I am a chinese mainly using DaYi input method to input chinese.
Since I can find third party developed DaYi input method (http://www.openvanilla.org/)
But DaYi is using 4 line of keys (include number key 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 0) for getting chinese words. As the result that, Lion without the Numpad will let us cannot select duplicate words in number. It is very inconvenence.
Do you have any idea to select number such as select by fn + word to select the number.

On your profile, you say that you are using Mountain Lion. Is that correct? If you are using Mountain Lion, you don't have to download the Mountain Lion installer again.
Also, that error is usually caused by problems with your Internet connection or your hard disk, so first, open Disk Utility, select Macintosh HD in the sidebar and verify the disk. If it's OK, you have problems with your Internet connection, so contact with your ISP

First, of course, you need a Flash drive with the Mountain Lion installer on it - do you have that? If you have the installer file, this is an explanation of how to create a bootable version of it on a USB drive.
Second, you have a very new MacBook Air which most likely is not compatible with the ML installers which are sold for general use, at least not yet. By downloading it, you get an installation specific to your Mac.

If your Mac is off then start up. As soon as you hear the boot chime, hold down the Option key until the Mac and Windows Disks show up. Then click on the Mac disk and the arrow below it. When you use the Lion restore as described, it does a fresh install on the hard drive that you can select at the beginning of the process. This provides a complete install of the very latest version of Lion, including the recovery partition. The drive that you choose for the installation destination winds up like what you would have on a brand new computer from Apple.

I have already followed the steps described in the section "Recovery system" of your link. (command-R, ...). But when I want to reinstall, they ask me to login with the account used to buy Lion (which I didn't bought since it was already installed)...

Click on the Menu bar and go to View . Or, hover over where the Menu bar shiuld be and click on it when it appears. Try quitting and relaunching Finder.

As long as they're all logged into the Mac App store with the same Apple ID, you can re-download the installer to all the Macs.
Or you can save a copy of the installer file before you run it and use that to update the other Macs. The ML installer file will appear in your Applications folder when it's done downloading. Copy it to another location (don't move it).
If you don't copy it before you upgrade, it will disappear when ML is finished installing.

Thanks Shelly! I too was having trouble and thought it was something wrong with my Mac. I still have a big though. When I try to print the saved pdf file, I get a pop-up that says "The document could not be printed. There are no selected pages to print" even though I am looking at the complete doc. It's there and in my print prompt "all pages" are selected to print. The way I got around this, is by emailing the pdf file to a gmail address and viewing the attachment via Google Docs. It loads perfectly and prints without a problem.

I want to connect my other system(ubuntu) using mac remote desktop client, But i could not locate remote desktop client in moutain lion.

In Ubuntu 12.xx use Dash to find "Desktop Sharing" and set the preferences, including requiring a password.
Then in Ubu use System Settings > Network to determine your Ubu machine's IP address, such as 192.168.1.13.
On the Mountain Lion Mac do Finder > Go > Connect to Server and enter: vnc://192.168.1.13 or whatever your IP is. Enter the password that you used in the Ubu Desktop Sharing setup, when asked.
On the Ubu machine answer the question that pops up asking for permission to connect. Your Ubu screen will now show up on the Mac, and you can remote control it. Here I am running "Octave" (a math program) on the Ubu machine, remotely.
Works great! BTW, you can do this from an iPad too, using a VNC client such as Mocha VNC Lite. You can even run both remotes simultaneously.

How do I find out how HD space my upgraded Lion OS and Apps are using? I am purchasing a new iMac with 256GB SSD for the main drive and 1 TB for the secondary drive, but I want to make sure that 1. My current apps and lion will fit on the new HD as well as have room for a windows BootCamp install. Is there a way to find out?
