How to use GPS without data

Hello Guys,
Just want to know what app I may use to use my Iphone 6+ with an GPS without the need to use the celular data.
I would appreciate your support.
thanks
Jose

Hi Fallmists,
To enable your iPhone 4 to be on Wi-Fi when in Canada, please use these steps below. These steps will allow you to connect to a Wi-Fi where it is available instead of you using a wireless network. Also, when you are using your Wi-Fi, the GPS would work off that Wi-Fi connection. I also understand you do not want Data Roaming wile in Canada. Please bear in mind, if you should need to use Data functions in Canada, this would be Data Roaming billed at the roaming rate of $0.002 dollars per kilobyte. Also, if you make calls while in Canada, it is $0.69 a minute for international roaming. Here is a link for international services information for additional assistance.
To enable Wi-FI:
1. From the home screen, touch the Settings.
2. Touch Wi-FI.
3. If Wi-Fi is not active, slide indicator to On.
4. To join a network device will display available networks, tap desired network and enter security password if needed.
For more assistance with your iPhone 4, please refer to this link for website on the support page. Please use the pull-down tab to select the specific iPhone 4 device you have to access information and tips.

  • How to use Count with Date Parameters

    Hello,
    I am having issues using the Count() function in conjunction with date parameters.
    This is a Siebel report and in my report I have 2 date parameters(From Date, To Date). In a nutshell I am basically trying to count Opportunities that has a start date within the given date period. However I don't see a reasonable way to put my date parameters within the Count() function. The reason being is that I need to have a huge chunk of code to convert the dates into a common format that can be compared, and it won't even fit within the code block in my rtf template. I am not even sure how to put multiple conditional statements inside a Count() function since all the examples I have seen are very simple.
    Anyone have a suggestion on how to use Count() with date parameters?
    Thanks.

    Any chance you can get the date formats in the correct format from siebel?
    I don't know Siebel - so I can't help you with that. If you get the correct format it is just
    <?count(row[(FromDate>=date) and  (date<=ToDate))?>
    Otherwise the approach would probably need to use string function to get year/monthd/day from the date
    and store it into a varialbe and compare later the same way
    <?variable@incontext:from; ....?>
    <?variable@incontext:to; ...?>
    <?count(row[($from>=date) and  (date<=$to))?>
    Potentially you can use the date functions such as xdofx:to_date to do the conversion

    But I am not sure if they are available in your siebel implementation.
    Hope that helps

  • How do I "Init without data transfer' using 7.0 transformations and DTP's?

    I have a data-mart situation where I have a standard DSO object that sends deltas up to a standard cube.  This data flow is created with 7.0 transformation and a delta type DTP and has been running fine.
    I now have a new single activated request loaded to the DSO object but I DO NOT want this request to delta update to the cube. In 3.x, I used to go into the init infopackage, manually delete the initialization pointer, and run a 'Initialize Without Data Transfer' to make this work.  Deltas could then continue as before.
    I do not see a way to do this using 7.0 transformations and DTP's.  I want to reset the init from DSO to cube so this request does not get updated.  Does anyone have step by step ideas on how this can be accomplished?
    Thanks in advance for any help on this issue.

    Hi,
    delete the data in the cube by using oprtion selective deletion based on request number.
    (if delta request is deleted from cube, with next load last delta records will also come)
    in this scenario there is no need to delete initiaizations option.
    in BI 7.0, initialization load is not there.
    see below documentation on DTP in SAP help.
    "On the Extraction tab page, specify the parameters:
    a.      Choose Extraction Mode.
    You can choose Delta or Full mode.
    In contrast to a delta transfer with an InfoPackage, an explicit initialization of the delta process is not necessary for the delta transfer with a DTP. When the data transfer process is executed in delta mode for the first time, all existing requests are retrieved from the source and the delta status is initialized. "

  • How to use database without wizard

    Can anyone help me to use recordsets without using the appwizard at the creation of my project?
    the purpose is to input on the database values from a form without using a database project, so in my MFC project I do the following and then I faced problems :
    In the class which I use the database I add the member variable
    CDatabase m-Mydatabase;
    on an "OnButton" function of this class I do :
    m_Mydatabase.Open(NULL,FALSE,FALSE,stringconnect)
    I have many dialog boxes, each dialog has a form from which I get data and put them on the database and vice versa.
    I create fo each dialog box a RecordSet, and I include the .h file of the record set in the dialog class in which I'm going to use it.
    So now how to use this recordset and put the values from controls to database ?
    thank's in advance.

    MFC? CDatabase?
    Hmmmm.....are you aware that this forum is for Java (a programming language) and you are asking a question about MFC (Microsoft C++ windows framework.)
    Perhaps if you could clarify the exact problem that you are having with java, jni or one of the other java libraries?

  • How to use java.sql.Date ?

    hi there:
    I used
    ps.setDate(27, new java.sql.Date(new java.util.Date().getTime()));
    ps.executeUpdate();
    in my code to insert the current date to the 27th column of one table, this column's type is DATE, the database is ORACLE. However, I got the error like this one: ORA-01843: not a valid month.
    I think I incorrectly used the java.sql.Date API to cause this error. So anyone can tell me how to use it correctly?
    Thanks for the answers,
    Sway

    Other columns are all VARCHAR2 type;
    The oracle error message indicated that this is a
    date-related one. 27th are the only column using DATE
    So I came to draw my conclusion that the SQL might be
    wrong.Except that if, for example, the date column is actually at index 26 then Oracle might try to convert the string being passed in (at 26) as a date. But it isn't a date. So then oracle is going to throw an exception indicating that something is wrong - like that the month is invalid.

  • How to use GPS on Nokia E65

    i am unable to use GPS on my Nokia E65. can u please tell me how i can use GPS on my mobile fone. secondly tell me does it coast some thing

    Depending on your software version Nokia maps can be used as a GPS programme. With the latest Version 2.0633.65.01 Nokia maps is included as a standard menu item.
    Your other option would be to buy a Garmin Mobile XT pack which includes maps and navigation. Depending on your gegion the price will vary.
    The E65-1 does not have a built in GPS receiver therefore you will also need to purchase a one. Nokia's LD-3W works well and is not that costly.
    Lastly Nokia maps will cost you as it needs to be activated for full navigation functions. Once again this will depend on your region.

  • How to use the "target Data lines"?

    Hello,
    I want to program some DSP effects and filters with Java. I know to use the "Clip" and the "Sound" data lines in the Java Sound API, but it is difficult to me tu use the "target data lines" to do what I want to. So I have several questions :
    I have found how to convert a clip to a target data line. I have understood how to get the int from the sounds via the target data line. But, when I have done the operations with this int, how to do again a sound from the int? Wich method must I use to "convert the int to a sound"?
    Normally, oscillators and filters need to do an integration using the sample rate. Does anyone could give to me some exemples?
    I have found code sources for C++ for DSP. Where could I find the same for Java?
    Do you know a book about this subject, I did not find any?
    Thank you for your help.

    My idea is to create a byte array from the audio clip via a ByteArrayOutputStream, then to create an int or a float, then do the operations, and then do another audio line from the new byte array. Am I wrong?This is correct, I believe.
    This byte array will have a size of 16 (for PCM or wave files) surrely.Not necessarily. If you're using 16-bit samples for PCM data, then every 2 array positions will be "a sample". Your byte array will be 2 times the number of samples.
    You'll want to pull the data 2-bytes at a time and do basiclly:
    byte[] data_in = new byte[2];
    myTargetDataline.read(data_in, 0, 2);
    short sample = (data_in[0] << 8) + (data_in[1]);Then do whatever you want to your sample, and then write it back...
    byte[] data_out = new byte[] {
    (byte)(sample >>> 8),
    (byte)(sample )
    mySourceDataline.write(data_out, 0, 2);I used a short instead of an int because it's 16-bit data, so it's a short. PCM may be an "unsigned" short, but you'll have to check into that yourself ;-)
    To be perfectly honest, I've never done this so my sample code will probably need to be tweaked. But I hope it helps you get headed in the right direction, and gimme an update when you try it out.

  • How to use forfiles= without recreating over and over?

    I’m struggling trying to get some file testing done and can’t figure what the right combination of commands should be. The goal is to have a number of files created (64, for example), then run different tests on those files, varying the number of files tested (from 4 doubled to 64, for example).  Things work fine if I have the rd section of the script set as:
    rd=f4,fwd=fwd4,files=4,format=yes
    rd=f8,fwd=fwd8,files=8,format=yes
    rd=f16,fwd=fwd16,files=16,format=yes
    rd=f32,fwd=fwd32,files=32,format=yes
    rd=f64,fwd=fwd64,files=64,format=yes
    The problem with this is that if I want to repeat the test or run a different test, the files will be recreated, taking much longer than necessary, as well as possibly causing storage specific issues. If I use “format=restart” or “format=no”, I end up with an error message such as:
    old depth=1; new depth=1
    old width=1; new width=1
    old files=64; new files=4
    I’ve tried using”forfiles=(4-64,d)”, but that also gives me errors similar to the above. The overall goal is to have a directory with a specific number of files of the specified length (files=64,format=only on a special rd line?), then run multiple tests, varying the number of files to be tested without having to recreate them every time. I’ve tried all combinations of forfiles, format=, and most other keywords I can think of, but just can’t seem to be able to get things to work without vdbench telling me that I can’t test ’n’ files if the directory contains a number of files other than ’n’. Same file sizes in all cases; just want to test a different number of them.
    The real question is how I can use the forfiles= command in a script that will be run many times without having to create the files each and every time. I’m clearly missing an important concept, but after a week of trying, I can’t figure out what it is.
    Any ideas?

    Correct me if I am wrong: You want to have 64 files created, and then test using, then 8, then 16, etc.
    'forfiles' won't do this; the file count is an integral part of of a file system structure and can not be changed without starting all over with a complete format.
    How about using for 'workingsetsize' parameter? This won't allow you to directly specify the amount of files, but if your file sizes are all the same then you'll just have do do a little math.
    I just ran this:
    fsd=default,depth=1,width=1,files=100,size=10k
    fsd=fsd1,anchor=r:\junk\fsd1
    fwd=fwd1,fsd=fsd1,xfersize=4k,fileio=random,fileselect=random,threads=1
    rd=default,elapsed=3,interval=1
    rd=rd1,fwd=*,operations=(read),fwdrate=100,format=once,forwss=(20k,40k,60k)
    Note the use of 'format=once'.
    This is the result:
    C:\vdbench504\output>grep -i created logfile.html
    10:31:59.151 FILE_CREATES        Files created:                               100     100/sec
    10:31:59.152 DIRECTORY_CREATES   Directories created:                           1       1/sec
    10:31:59.235 localhost-0: Created workingset=20k subset for anchor=r:\junk\fsd1 using 2 of 100 files.
    10:32:03.405 localhost-0: Created workingset=40k subset for anchor=r:\junk\fsd1 using 4 of 100 files.
    10:32:07.297 localhost-0: Created workingset=60k subset for anchor=r:\junk\fsd1 using 6 of 100 files.
    Hope this helps,
    Henk.
