How to use one apple ID on 2 iphones 4s but not sync aps

My wife and I just bought 2 iP4s' and use Win7 machines at home for iTunes.
We have been sharing an apple ID for apps previously since we used 2 iPods + 1 iP 3 previously.
Now, when I download an app, her phone tries to download the same app.
The options under iCloud settings are...
Mail: off
Contacts: off (so we don't duplicate or copy each other's contacts)
Calenders: off (we use google calenders)
reminders: off
bookmarks: off
notes: off
photo stream: off
documents and data: off
Find my iPhone: On
Storage and backup: currently off (might be turned on later)
After reading in the forums I find myself confused...
Do we need to create 2 different iCloud accounts and can we still use 1 apple ID to purchase apps?
Will this prevent our phones from trying to sync apps? There is no setting for that in the iCloud settings.

When you created your iCloud account, the @me.com email address you created also automatically became an AppleID, but you used an exisiting AppleID in the first place to create the iCloud account before deciding on that @me.com address. So your iCloud account is actually the AppleID you used to initially create the account, not the @me.com address assigned once the iCloud account was active (look in your account settings on your iPhone or iPad and you can see what the iCloud account primary AppleID is).
Unless you specifically started using your new @me.com address for things, it is an unused AppleID, but it is NOT your iCloud account primary ID (that is whatever AppleID you used to create the iCloud account initially).
An AppleID is nothing more than an email address, but it is linked to an AppleID account held with Apple and thus can be used to log in to services including the various Apple stores.

I was trying to take my Mac air to factory default settings.
I've done all that it says in the documment i was following, and them during the process it asked me the APPLE ID.
I put the apple id i have in my iphone. But it's not the one... it's said that i don't have any OSX associated with it... so it can not install the OSX.

My wife got her iPhone 4 before I got my iPhone 4s. To make things easier, I allowed her to use my Apple ID and iTunes to sync/backup her iPhone. Now that I have an iPhone 4s... I would like to keep sharing the Apple ID and its associated content (be it apps, music, etc) but I would like our contacts and other individuals items to be kept separate. What is the best solution for this situation? Ultimately I want to avoid having to make yet another iTunes account/Apple ID and because we are married we share everything already. Thanks. I was afraid it would be something like that. I bought it off my NIH grant from Apple, so there is no problem proving ownership. Since I can easily live without iPhoto and iMovie on that computer, I probably won't bother, unless it prevents me from updating the OS when 10.9 comes out. The strange thing is I can update stuff like Xcode (which I absolutely need) without a problem. It appears to be just the apps that Apple both sells and provides with a new computer

I have one Apple ID for iCloud that is used on multiple devices. Each user has their own Apple ID for Store purchases. Can I use my Apple ID that is NOT my iCloud ID as a way to get my iMessages/FaceTime on multiple devices?

To clarify, we share an iPad (original iOS 5.1.1).
When I use it, I would like to use my individual AppleID that I use for store purchases so I get MY iMessages on both my phone and the iPad.
It seems to work when I use the iCloud Apple ID (meaning iMessages come through on both units) but when I try to set them both up using my store Apple ID, it doesn't work.

Using one Apple ID with two iPhones

A couple has his and her phones but only one Apple ID. They want to keep his and her music separate. They have checked the appropriate playlists for each phone, but the entire music library is on both phones. Can the music be separated in this situation?

How to use ActiveX to open/write to Excel template but not to overwrite it

Hi there again (it's me...if anyone recognised me...)
I managed to use ActiveX to open Excel and make it visible onto the screen. But I would like to know how can I make Excel open an Excel template and let me write data to the cells without overwriting the original template. I did try to use another program source such as the EXCEL TOOLKIT but I can't still figure out how does it work for my case. Is there a simpler example for me to refer too? Please help.

I have tried to use the examples provided LabView 6.0. I don't understand how to use the Range value to get the data from my global array and also how to open the template and write data to it.
At the moment, I could only open a saved dialog box and a default string filename is used to save my data into a new Excel but not the formatted excel which I want.

