How to use preferred technician used in advanced scheduler

Hi,
Can any one please help me in setting the preferred engineer in scheduler.
We have set the preferred engineer at the contract level in service contracts manager for some contracts.Then we have set the profile option "CSR: Resources based on cotracts for autonomous and auto scheduling" to "YES".But the problem we have is whenever we try to schedule tasks that are not having any contract preferred engineer, they are getting erroded.The reason for the failure it gave was that the preferred engineer is not present.So, is there any profile option to set, so that all the other tasks can also be scheduled successfully.Scheduler is searching for preferred engineer for the tasks which are not having any 'preferred engineer'.

If you have set preferred resource profile for contract then scheduler will try to find them and if no resource found then it will error out. For other tasks not having contracts, you can get preferred resources from Install Base. You can enable profile 'CSR: Installed base resource selection for auto schedule and autonomous scheduler' to YES. Here scheduler will try to find resources from install base also.
Here, preferences between contract resource or install base resources can be governed by another profile, 'JTFAM: Resource Search Order'. If you set 'Install Base Preferred Resource' then scheduler will first check for install base resources.

How to use "scanner advanced" signal with DMM 4060?

Hi!
We're using SCXI-1128 switches with 1331 terminal blocks. The switches should communicate with the PCI DMM 4060 via the SH9MD cables.
Does someone know if there is a possibility to use the scanner advanced signal from the switch over these cables (for handshaking)? The documantation says the signal is only available on the front connector (1331) which does not make much sense in my eyes...

When you are using the SH9MD to communicate from the 4060 to an 1128, you are using the cable for SCXI communication. You are connecting this cable to the back of the 1128 and the only signals it can carry are SCXI communication and the Measurement Complete (MC) from the DMM to the Switch. The 1128 cannot route his Scanner Advanced (SA) signal to the back where the SH9MD connects, and there are not any available PIN to carry it.
If you want to use handshaking with a PCI 4060 and a 1128, you will need to control the Switch using a different controller than your PCI 4060 (another 4060/4070/4021) connected to the back of the 1128 using the SH9MD cable. You will also need to get the "trigger cable" for your PCI 4060 (available page 298 in 2002 NI catalog). This cab
le splits the SH9MD into 2 BNCs; EXT TRIG IN and MC. These BNCs need to be connected to the SA screw terminal and to the EXTRIGIN screw terminal respectivelly on the 1331 terminal block.
The DMM will need to be set to external for both the Trigger/Sample trigger and the MC destination. The Switch would also have its SA destination and input trigger set to "front of module X".

How to use the latest schedule date in PO creatation

Hi all
What i am trying to do is, on the sales orders i have 2 schedule lines. The 1st with the date that the customer wants delivery & the 2nd with the date we can actually supply (based on lead times etc.) This then automatically creates the purchase requisition & purchase order. but i want the purchase order to be created with a delivery date based on the 2nd schedule line not the first.

The schedule line functionality in Sales order work in such a way that,
If the quantity to be deliveried on a particlar day is available then system atomatically determines the schedles lines date, if not then it will propose the date on which the delivery can happen ,
In you case , i think the schedule lines date the system confirmed is on the date which was required by the customer and on that date the Purchase requisition was generated, so please check on which date the confirmed quantity was met the order quantity .
if you have to change the delivery date, that you can do in the delivery document as actual goods issue date,

New Advanced tab for Calibration-how to use properly?

Dear Adobe and Lens profilers,
I have just used the newest Lens Profile version and noticed the new "Advanced" tab on the right beside "Calibration". There are lots of choices for rectilinear, fisheye, distortion, etc. I need information on how to use the advanced tab - I do not see updates to the user guides that are available that address this new tab. For example, there are "one parameter radial distortion" up to five parameters for various items, there is a sensor pixel shape choice - could someone from Adobe please address and explain these choices and how to properly set them for use,(including the vignette model and principal point choices, and all of these).

Hi Debra, in general, the higher the number of parameters, the better the potential for correction (especially for full frame cameras). For example, the three-parameter radial model in some cases will do a better job than the two-parameter radial model. I have not found cases yet where the 5 parameter (radial & tangential) model is helpful. As you can see, the default option is Auto which means Lens Profile Creator does an internal comparison of which model works best for your provided measurement data, and picks the appropriate model automatically. (This is largely why it is not necessary to fiddle with the Advanced settings.)
When you find cases where Lens Profile Creator is not building a satisfactory profile, my experience has been that the common issues cannot actually be addressed by using the Advanced settings. For example, if the profile is slightly overcorrecting for vignetting, changing the Vignette model parameters in the Advanced section often does not help. (This does not mean that future versions of ALPC won't provide other ways to deal with it. It just means that for now ALPC does not provide a direct means by which to tweak a profile that is slightly off.) If you are using Camera Raw or Lightroom, my suggestion is to use the "Correction Amount" sliders beneath the profile selection to adjust the correction. In the vignette overcorrection case, instead of using the default value of 100, dial it back to 80 or 60 (as an example)

Trying to understand and learn how to use btrfs

I have been the past days trying to get my head around how btrfs works
I have been trying tools like mkinitcpio-btrfs (very poorly documented) and now, if i list the subvolumes i have in certain volume (/) i see i have 4 subvolumes that have been created while playing around.
If i try to delete them with "sudo btrfs subvolume delete __active", for example, I get a "ERROR: Error accessing '__active'
What am I doing wrong?
Also, I cannot get the whole idea about the difference between snapshots and subvolumes, i mean, a snapshot should be a directory that saves the changes made on the fs, s, if you want to roll back those changes, you just have to make btrfs "forget" the changes stored in that directory and move along, but I cannot take the idea of the subvolume thing.....
As btrfs is quite experimental and the wikis are not noob-proof still, I'd appreciate if someone gave me a hand trying to understand these concept...
For the moment, I'm just using it on a test computer and on a personal laptop with no fear of data loss,.

I honestly think it is probably a better idea to not use mkinitpcio-btrfs. As mentioned above, it is poorly documented, and for me it has never worked right (if at all). It is an unofficial AUR package, and unfortunately our wiki still seems to give the false impression that using this package is the way to user btrfs with Arch.
The way I have my system set up is that in subvolid=0 (the root of the btrfs filesystem) I have a rootfs subvolume and a home subvolume (there are others, but these are what primarily make up my system). So in my fstab, I basically have two nearly identical lines, but one has no subvol specified and is mounted at /, and the other has 'subvol=home' mounted at /home.
So in order to make it so that I can change the root filesystem as I please, instead of having the / fstab entry specify the subvolume, I put it in the kernel command line. That is, I have 'rootflags=subvol=rootfs' in the kernel command line. So if I want to change it, I simply change the path to one of the snapshots.
Just remember that if you are one who likes a custom kernel, it is likely that you will have to have an initamfs no matter what you compile into your kernel. For one thing, the kernel has no mechanism for scanning for multiple device btrfs filesystems. But also, I have read that the kernel itself cannot handle the rootflags kernel command line argument.
Oracle Linux does something interesting with their default setup. They are not a rolling release, so this probably wouldn't work so well in Arch Linux, but they actually install the root filesystem (I think it is actually done to subvolid=0) and then after installation of the packages, a snapshot of the root filesystem is made, and the system is setup to boot off of that snapshot. So it is almost like having an overlayfs on openwrt. There is always a copy of the original system, and and changes that are being made are being done "on top" of the original. So in the event of an emergency, yo can always get back to the original working state.
If you put your root filesystem on something other than the root of the btrfs filesystem (which you should, as it makes the whole setup much more flexible), then you should also set up a mountpoint somewhere to give administrator access to the filesystem from subvolid=0. For example, I have an autofs mountpoint at /var/lib/btrfs-root. chose that spot because /var/lib is where devtools puts the clean chroot. So it seemed as reasonable a place as any.
You should go to the btrfs wiki, and peruse through the stuff there... not our wiki, but the actual btrfs one, as our wiki is pretty sparse. There is not all that much content there (not like the Arch wiki), but it does cover the features pretty well. I mean, there is certainly quite a lot for being information on only a single filesystem, but it shouldn't take you too long to get through it. There are a few links to articles about midway down the front page. What really gave me a better grasp of getting started with btrfs were the ones titled "How I Got Started with the Btrfs Filesystem for Oracle Linux" and "How I Use the Advanced Capabilities of Btrfs".

Using Threads to schedule tasks

Make a Timer which get's up periodically the threads (every time they need to perform the task). When the threads gets up it performs it's task and the came back to sleep, remaining in this state until the timer wakes up it again.

I have two reports. I fill "Report ID" in both and then I can push "Add Report" and fill fields property.
Then I'm can "drill" from one report to another on right click, but how to pass parameters?

On advanced tab:

Now, when I run the first report and click do right click on a row and select TEST2
from popup menu, it navigates to the second report test2, but WITHOUT actual value
from NUM column from first report.
I'm using latest version of SQL Developer (1.1.1.25) and I like reports.
With this feature it would be even better.

This is also known as VoLTE or Voice over LTE. Like Vonage, but for cell phones. Advanced calling is turned on or off in your phones settings, usually near Call/Phone option. It allows an HD quality call between you and another Verizon customer who is using an AC-enabled phone. It also allows you to talk and surf simultaneously and conduct video calls. This AC requires Mobile Data to be on when out and about but can still be used on WiFi.The min do not count toward your data, however the video counts toward your data.
Some customers report poor call quality or dropped and missed calls when using this newer feature. Disabling AC usually helps quell those issues.

How can I use an advanced action to show a sequence of images by clicking on a single button?

I'm trying to make Captivate 7 project where I have several slides where images are revealed one after the other. I wanted to insert a button along the lines of click here for next image but can't work out how to write the script for it. Your specific use case could be handled a number of different ways:
Have your images on different slides and use an identical button to jump to each slide.
Use Conditional Advanced Actions and User Variables to check which images have been viewed and then show the next image in a series. This would allow everything to be done on the same slide but is a more advanced technique that may be beyond your abilities until you are more versed with how variables and advanced actions work.

How do I format my HDD to Advanced Format/512E to use 512K blocks with Windows Backup?

I'm running Windows 7 Pro 64-bit. When running Windows Backup onto an external 4TB Touro HDD (2TB partition), I receive the error:
The last backup did not complete successfully. One of the backup files could not be created. Details: The request could not be performed because of an I/O device error.
Error code: 0x8078002A
The cause was given on a forum as:
"The "root cause" is that Windows 7 (and its system tools) does not support a 4K native block size. As a workaround the disk can be formatted with "Advanced Format"/512E to use 512K blocks."
It was suggested I try WD Quick Formatter, but this only works with WD HDDs.
How do I format my HDD to "Advanced Format"/512E to use 512K blocks, so I can use Windows Backup with it?

How to use TCP Checksum Off-load in my network driver

I am seeking infomation on how to use TCP Checksum Off-load to tell the Solaris 8 stack not to handle it for both receives and transmits (and let our NIC handle this compute-intensive task instead).
There is mention that Sun GigabitEthernet Adapter cards, Release 1.1 supports Sol-2.6 use of NIC features: TCP checksum offload & byte swapping

Could you show your python code. so we know what your are "writing" to the ethernet port?
That way we can see what you are receiving.
Parsing the incoming data (from the TCP-read) depends heavily on the device that sends it, and can not generically be described. LabVIEW has many byte (and even bit) manipulation functions to convert many different data formats to its own build in formats.
So after the TCP listener is connected, you are constantly reading from the established connection (until it gets broken of course). More advanced example would be the internet toolkit if oyu have it.
From the read characters (and I hope you designed a protocol with a clear starting character, ending character and maybe even a build in checksum) you parse the data and perform you action, and of course generate a reply. Again the internet toolkit is a good example. It parsed the input as it comes it, based on the HTTP format. Then generates the reply based on the request received.
These days I would suggest not to use binairy encoded numerics. Try and use XML formatted data. Yes, it causes a lot of overhead. But typically this is not an issue and makes the code a lot more portable and maintainable. Also makes it easier to interface with other languages/platforms.
Umless of course you are looking at Khz data rates, then XML is not th preferred choice.

in one segment of the Keyflex filed i need to get the all the grades of the business. which i did using the table valueset.
now in another segment of the kff, i need to get all the grade steps depending on the selected grade.
like if i have a grades say G1,G2,G3,G4...........
and grade steps
for G1-steps(1,2,3,4,5,6)
for G2-steps(1,2,3,4)
for G3-steps(1,2,3)
for G4-(1,2,)
etc.
Now my requirement is if the user select the grade G1 from the valueset. then in the next filed of the segment should come only those steps which are valid for that grade.
i hope i have given clear pic of my requirement can anyone please help me out, how to proceed for this.

Well, I know what you're talking about, but this is something that is usually done in different ways depending on the front end interface being used.
Are you referring to Oracle Forms? Apex? .NET? Java? or what???
