Ranges
A selection table is linked to the column of a database table, or to an internal field in the program. A selection table is an internal table object of the standard table type that has a standard key and a header line.
In addition to selection tables that we create using SELECT-OPTIONS, we can use the RANGES statement to create internal tables that have the structure of selection tables. You can use these tables with certain restrictions the same way you use actual selection tables.
A ranges table type is a special case of a table type. A ranges table type describes the structure of an internal table for administrating complex areas, i.e. the type of an internal table ranges table in the ABAP program.
The row type of a ranges table type has a fixed structure. The row type consists of 4 components SIGN (sign), OPTION (comparison operator), LOW (lower limit) and HIGH (upper limit) in this order.
1. SIGN The database type of SIGN is C with length 1. The contents of SIGN determine for each row whether the result of the row condition is to be included in or excluded from the resulting set of all rows. Possible values are I (inclusion criterion operators are not inverted) and E (exclusion criterion operators are inverted).
2. OPTION The database type OPTION is C with length 2. It contains the selection operator. The following operators are available:-
- If HIGH is empty, we can use EQ, NE, GT, LE, LT, CP, and NP.
- CP and NP are only allowed if wildcards (*' or '+) are used in the input fields.
- If wildcards are entered on the selection screen, the system automatically uses the operator CP. The escape character is defined as #.
- If HIGH is filled, you can use BT (Between) and NB (Not Between). We cannot use wildcard characters.
3. LOW - The data type of LOW is the same as the column type of the database table, to which the selection criterion is linked.
If HIGH is empty, the contents of LOW define a single field comparison. In combination with the operator in OPTION, it specifies a condition for the database selection.
If HIGH is filled, the contents of LOW and HIGH specify the upper and lower limits for a range. In combination with the operator in OPTION, the range specifies a condition for the database selection.
4. HIGH - The data type of HIGH is the same as the column type of the database table, to which the selection criterion is linked. The contents of HIGH specify the upper limit for a range selection.
If the selection table contains more than one row, the system applies the following rules when creating the complete selection criterion:
1. Form the union of sets defined on the rows that have SIGN field equal to I (inclusion).
2. Subtract the union of sets defined on the rows that have SIGN field equal to E (exclusion).
3. If the selection table consists only of rows in which the SIGN field equals E, the system selects all data outside the set specified in the rows.
RANGES tables
We can use the following variants of the TYPES and DATA statements to create internal tables of the same type as selection tables.
TYPES|DATA .
An elementary associated type defines the type of components LOW and HIGH. It can be defined by specifying a data element or by directly defining the data type, number of places and if necessary the number of decimal places.
A ranges table type always has Standard table access mode and a standard key that is non-unique.

Dear All,
I have a requirement to show Long Text of a G/L account , where G/L account is between a given range. But this field is not in select options. I have to show Long Text of this Account, if the field is in a given range. I have tried to use RANGE , but RANGE is not working here. Please help with some sample codes.
Note: The range is too high so I cant use IN operator.

Using Variables in BAM
When creating a Project variable, you can define it as a Business Indicator variable. This allows the variable to be stored in BAM the database.
When you add Business Indicator variable to your process, a column is added to the following BAM database tables:Workload, Task Performance and Process Performance. The name of this column is the Business Indicator name preceded by the prefix "V_".
If you define a business dimension, the workload table contains one row for each possible value of this business dimension present in the process. Each of this rows will show the quantity of instances that match that business dimension.
When you define a measurement business variable the sum of this variable's value for all in flight is stored into workload table. If business dimensions were defined as well, then this sum will be divided into as many rows as business dimension values present in flight instances.
Task performance table stores one row for each instance that completes an activity. Each of these rows contains the value of dimensions and measurements at the time the instance completed the activity.
In a similar way, process performance table stores one row for each instance that gets to the end activity. Each of these rows contains the value of dimensions and measurements at the time the instance completed the whole process.

I have a selection screen with about 8 parameters out of which two are mandatory, i.e. a flag and the date of creation. What I need to do is delete certain entries from a database table based on the parameters input by the user. Now the problem is when i am using the delete statement using where statement..
delete from zinbd_delv where vbeln = vbeln and
posnr = posnr and
lfimg = lfimg and
lfdat = lfdat and
created = created and
status = status.
But suppose the user enters data in only the two mandatory fields and say status = 'X' and created = 'XX/XX/XXXX'. In that case it should delete all the entries from the table where status = X and creation date as specified but since it will find the other parameters as blank it will fail. Can we use range table for this...plz tell me how to do it.i think if you are using parameters then you have to enter the value in that.

