How to use new patch updates in track

Hi All,
I am a developer working in NWDI. We have everything in place and working fine upto now.
SAP has release a patch for the software component i am using in a track. Basis guys have updated the track and they confirmed the patch is updated successfully.
Now when ever i rebuild my DC, the changes are not effected as per the new patch. Please let me how I will be able to use new patch updates in my DC(In NWDS I can see the old source code only, I did all SYNC's and refresh but didnt worked, even NWDI is restarted)
How I can confirm that the patch is updated to track successfully, from a developer point of view.
I have access to CMS and CBS.

How to Use new Authorization Objects

Hi guys i need to implement the new schema of authorizations and i have created an authrization and add the 0comp_code characteristic (previously i set i it up as authorization relevant) and i need to add the restrictions for infoprovider but i need to add the new infoobjects 0TCAIPROV, 0TCAACTVT, 0TCAVALID, but this infoobjects i ve activated are not authorization relevant and i am not using them in any infocube, thats the reason why i cant use them in an authorization.....
Do i need to add them in my infocube or theres another configuration in order to use them?

Hello Oscar,
You do not have to add the 0TCA* characteristics to your InfoCube. Instead you have to set these characteristics to authorization relevant. Then everything should work as intended.

How to use new page in smartforms

hello friends,
                   i am using a smartform in which i have created a new page(page 2) ,in my page1 i have made next page as page2 ,but in page2 i cant make next page as page2 bocz page2 does not have main window,so in page2 i have made next page as page1 only.
im not gettin any errors,but only page1 is been displayed,no page2 is displayed,can any1 pls tell me how to use an additional page in a smartform

there is simple method to do so.
1. Your first page say 'PAGE_1' 'with main window is ready. This page points
    to say 'PAGE_2' as next page. till here its ok.
2. Now on second page i.e 'PAGE_2' do the following.
        a. Copy main windown from 'PAGE_1' ( select node 'PAGE_1 -> right click -
             -->copy ')
        b. Paste the same main window in 'PAGE_2' ( select node 'PAGE_2' -> right
            click -> paste).
        c. Set next page for 'PAGE_2' as 'PAGE_2'. (SAP will allow this)..
Thats it u r done.... save activate and test... now your main window on page 1 is filled .. it will display content on page 2 and then on page 3 which is of type page 2...because for page 2 we have set next page as page 2..

Hi Friend,
you can use the split method of String. to split that string base on space.
for Example
     String st = "Jeetendra Kumar Choudhary";
     String[] string = st.split(" ");
     for (int j = 0; j < string.length; j++) {
          System.out.println(string[j]);
By this way you can get the each word separately and you can concatenate it again in single string.if you need it.

I upgraded to Lion, but now I'm searching everywhere ho to use each new feature.
Apple's "Lion"'s page is just showing what features are new but now how to use/activate them.

I have just updated my ipod touch to ios 4. I have the wallpaper feature so I am presuming the rest of the features should work. How to I find out how to use the other features such as App folder options, Multitasking etc as I can't seem to be able to ??

How to use new cluster 'cl' commands from c/c++ code

I need to invoke cluster commands from c/c++ code and parse the output to retrieve neccessary fields e.g status to be used in program.
e.g
#cluster status
I need to capture output and use it in c/c++ code.
Does any one have tried to use new cluster 'cl' commands from c/c++ code??

The output of the cl* commands is for human consumption and as such (as most administrative commands) the output is not considered stable, so it could change with a Patch, etc.
Instead you should use the cluster api to retreive the information you need.
The Sun Cluster Data Services Developer's Guide for Solaris OS (http://docs.sun.com/app/docs/doc/819-2972?a=expand) describes the various possibilities, including the C API.
Read especially http://docs.sun.com/app/docs/doc/819-2972/6n57ngitf?a=view for more details as which functions are available via the libdsdev. Each function has a specific manpage outlining the lib and includes needed as well es which information it offers.
In your example, you can use scha_resource_get() (3HA) in order to retrieve the status of a specific resource (http://docs.sun.com/app/docs/doc/819-3055/6n5a6lhnl?a=view).

How to use Auto layout in book module

Hi,
I got a MBP mid-2010 15" running OS X Lion.
I´m trying to get the auto layout to work with presets. I might be doing something wrong here though:
1. "Edit Auto layout preset"
2. Choose for instance "Wedding" layout
3. Save preset
If I then click on "Auto Layout" it creates the book, but only with "1 Photo" on each page
If I then click on edit "Auto layout presets" again and choose the preset I just created, the layout option says "1 Photo" (I chose wedding)
No matter how I try to save this it goes back to 1 Photo.
What am I doing wrong here? Is it some kind of bug?

How to use new sequence when one is reached its maxvalue in PL SQL code

Currently, I am populating a unique product serial number in a table column using a sequence call to generate new number. For different products, I have different sequences and in my PL SQL code usiing IF..Else block I populate serial number for different products. For one most selling product sequence, we are reaching a Max value in production in a month and to make sure that application will continue to work fine for various end users without getting any error on their screens, I want my code to switch to new sequence automatically. I just need to add another if condition but my problem is how to find accurately when max value is reached for old sequence.
As call to old sequence can happen in different sessions there could be inconsistency and can end up at error. My new sequence value has to start with AV1000. Please suggest.
My old sequence look like this :

How to use Text Layout Framework in Flash CS3?

Hi,
I perferctly now how to get TLF to work in CS4.
As far as I know, the the base code is in AS3 so I should be able to locate the classes in CS3 and use it in Flash CS3.
I appreciate if there is anyone who can help me with this?

I'm not that knowledgeable about Flash Pro, however, I'd be quite surprised if you could make this work. CS4 added Flash Player 10 support. That includes a compiler update for Vector - a new AS3 feature. Minimally you'll have to get Flash CS3 to generate FP10 level content and compile with the playerglobals.swc from FP10. If you can get that far than adding textLayout.swc to your project should be straightforward.
Maybe someone else has an idea.

How to use new Maverick iMovie release ?

Hello,
I wanted to continue assembling my long 2011 travel in french Alpes. But I can't recognize this new iMovie release. I don't know anymore how to do the simplest thing : to select accurately a sequence from an event and to copy it into an open project.
Not to speak of the poor general performances of the system, but it's not the place to complain about. Hopefully, it's free :-)

I would advise that you consider finishing your big project using iMovie 9 (which should still be in you applications folder). You can always update it into iMovie 10 later (and from there into FCP 10.1 if you decide). I went from iMovie 9 to iMovie 10 then to FCP 10.1. FCP 10.1 has strong similarities to iMovie 10 but is much more powerful. I haven't found it too difficult to get reasonably proficient with it and like it a lot. I would not go back to iMovie.
Note that iMovie 10 seems very slow at first because after updating a lot of stuff from iMovie 9 it has to re-transcode all the clips and repeat shake analyses etc as background tasks.

How to use new cost center field, new profit center field, new account field?

As I create a new change request of adding new GL account, or that of new cost center, or that of new profit center, I normally enter the new GL code GL01, or new cost center CC01 or profit center code PC01 in "General Data" section on the change requst screen, these codes (GL01, CC01, PC01) are landed in ECC upon data replication.
I do see there is another field called "New Account" of GL change request, or "New Cost Center" of CC change request, or "New Profit Center" of PC change requst all of which is under "Administrative Data" section. I have never used it. but I was wondering what the purpose it will serve and how should I use them.

Need help in deciding how to use new hard drives & SSD

I've read through the suggested drive arrangements for 4 drives, but mine is a bunch of different drives and I would like some help. I have some drives coming and would like to set them up to be most efficient for PPro CS5 and Encore CS5. Here is what I have (or will have in the next few days):
Drive 1: New SSD for OS (win7 - 64) and programs - it is a Crucial C300-256GB and will be here in a few days.
Drive 2: A new WD Black 1TB - It will be here tomorrow.
Drive 3: Samsung 1TB drive
Drive 4: Hitachi 750 GB drive
I have run some benchmarks on drive 3 & 4 and they are about the same - not terribly fast. I assume that Drive 2 will be the fastest of the hard drives, and of course the SSD will be the fastest of them all. Any suggestions?

You have a really strong system!
Assuming you are running CS5, your system would benefit most from some level of RAID and to be fully balanced. I would suggest one of the following to match up with the rest of your setup:
1) hardware RAID w/ redundancy (i.e. RAID 5, etc.) with 5 1TB drives (between $1000 - $1500)
2) 3 or 4 drive RAID 0, by adding matching drives to any of the 3 drives that you have already (only pick one, retire the other two) (between $125 - $250)
Either of these options would require buying new drives (matched drives are strongly recommended for RAID arrays), and should be configured as per Harm's Generic Guideline for Disk Setup for Number of Disks = 5 (yes, even if you only go with a 3x RAID 0).
3) If you are really trying to save $$$, just follow Harm's guideline for Number of Disks = 4 and use your current drives, however I'm sensing with your choice of boot drive (pretty sweet C300!) you probably would not mind adding some additional matched drives and then using the leftover 2 unmatched drives for backups or other use.
The following thread includes some before / after mention of how CS5 performance was impacted by changes to drives in terms of PPBM5 benchmark testing:

If you have the time, you could test option 3 above using PPBM5 and see where your system falls. If you do, I would be interested in your finding - please post the results back to this thread as well.
