How to use Mysql platform with oracle 9i

Currently it is only supported in toplink 10x and above, for business reasons we need to use toplink 9i workbench, any help?

I did the following, copied the mysql4.xml onto config/platforms, back ported oracle.toplink.platform.database.MySQL4Platform class
from toplink 10g, when I open my project I get the following exception, any ideas? thanks a lot,

I'm using odp 9 to get data from an oracle 8 database. I tried to use odp 10 before, but it's not compatible with my data base.
I had to check the option "Utiliser une identification compatible avec oracle 8" ("use a Oracle8-compatible identification" in english I suppose) to make it works.
Next I tried to connect myself to the same database, using the same driver, through my .net application but connection failed.
So I would like to set the same option but in my c# source code.
Is there a specific connection string to use?

ODP.NET 10gR2 depends on Oracle Client 10gR2 and that does not support Oracle 8. ODP.NET 10gR2 supports Oracle Database Server 10g, 9i, and 8i.

It is unclear where you are having a problem. Is your issue at runtime (when the form runs in the browser) or when working in the Builder on the form?

I follow the instructions http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E17556_01/doc/install.40/e15513/toc.htm but there's no directory called ORACLE_HTTPSERVER_HOME\Apache and ORACLE_HTTPSERVER_HOME/ohs/modplsql/conf/dads.conf
I don't know where's dads.conf file to make change

A little bit odd is an understatement. The first time I found I had to download over 1Gb of stuff to run a simple web server I practically fell over! Hopefully, the Apex Listener team will update it to have backwards compatibility with mod_plsql and we can ignore trying to install Oracle Fusion Middleware Web Tier Utilities...
However, until then the TNS Names error generally means that there isn't a TNS alias set up for the database you have referenced in the mod_plsql dad. If you open up the dads.conf file you should see something like
PlsqlDatabaseConnectString localhost:1521:databasealias
If you then open a command prompt and do TNSPING databasealias you should get a response like this
Used TNSNAMES adapter to resolve the alias
Attempting to contact (DESCRIPTION = (ADDRESS_LIST = (ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP)
(HOST = localhost)(PORT = 1521))) (CONNECT_DATA = (SERVICE_NAME = ***)))
OK (20 msec)
If you don't it means you need to add it in.

These are two possible approaches that will normally work to move an existing library to a new computer.
Method 1
Backup the library with this User Tip.
Deauthorize the old computer if you no longer want to access protected content on it.
Restore the backup to your new computer using the same tool used to back it up.
Keep your backup up-to-date in future.
Method 2
Connect the two computers to the same network. Share your <User's Music> folder from the old computer and copy the entire iTunes library folder into the <User's Music> folder on the new one. Again, deauthorize the old computer if no longer required.
Both methods should give the new computer a working clone of the library that was on the old one. As far as iTunes is concerned this is still the "home" library for your devices so you shouldn't have any issues with iTunes wanting to erase and reload.
I'd recommend method 1 since it establishes an ongoing backup for your library.
If you have an iOS device that syncs with contact & calendar data on your computer you should migrate this information too. If that isn't possible create a dummy entry of each type in your new profile and iTunes should offer to merge the existing data from the device into the computer, otherwise the danger is that it will wipe the information from the device.
If your media folder has been split out from the main iTunes folder you may need to do some preparatory work to make it easier to move. See make a split library portable.
Should you be in the unfortunate position where you are no longer able to access your original library, or a backup of it, then see Recover your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device for advice on how to set up your devices with a new library with the maximum preservation of data. If you don't have any Apple devices then see HT2519 - Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store.

more than once.
I use apache's Xerces.
I want to know if Xereces realy support namespace spec. now, or how to use
the namespace with a parser. Can anyone kindly tell me where to find some
material that demo the use of namespace in Java program.

You have to create stored procedure in SQL only .
Like u must have create for Crystal .
You can execute procedure in query manager but you have to enter parameter manually..
