fix on your device's location.

Just bought my kid an Iphone 4S, just like mine:) I want to use "Find Iphone" app to track him occasionally. AND I want to use the Icloud to see what pictures he is taking and what websites he is visiting. However, I don't want him to track me neither do I want him to be able to access my information over the Icloud.

How to use os x yosemite calculator - need decimal points

I updated to OS X Yosemite version 10.10.2 for my Mac. I cannot figure out how to use the calculator! All I want is to add dollars and cents. How do I get a decimal point? I've searched the web and don't see this addressed.

I double checked. No decimal point anywhere! I tried typing in a number with a period….nothing.
Along the top row it has ASCII, Unicode, Show Binary buttons and 8, 10, 16. I tried them all.
I have AND , OR, NOR, XOR, <<,>>, X<<Y, X>>Y, bite flip, word flip in the first two columns. Letters and numbers in the next three columns, and AC, C, RoL, RoR, 2's, and 1's buttons along with math operation symbols in the last 2 columns.
I can't believe I can't just add up numbers with decimals when doing simple math!
Any other ideas?

The ability to use Find my Phone with a secondary iCloud account has been removed in iOS 7. I want to be able to track my children's phones, but don't want to share an iCloud account with them. They know I am tracking their phones, and this worked fine for us prior to iOS 7. On their phones, I had Find my Phone turned off under their iCloud, and then added my iCloud to their phone as a secondary account, and turned Find my Phone on under my iCloud account. When I would launch Find my Phone on my phone, it would show me the location of all of my devices and of their phones.
In iOS 7, Find my Phone is not listed under the secondary account. What is the workaround for this? I know that I can go to a PC and log into their iCloud account and see Find my Phone that way, but I can't do that from my iPhone because it is linked to my iCloud account.
Can I link two or more iCloud accounts in the Find my Phone app on my phone?

I have my own iCloud account set on my mac and on my iPhone, however on my iPhone, I manage to use my dad's iCloud account so he can use the find my iphone app on my phone. I do this while still having all other icloud stuff (eg. imessage or app store) with my own icloud account/apple id (not my dads). However I recently bought a macbook air and Im trying to set up the find my mac on icloud but for some reason, i can only have one icloud account at the same time, and i wanted to have my dads icloud/apple id for the find my mac and my own apple id for the rest of the stuff. Does anyone know how to do this?

Copying & pasting should work, but it isn't necessary. In the Find & Replace fields hold down the Option key & hit the return or tab key.

Hi,
Add a search button to your table toolbar. Onclick of that you can take the user to the specified record entered in the input field. Add this inputField also to your toolbar.
Add the following lines of code to your search button event:
