Search the app store for remote desktop client apps - there are many. You may also need to configure a VPN connection. iOS 6 has a built in VPN, although if you use a VPN over SSL you may need to get an app for that too.
On my iPad, I use Cisco's AnyConnect and RDP app and it works alright (I would not want to use it often, but it gets the job done when needed). Never tried it from an iPhone as I image it would be horrible to actually use (scrolling to see all of the remote desktop, the keyboard on the iPhone covering most of the visible desktop - all sorts of awkwardness).

The following is an example on how to define a custom logger (including log4net) in tangosol-coherence-override.xml for coherence .NET client; you need Coherence .NET client 3.7.1 patch 1.

Phottix Ares won't trigger my off camera 430 ex II when using iPhone EOS remote app!

I have a Canon 6D, a canon 430ex II and a set of Phottix Ares transmitter and receiver. I have set up my flash off camera and was planning to use the camera’s wifi capability to take a self portrait with my iPhone EOS remote app, but the flash wouldn't fire at all. When I turned off the app and phisically pressed the shutter it worked but never through the app. Then I thought of mounting the 430 directly onto the camera, used the remote app to shoot wirelessly and I was surprised that it worked!!! I coudn't find the logic behind this and I tried to find an answer everywhere with no hope!
Has anyone gone through tha same experience or have any explanation or solution to this problem? or any alternative solution to get the flash to trigger while shooting wirelessly? thanks.

If you are shooting using Live View (through the app) it won't fire the flashes like that. But if you just use the app to release the shutter and review the pics it will. It's been awhile since I've used the app, but there's a button or something to go between live view and standard shooting.
That said, I've read that some cameras can work around this by going into the menu and disabling silent shooting, and then Live View will work with simple triggers. I've never done it as I don't shoot in live view, but I've seen this discussed a lot. Not sure if the same can be said for the app, but it's worth a shot (no pun intended).

I'm from the US, and there has been no alternative because Apple doesn't want people to be able to tether on the iPhone just yet. Apparently they will be releasing tethering to iPhone users here soon, but Apple took Netshare down because of that fact.
Now I don't know if there is anything else available in Paris, but you might want to contact Apple or your cell carrier and ask them, they would have a better idea about it.

is it possible to use an existing remote database instance for installation of Solution Manager?
Our dba has setup an empty database instance on a hpux oracle cluster for me and I don´t know how to tell the SAPinst during the installation of the distributed system that it should use this existing database.
Or is it mandatory to run the installation on the host where the database should resides and then create a new instance?

We currently don't support DataControls based on the ADF BC technology. We will consider such support if there is a strong interest in that use case.
Independent of the IDE's you use, there are ways to expose services based on ADF BC that can then be consumed by the view layer. A Google search will point you to some of the approaches.

Well first we cannot help you with jailbreaking options as that topic is against the TOS of this site.
Think it would just be easier to get a Pay as You go phone when you get there and use iPhone in WiFi only mode. Can usually find one right at the airport after landing.

How do you wipe (destroy) all content on your iphone if it is lost/stolen? I haven't lost my iphone, but I want to know how if it is lost or stolen.
I know this is possible because I watched the keynote address of Steve Jobs and he explained that since the iphone has the capabilities of syncing with your computer remotely, you have the power to completely wipe your iphone clean if it is lost/stolen, yet I have not seen any information anywhere on how to do this. Just restore the phone in iTunes and set it up as a new phone.

I have created one webdav enable site in apple mac mini server using apache. The webdav site is secured with https as well as client certificate.
While browsing the website using safari/IE everything is working fine,but with ipad's webdav utility it is not working.Client cert is not picking up by webdav nav tool, although the client ssl cert is installed in ipad.

Hello, I was wondering if there's any app/workaround on how to make iPhone act like a regular USB Flash Disk... just like Blackberry which allows itself as Data Storage...
It would be very useful as I often need to transfer my photos on iPhone to my photo printer (Fuji/Adorama etc) in town. Or is there any other convenient way because the photo printer guys are ONLY so used to USB transfer or through Bluetooth when dealing with other customers.

It's odd that Apple's products don't recognize each other.
I can hook up several brands of old crappy camcorders without issue, but I can't use the HD video from my Apple branded device.