I would like to know how to use SNRO to create a daily number range.
We would like to have the following sequence. The first 8 digits are date and the last 2 digits are number sequence. Each day, the last 2 digits will start from 01 again. i.e. <8-digits date><2-digit sequence>

I don't there is a automated way of doing as the dates do NOT follow a numbering sequence. What you can do is to create a number range for getting the last two digits every day and manually concatenate the date with the serial number.
However, as you have to reset the counter every day that might be a issue.

How to query a reporting data source using ranges?
HI guys,
I was looking at the BPM Reporting API available and more specifically the way one can query and search for data, stored in a reporting Data Source.
I can see that there are methods in the API, allowing for a search by concrete field name and value, triggering data with exact or partial match of the specified value (query() and search() methods of ReportingDataSourceManager interface).
However, we need to query using ranges of numbers or dates. Can someone advice how this can be done without creating a method of our own processing the whole data set?
For example, how I can retrieve all data stored since yesterday? am I missing something in the BPM Reporting API? Any suggestions will be much appreciated.

To set it as bridged, you can just setup the wireless settings on it (the same w/ your router) and connect it to a device that you want to connect it with. -

How to use Oracle partitioning with JPA @OneToOne reference?
Hi!
A little bit late in the project we have realized that we need to use Oracle partitioning both for performance and admin of the data. (Partitioning by range (month) and after a year we will move the oldest month of data to an archive db)
We have an object model with an main/root entity "Trans" with @OneToMany and @OneToOne relationships.
How do we use Oracle partitioning on the @OneToOne relationships?
(We'd rather not change the model as we already have millions of rows in the db.)
On the main entity "Trans" we use: partition by range (month) on a date column.
And on all @OneToMany we use: partition by reference (as they have a primary-foreign key relationship).
But for the @OneToOne key for the referenced object, the key is placed in the main/source object as the example below:

From the Oracle documentation: "Reference partitioning allows the partitioning of two tables related to one another by referential constraints. The partitioning key is resolved through an existing parent-child relationship, enforced by enabled and active primary key and foreign key constraints."
How can we use "partition by reference" on @OneToOne relationsships or are there other solutions?

How to use the pps function from JCOP?

I'm trying to use the pps function from JCTerminal (JCOP API: [url http://www.cs.ru.nl/~woj/jcopapi/com/ibm/jc/JCTerminal.html#pps(int, int)]pps function ) to connect my client to a virtual card with a specific protocol (T=0).
But I always got the error: "Protocol and parameter selection not supported by this terminal!"
I've tried to make an ATR that support both protocol : [url http://smartcard-atr.appspot.com/parse?ATR=3b909580811fc7dc]3B 90 95 80 81 1F C7 DC.
I really don't know what value to put in the second parameter (baud rate), I've tried with 150000, which is in the range of the ATR but I'm not sure this is correct. And I could't find any example of it.
I'm also not sure where to put the pps command, the specification say directly after a reset, so I tried this implementation:

I'm using a virtual terminal (windows driver), and I don't see how I could turn off the Auto-pps. I've also tried with a real reader and a card and I have the same error.

But I don't know if only I value of baud-rate is possible in the range. Anyway I just would like to change the protocol, not the baud-rate.

Many moons ago I asked a question here on the forums about how to use filters (specifically a glow filter) on a mobile devices (specifically the iPhone) when using GPU rendering and high resolution.
At the time, there was no answer... filters were unsupported. Period.
Well, Thanks to a buddy of mine, this problem has been solved and I can report that I have gotten a color matrix filter for desaturation AND a glow filter working on the iPhone and the iPad using GPU rendering and high resolution.
The solution, in a nut shell is as follows:
1: Create your display object... ie: a sprite.
2. Apply your filter to the sprite like you normally would.
3. Create a new bitmapdata and then draw that display object into the bitmap data.
4. Put the new bitmapdata into a bitmap and then put it on the stage or do what you want.
When you draw the display object into the bitmapdata, it will draw it WITH THE FILTER!
So even if you put your display object onto the stage, the filter will not be visible, but the new bitmapdata will!
Here is a sample app I created and tested on the iphone and ipad

I currently have a slider which changes the hue of an image in a movieclip, I need it to move through he full range -180 to 180.
I desperately need to get this working on a tablet but cant get the filters to work in GPU mode. My application works too slow in cpu mode.