HT1918 My husband's iPhone4 uses one apple id for purchases and updates, but another is listed in the App Store. How do I reconfigure his phone to only use the apple I'd and password that is used in the the "featured" section of the App Store?

My husband's iphone4 seems to have 2 apple ids. The one listed in the featured section of the App Store is the correct one. The one that asks to be signed into for purchase and updates is also mine, and the incorrect one. Hence, our devices are linked. How can I remove my apple Id from his phone so that there is no connection between the two?

I think it may be because he got his phone first and not seeing a future issue, I set his phone up to my already existing apple Id used for my iPod. If I connect his iPhone to our pc, can I create his own apple id account?

Philly_Phan is absolutely right if you intend to be the primary user of both devices. Is that the case or will one of the devices be used by someone else with whom you want to communicate over Facetime and iMessage?

There's no tip that I am aware of. There are two ways to use the same Apple ID on different phones. First, on each phone you can just select or deslect the way that phone receives messages in Settings/Messages. But the better way is to create a new Apple ID and use it just for iMessage. Leave the phones sharing an Apple ID for the stores and content, but in Settings/Messages log out of that ID on one of the phones, and log in with a new Apple ID just for iMessages on that phone.

How to make one OR the other parameter required? (but not both)

I've got a report showing expenditures by budget code. There's a multi value parameter allowing the user to choose any codes they want, but this can be tedious, since there's a couple hundred of them.
I would like to offer as an alternative a couple of "pre-packaged budget code groups" on another parameter. How can I set it up so that the user must choose EITHER something out of the full multi value set, OR one of the 2 or 3 pre-packaged options?

In Reporting Services, we can make a parameter optional by setting default values for the parameter. Based on your scenario, you can set one parameter to have no default values and set default values for the other parameter.
As Josh posted, another approach is to add "All" value to each parameter and set "All" as the default value for each parameter. Then, we can set the visibility of the report to hide when both of the parameter contains "All". That way, the user can get the
report to run by changing the values of only one parameter. For more information about add a "All" value to a parameter, please see the following thread with a similar topic:

Using an iMac and a MBP with iTunes, but NOT sync'ed.

I imagine that this has been asked before, but...
I started out with a MBP... Recently, I have purchased a new iMac. I have successfully migrated all of my files from the MBPro to the iMac. Now that I have the much more substantial HD space on the iMac, I would like to remove many files from the MBP (photos, iTunes, etc.) But, I would like to have a way to "sync" files and photos and playlists from my iMac and the iTunes installed there. Is there a way to do this? I don't want to install the whole music library, I would rather just have a playlist that I could sync. Kind of like what the iPhone does.
I'm fairly new to the Mac platform (as you can probably tell), I suppose I could delete the files from the MBP and use the iPhone as a go between, if I use a different iTunes library...but is that the best way?
I appreciate any help or info provided!

If you are referring to simply migrating an iTunes Library from one Mac to another, then it sounds like it's pretty much done. - With regard to syncing files between two libraries; I don't think that iTunes supports this.
The easiest workaround there is simply to share your library using iTunes; this will give your other Mac access to the same files, it also eliminates inconsitencies as the library will only be stored on one Mac and won't become out of sync.

How do I delete an email from my iPhone 4S, but not have the email deleted from the actual email account?

I just got my iPhone 4S and when I delete my email from the phone, they are also deleted from my email account on the computer. When I had a Blackberry, there was an option to delete from the phone only or delete from both. Does anyone know if this is possible with the iPhone and if so,m how I do it? Thanks.

Not sure what email you are dealing with but when I go into the setting for mail and choose one of my accounts I can go to the Advanced settings for that account and click on "deleted mailbox". Leave the setting for "On My iPhone" to Trash. Under "On the Server" you can change where the messages go. Default is probably set to "Trash". Change it to "Saved" (if that folder is there) or create a new folder in your email client (access it from a computer and see if you can add a folder. Then check setting on your phone to see if the new folder shows. If so, then have the emails go to that folder. I would think this should work the way that you want. Just test it out and see if that works.
