How to use property object with dequeue

I tried to do following steps in Labview7.1 and Teststand3.1:
- Create a named Queue in Teststand
- Get the named Queue reference in Labview (GetQueue)
- Enqueue an property of type NI_BatchControllerRequest into the Queue in Teststand
- Dequeue the element in Labview by using a Fileglobal of type NI_BatchControllerRequest as destination property object
At the first Enqueue, the object is correctly dequeued and stored in the Fileglobal. But at the next enqueue, I get the error -17300 (Exception occured in TSSync, Unable to set a top-level property object to another object) at the dequeue operation.
When I use flat datatypes like string or bool, there are no errors, also at multiple enqueue operations.
Can anyone help?

I did not realize that you are using the SyncManager low level API. The low-level API has a few restrictions that the step type does more work to hide from the user.
If you look at the dequeue API function it takes an input parameter which is the destination object. Internally the dequeue operation uses the SetPropertyObject method to do the assignment. This method requires that the object that you assign a value to has a parent so that the engine can go to the parent, delete the child, and add the new child in its place. Even if the destination property object that you supplied had a parent, your reference to the "destination" would not be the new object because your reference is pointing to the old property a
nd not the new one. You would be required to go to the parent and ask for the child again.
A simple change to make this work for you is to use a reference object as the destination and then use GetValInterface on it to get the element from the queue. I have updated your VI to illustrate this.

I need to monitor a tank level for alarm conditions. I have created an alarm object so the user can specify values for the lolo, lo, hi, and hihi. This works fine, except if the tank level hovers around an alarm level setting, too many alarm records are generated. The Lookout Help page for the alarm object says to use a neutralzone object to filter out the minor fluctuations, but I can't find any details on how. So how do I do this? Can I use one alarm object with one neutralzone object for the four alarm settings, or one alarm object with four neutralzone objects, or four alarm and neutralzone object pairs? How do I connect them?

Another method would be to add a delay before alarming using a DelayOn timer.
Ryan's suggestion would work, but if the process requires decimal precision you cannot use that method.

Go to SE11, in the option 'Lock object' enter the name of your lock,
begin with 'E', suppose 'EXXXX' And create. In tab 'Tables' fill the
table name where the record you want to lock exist and select the
lock mode. Lock mode can be shared and exclusive. If 'shared',
when you lock the record, other can also read data, but can not
modify. If 'exclusive', when you lock the record, other can neither
read nor modify the record. After save and activate, you will get two
function module.'ENQUEUE_EXXXX' to lock record,
'DEQUEUE_EXXXX' to release lock on one record.
When use this function module it only lock one record at a time. It
does not lock the table.

A little bit late in the project we have realized that we need to use Oracle partitioning both for performance and admin of the data. (Partitioning by range (month) and after a year we will move the oldest month of data to an archive db)
We have an object model with an main/root entity "Trans" with @OneToMany and @OneToOne relationships.
How do we use Oracle partitioning on the @OneToOne relationships?
(We'd rather not change the model as we already have millions of rows in the db.)
On the main entity "Trans" we use: partition by range (month) on a date column.
And on all @OneToMany we use: partition by reference (as they have a primary-foreign key relationship).
But for the @OneToOne key for the referenced object, the key is placed in the main/source object as the example below:

How can we use "partition by reference" on @OneToOne relationsships or are there other solutions?

How to separate an object with a 3d effect
Hi, I have outlined some text and applied a 3d effect but now I want to separate each letter so I can adjust the colour on the face of the letter with the colour on the extruded part.
I am sure it is probably straight forward but could do with a little help!

I think what the OP wants to do is to keep the extruded part the same color and change the face of the letters to different colors. And he/she did mention that the text is outlined.
If that's the case, I can think of two things to do if you want to keep the 3D effect live (i.e., unexpanded).
1. You could apply a stroke to the outlined text, in the color you want for the extruded part. Then just change the fills individually (Tip: view in Outline mode and use the Group Selection tool to select each letter).
2. If you don't like how the stroke looks on the letters, make all the letters the same color — the color you want for the extruded part. Then make a copy of this group of letters. Select the copy, then click in the Appearance panel to to edit the 3D effect. Put the Extruded Depth at Zero. Now chnage the colors to your liking, then align them with the original. Interestingly, you can't just use the Align functions, you have to eyeball it.

Using Timestamp Object with day light saving time

I am getting problem while using timestamp object with daylight saving time.
I am in 'Europe/London' time zone.
The summer time for this year starts on 30 March(last sunday) at 0200 hours.
For hour 30/03/2003 01:00, I created a date object using SimpleDateFormat and then created the timestamp object using the longvalue got from dateObject.getTime();
On printing the timestampObject.toString() it displays
30/03/2003 00:00 BST.
It seems that timestamp object uses the system timezone and I want it to be in GMT.
Could you please tell me how can I get GMT time from timestamp object.

These are two possible approaches that will normally work to move an existing library to a new computer.
Method 1
Backup the library with this User Tip.
Deauthorize the old computer if you no longer want to access protected content on it.
Restore the backup to your new computer using the same tool used to back it up.
Keep your backup up-to-date in future.
Method 2
Connect the two computers to the same network. Share your <User's Music> folder from the old computer and copy the entire iTunes library folder into the <User's Music> folder on the new one. Again, deauthorize the old computer if no longer required.
Both methods should give the new computer a working clone of the library that was on the old one. As far as iTunes is concerned this is still the "home" library for your devices so you shouldn't have any issues with iTunes wanting to erase and reload.
I'd recommend method 1 since it establishes an ongoing backup for your library.
If you have an iOS device that syncs with contact & calendar data on your computer you should migrate this information too. If that isn't possible create a dummy entry of each type in your new profile and iTunes should offer to merge the existing data from the device into the computer, otherwise the danger is that it will wipe the information from the device.
If your media folder has been split out from the main iTunes folder you may need to do some preparatory work to make it easier to move. See make a split library portable.
Should you be in the unfortunate position where you are no longer able to access your original library, or a backup of it, then see Recover your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device for advice on how to set up your devices with a new library with the maximum preservation of data. If you don't have any Apple devices then see HT2519 - Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store.

But the parser still complain that the 'title' in slideshow2.dtd is declared
more than once.
I use apache's Xerces.
I want to know if Xereces realy support namespace spec. now, or how to use
the namespace with a parser. Can anyone kindly tell me where to find some
material that demo the use of namespace in Java program.

You have to create stored procedure in SQL only .
Like u must have create for Crystal .
You can execute procedure in query manager but you have to enter parameter manually..

In order to create a structure you need to use the file with convertion mode on the sending communication channel of the file adapter.
check the link for the needed configuration paramters.
If the structure is more complexed you can use the Contetnt master(CM) from itemfield which allows to ceate XML file from complex flat files and more.
