How to use Prompts in the Filter created in Change Report Properties

Hi all,
I have created one Datetime prompt in Change report properties dialogue box.
Now how can I use this same one in the filter ??
Since I didn't get Surface and Prompt option for the Date field in the filter.
Any help is appreciated.

Actually problem is with Datatype..It was timestamp but it should be Datetime

Hi Sandy,
You can't use virtual characteristic in the query since virtual characteristics are popultaed at query run time and in the cube it is simply 'BLANK'. So if you use any filter (except 'blank') on this characteristic then you are not going to get any records feteched from the cube itself.

How to use prompt with ppt

Using obiee 11g,
I am trying use MS Office Powerpoint with BI.
So i downloaded the tool and then connected to BI Server login to MS office ppt.
After login i tried to drag one report.
When i did it told me "View cannot be inserted beacuse the result set may be empty".
So this problem was caused because i am using dashboards prompts in my dashboard.
How can i use dashboard prompts here in the ppt?

Actually I am not using Bi publisher at all.
What i did was.
I downloaded the oracle bi for MS office.
Then i installed.
Then opened a PPT.
Login to OracleBI inisde the PPT.
Dragged a report/answers from catalog.
But since there is a dependency on the prompts value there its sowing no results found.
So i just wanted to know how to use prompt value.
The link which u gave tells to use BI publisher parameter name and all.
I dont have much idea regarding BI publisher.

why does the Date Created metadata change when images are exported? How do I stop it from changing? I must have a prefernce set up wrong.

I don't know what OS you are using, or what application you are using to view the data about your exported files, but on Windows and using Windows Explorer the "Date Created" field relates only to the date that the exported file was created, i.e. if viewed immediately after export it will show the date created as being the same date. In order to view "Capture Date" in something like Explorer, you first have to ensure you have included the Metadata as Conrad outlined above, then you have to adjust the display properties of Explorer to show the "Date Taken" field. Here is an example, part of a folder I exported back on March 3rd, note the difference between that last two dates:

i encounter a problem,our team must use disabled inputtext when the text is only used to output string.
the reson we don't use outputext is if there is noting in the outputtext,there is nothing displayed.

If you make your inputText disabled -----> shortDesc will not be displayed.
You can make a workaround to achieve this by using popup as :
1- add showPopupBehavior inside your inputText as :
<af:inputText label="label1" id="it1" disabled="true">
 <af:showPopupBehavior triggerType="mouseOver"
 align="endBefore" alignId="it1"
 popupId="p1"/>
 </af:inputText>2- add a popup which will display your shortDesc text
<af:popup id="p1">
 <af:outputText value="Sameh POPUP" id="ot1"/>

I'm assuming you're talking about this, since you didn't provide a link for those of us who don't know what you're talking about.
As the other poster said, you didn't say how you want to use LabVIEW with it. If you want to write LabVIEW programs than run on the microprocessor, then you're out of luck. If you want LabVIEW to interact with it, then you've got a couple of options, SPI probably being the best, but it also has DI and AI that you could use to communicate with it - the DI's could be used as a parallel interface.

Can we use IDOC_INPUT_ Message type for creating and changing the document

I have a requirement to create or change the requisition data.
Can I use IDOC_INPUT_PREQCR01 function module for both the purpose.
OR shall I go for custom function module by using BAPI function modules to create or change the data.
Please help me in this regarding.

You could use the IDoc processing function module if you had the data already available in the IDoc specific format (which is unlikely). This would mean you are receiving the IDoc data from another SAP system.
Instead, check the BAPI explorer (transaction BAPI) if you can find an appropriate BAPI.

Assistanttolindsey the Adobe Download Assistant will download the installation files for Adobe Acrobat Professional XI. By default they are saved to your download folder. You can begin the installation process from there.

Hi All.
i created a Tabular Form using the Wizard.
i want to change one of the columns in the report to be an LOV.
the LOV has a WHERE that uses one of the other columns in that report.
i tried to do something like that:
SELECT <display_value>, <return_value>
FROM <some_table>
WHERE <my_column> = #ANOTHER_COLUMN_FROM_REPORT#
it doesnt work...
anyone know how to do it?
