How to use JOURN.E TOUCH as an e-reader?

Greetings from Greece!
I just bought the new Journ.E Touch Tablet.

Although I'm happy with the different facilities, I haven't find a way yet to be able to read my e-books (pdf files), or any other "office" docs... i.e. word docs, excel or powerpoint.
Since it's running Windows CE and there are already many similar applications (also available for free as shareware), is there a way to run / import them into the system?
Any suggestions?
I checked also at "TOSHIBA Virtual Store" / Downloads / Applications, for any available upgrade, but found nothing!
I would appreciate an OFFICIAL reply from TOSHIBA HQ as well, since many others like me got that gadget to use it as an e-reader, but can't !!!

Unfortunately I didn't catch it! I need to use Journ.E as an e-reader and I can't! I'm wondering how come and such a useful application like that wasn't included in the system software from the start... furthermore, some program to open office docs (word, excel, powerpoint)...
Is it possible to install such an application some other way except the on-line shop? It takes so long for TOSHIBA to respond...
Can you maybe upload that beta software you have so I can use it too?
Furthermore, as it is written in other topics, it seems there is a bug that makes the system unstable and need to reset... and Internet Explorer needs an upgrade too, let's hope SOON will be a solution for all these, it's a pity we spent 250 e and can't use the product to the full!

Using the multi-touch trackpad to 'zoom' in or out is temporary.
The best way to permanently change icon size on the Desktop is to Command+click on an empty place on the Desktop screen and select Icon Size from the Desktop preference pane:

How to use a ipod touch 4g dock help?

I have tried everything and it still plays sound through speaker when plugged into my dock on my ipod 4g. It is a ebay dock that i want to use for my car stereo to make it more easy to hook stuff up and it has a charge in and a line out on it. but so far it is not working for the least bit on the line out and still plays out my speakers on the ipod.

Yes. If there is an Apple store nearby, I would make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apples store. If defective you should walk out with a refurbished iPod.

Using the I touch calendar...with windows is it possible

I am trying to figure out how to use the i touch calendar option with my windows computer. I located the ical but it seems to only be available for Mac users. Am I mistaken or is there a program available for me?

Your iPod touch will be synced with calendar data in Microsoft Outlook on your PC.

How to use a function in OWB 11.2

Hello all,
I need help running an Oracle function in OWB 11.2
I have created and defined the parameters of the function within the design center by right clicking on function, new from the Projects Explorer window. I have also validated the Function and it was successful. I have also tested deploying the function to the database successfully.
My question now is how do I implement it? ie how do I run it? the function is actually supposed to derive a column and load it into another column on the same table based on a condition
Do I drag and drop it within the mapping? and link it? please help me!

How to use Query in Crystal??

Dear all, This must be the simplest question around however, I cannot understand how to use SQL queries under Crystal.
I read the help file and it says you need to use universe to create queries.
I don't have a universe in my report nor it is coming from Universe. I am using direct ODBC connection link to database and then using formulas to put the information into the report.
Can someone please guide me to the Help articles or forum link where Query in Crystal is explained?

Hello,
I have done all that however, now my reports are taking way too much time to load. I mean nearly 5mins before it loads the report.
I used the SQL command as
Select order_no
From Order_header, Order_progress
Where Order_progress=77
Using this, even the fastest report takes forever to load.
Is it because it is checking every records against the tables and then loading the report.
Can we make it faster?

How to use PKCS related classes?

I am happening to deal with PKCS7. The client will send me (the server) a PKCS7 envelope and I need to decrypt and/or get data like certificate, etc from the PKCS7 envelope. Are the required/related classes not part of Java API? We use 1.4.2_06. Do I have to use/buy/download any special API to deal with pkcs?
This link http://java.sun.com/products/jce/jce122_providers.html says one needs to buy one of the listed Cryptographic Service Providers. Did any one deal with PKCS? If so what did you use/buy/download? Is there any information on net on how to use those APIs - examples, samplex, documentation, etc?

You can use the BouncyCastle JCE provider to use PKCS7 objects. It is free. David Hook's book "Cryptography in Java" provides numerous examples of how to use the BC libraries with PKCS objects.

What kind of camera bus are you using? (Camera Link, GigE, FireWire, etc.) When you acquire an image in MAX does it appear to have the bayer grid? Have you tried adjusting the bayer color of the camera in MAX?
There are two examples shipped with Vision Acquisition Software that show how to perform Bayer decoding one for NI-IMAQ and the other for NI-IMAQdx. If you open up LabVIEW's example finder by going to Help >> Find Examples you can search for Grab With Bayer Decoding.vi or Grab and Bayer Decoding.vi.

The only way I have managed to recover completely, which appears to be equivalent to a hard-reset.
Apply (or re-apply) the firmware update using SD card. Make sure to get the correct file that corresponds to your device. (mine is PX1530U-1ET1)
be aware that any previously used SD card needs to be formatted by a Windows PC to be totally successful.
I had problems getting the card recognised by the journe until I did a complete reformat of the card. (using quick format isn't thorough enough).
1. back up your data
2. put firmware onto card using a Windows PC
3. plug the charger into Journe touch
4. slide reset switch to left and back to the right. (with a paper clip)
5. insert your firmware SD card
6. power up and the Updating message should pop up.
It usually takes a couple of minutes to get things back to usable.
power off and remove the SD card. (keep it safe for future problem resolution)
