How to use iSync to sync photos and music?

Hey guys.
How do i use isync to sync my music and photos from my imac to my phone?

You don't.
iSync is for syncing contacts and calendar data from Address Book and iCal.
You'll have to look for an alternative third-party application to manage your music and photos, but as you haven't mentioned which – out of the 1000's of phones there are - you've got, I can't make any recommendations.

My ipod gen 2 willnot sync apps yet it syncs photos and music. i was able to sync yesterday and it still syncs everything else. i don't use icloud because all devices different purposes. How can i be a hero to my daughter?

i powered ipod off, plugged cord into devise and pressed the home button while plugging in the usb till the plugged-in picture came up on the ipod. it then let me reset in the ipod on the summary page(it was failed-password attempt and connected to a non-existent computer with different account-grandmas). so i reset it, change the name and was able to sync apps, music and photos. i have bout 300 apps, so today i found more for my daughter and ran into this problem. my apple id is also attached to the ipods itunes access. am i missing a step?

  • I have OS10.5 and an iPhone5 how do I get my apps, photos and music?

I have an Intel iMac core duo with OS10.5.8 with iTunes 10.6.1.  I have a 3GS which I recently upgraded to an iPhone5.  I sync my 3GS and headed to the store to pick up my new phone. The AT&T guy hands me instructions which says I need to update my 3GS (iOS5) device before syncing the new iPhone5 (iOS6). iTunes would not let me update beyond 10.6.1.  Apple, true to its word, I rec'd iOS update on Sep. 21st. So I turned on wifi and update my 3GS to iOS6.  OK now my itunes does not recognize either phone because they are both iOS6.  I never thought for a moment iTunes would not recognize my devices.  Now I'm perplexed.  I'm worried the answer is going to cost me more money.
I do have a wintel XP at my disposal which just downloaded iTunes7 onto, but of course, I have no previous backup stored.  I can't figure out how to get my apps, photos and music onto my new iPhone.   so, when I try to restore, it displays message that if I want to do this it will erase everything on my 3GS.  Funny how itunes 7 is compatible with XP but not Leopard, but that is another discussion.

Upgrade iTunes on the Mac and the OS if required so that you have the correct version for syncing with iOS6.
Alternatively, you can copy the ENTIRE iTunes folder from the Mac to the PC and then you should be able to sync to the PC without issues.
You'll still need to create a backup on the PC to restore back to the iPhone5.
You can also try backing up the 3GS to iCloud and restoring the iPhone5 from that backup, but that will not restore or sync any media.

  • I can't sync photos and music to my iPad afternoon updated to ISO5

After updating to IOS5, i can't upload my photos and music to my dad's iPad.  My and my mom's iPhone 4 are OK.  We just have problem with my dad's iPad.
I just updated it to 5.0.1, it's still not working.
    Anyone has the same problem?
    And can anyone help?
Sorry, I'm not sure how to search this forum, if this question has been asked and answered, can someone tell me how to search the forum.
    Thank you very much.

I loaded the photos through iTunes from iPhoto, the folder is on my computer in iPhotos. And still checked in iTunes.  Here is the exact message I get when I click on "Synch Music":
Are you sure you want to sync music? All existing content on the iPhone “Arthur Fenster’s iPhone” will be removed and replaced with songs and playlists from your iTunes library.
Maybe I am misinterpreting but it sounds like "existing content" means the photos, which can be put back on but then I suspect the music will be replaced.

  • How do I put all my photos and music from my iPhone 4s 64gb to my new mac book air?

i want to upgrade my phone to the new iphone 5 but i am only going to get a 16gb, i just got a new macbook air and i want to put all my pictures and music from my current iphone 4s 64gb on my new mac book. i am lost on where to start? please help!!

Ok, normally you would use Apple's Migration Assistant to move all your data from your old computer to your new one but if you don't have access to it, and all your data is only on your phone, you'll have to follow this guide to transfer the data to your iTunes library: Syncing to a "New" Computer or replacing a "crashed" Hard Drive.
You will read in this guide that iTunes will not transfer music from your phone to your iTunes library if it wasn't purchased from the iTunes store, and that you will have to use 3rd party software such as PhoneView to transfer it.  Also, you can only import photos to your computer that are in your camera roll (by following this guide: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083).  If you have photos in other albums such as photo library or photo stream, you will have to use an app like PhotoSync to transfer them to your computer.  You will need to transfer this data to your computer first.
After transferring your non-purchased music and non-camera roll photos to your computer, follow the steps in the linked guide above exactly as written, being careful to begin by disabling automatic syncing in iTunes, and being sure that you enter at least one contact and on calendar event on your computer, and authorizing your computer for all Apple IDs used to purchase your apps, music and other media (in iTunes>Store>Authorize this Computer) before syncing.
Your other option is to wait until you have access to the computer you last synced with, and then use Migration Assistant to copy your entire iTunes folder and other data to your new computer, as described here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4889.

  • Sync photos and music from iPhone to iMac.

When syncing an iPhone 5 (ios7) to an iMac (Mavericks) only the photos in the camera roll sync to iPhoto and not those photos that are in albums. Also, the only music that syncs to the mac is the music purchased from iTunes and not music added from iTunes on another machine.
How do you get all music and photos to sync to the new machine?
    Many thanks.

It will automatically do it when you plug it in, weather you have aperture or iphoto. when i plug my iPhone 4 in it will open aperture for example. If it doesn't do it automatically, go ahead and do it manually from device, iPhone section in iTunes. its like a file layout and on the top it will say photo, apps, music. etc. click photos and sync to iPhoto or aperture.

  • Cannot Sync Photos and Music with iTunes

After I updated my iPad mini and iPhone 5s to iOS 8, I cannot remove my music from my iPad to create more space, and I cannot restore the photos that was removed from my phone during the update process. With my iPad, I tried removing the music with iTunes on my Mac and the message appears asking if I want to remove music after I uncheck sync music, but it did nothing to my iPad, even after I synced multiple times. I even tried removing music on my iPad by going to Setting>General>Usage>Music, but one I clicked on Music the app would crash to the home screen. I have tried doing this with or without it connect to iTunes, as well as restarting it but nothing works. It keeps crashing.
With my iPhone I tried syncing photos multiple times but it is always stuck on (step 5 of 6: Importing photos), where it will continue for hours and then give up. I tried unchecking the sync photos first and then tying to sync it with the photos again but the same problem persists. I also tried removing the iPod Photo cache from my iPhoto Library and then syncing it again but nothing.

Problems solved! Apparently when iTunes 10.5 is installed, the settings for what to sync, e.g. photos, music is reset to the default in which no content is synched.  What's more, these settings are not particularly obvious in the Windows version on iTunes, as you have to scroll down to actually see them.  There is also no message or other information as part of the upgrade process that warns that theses boxes will revert to being unchecked after the upgrade.
From a user-centered design process, POV the upgrade and its instructions are woefully disappointing :-(

  • How to use hotback to sync master and replication?

    Hi,
If replication is down for some time, the data difference between master and replication will be large.
My question is: is it possible we just hotbackup the data and log of master, and then let replication recover from the backup?
    I did 3 test:
    (1) Test condition: master application keep writing, db_hotbackup is not run. Result: the log of master application is good.
    (2) Test condition: master application make no writing, run db_hotbackup. Result: the log of master application is good.
    (3) Test condition: master application keep writing, run db_hotbackup. Result: the log of master application will be corrupted. It reports 'checksum mismatch' error when I try to recover the data.
I am wondering why (3) could happen?
    Thank you very much.

At this time there is no connection between iPhoto for the Mac and for IOS. Hopefully that will come in the future.

  • Retrive my photos and music from ipod

my windows xp computer completely crashed and all my music especially my photos are on my ipod.now i have an i mac and
i want to put the photos and music in to the imac how will i do that i tried using a program called keith's photo reader but the photos come up as a big blur and the rest of my photos arent there there are only a couple.
anyone have any ideas on how to get all of my *photos and music* safely !!!

Fortunately, you are going from Windows to Mac.  Macs can use the Windows disk format, so your iMac can read data off of your Windows-formatted iPod.  The reverse would not be true, because a Windows PC cannot read data off of a Mac-formatted iPod.
However, iTunes syncing is generally in one direction only, from the computer's iTunes library to the iPod.  You cannot use iTunes to sync song files from iPod to computer.  But there are third-party methods and utilities that can transfer song files from iPod to computer.  If you do an Internet search on something like "ipod transfer," you should get some links.  (The CNET article seems to be popular.)
Once the songs files are on your iMac's drive, you can add them to your new iTunes library.
NOTE:  Ideally, you should transfer your complete iTunes library from your old computer to your new computer.  If that is possible (you still have access to your old computer with its iTunes library intact), and want to try that (instead of using your iPod as the data source), you can post back.
Photos are different.  When iTunes syncs photos to the iPod, they are optimized for the iPod's small screen and stored in a single database file (to save storage space in iPod).  Therefore, the images are at lower resolution on the iPod, and there is no way to extract individual photos from the database using software on your iMac.  The only exception is IF you had a setting enabled in iTunes when you synced the photos to the iPod.  That setting is on the iPod's Photos screen in iTunes (where you set up syncing for photos) for Include full resolution photos when syncing.  If that option was checked, you can enable disk use for the iPod and look in the Photos folder using Finder to retrieve the photos.
NOTE:  There may be third-party software that can extract individual photos from the iPod's database file.  But they will still be the lower res versions of the original photos.

How do I sync my iCloud photos and music to my iPad?

Welcome to the Apple Community Bendy One.
For photos, settings > iCloud > photos > on.
For music, you can re-download content purchased from the iTunes store (availability varies depending on location) using the purchased option which is revealed in the iTunes app on your iOS device by tapping the more button at the bottom of the screen.
