How to use RichCopy to copy only files that have changed?

I am using RichCopy to copy files and folders from one system to another on a weekly basis. RichCopy is working fine, but it is copying 100% of the data every time. I am looking for a way to use RichCopy where it will compare files/folders from
the source and only copy what data has changed to the destination. I cannot find the option to do that.
Any help would be greatly appreciated...

RichCopy is not a Windows 7 feature and it is an obsolete utility and there is no support for RichCopy.

Have you run side-by-side metrics on this?
I've run the Delete Object method and your script against similar data sets and yours appears to take a fair bit longer. I'd have to re-run in identical circumstances, a few times, to really say for sure, but my initial impression is that it will take hours
longer.
I guess the point is somewhat moot anyway, as for me the bit that generally takes longest is the actual query, rather than the deletions.
Boy how I wish I could just enter something into the FIM Portal directly that would blast out a bunch of users matching a query. One day...

How can I import XDCAM footage from files that have been taken off the card?

I am trying to log and transfer footage that has been taken off SxS cards and put onto an external hard drive. I've downloaded the Sony plug-ins for my computer, but still can't import anything in Log and Transfer. Can anyone help?

Was THE ENTIRE CARD backed up? Everything? The full card structure? If not, then FCP won't see it...it'll say the directory structure is invalid. IN that case you might need to use the XDCAM TRANSFER UTILITY...separate app that can transcode the footage to QT FCP can use.

I know it's been asked before, but I haven't seen an answer I like. :-)
I have a query that includes a single column the user can update, using APEX_ITEM.TEXT(10, updateable_field, 10, 10)
I have an additional APEX_ITEM.HIDDEN(21) and APEX_ITEM.HIDDEN(22) that hold the two fields of the composite primary key. In order to track whether my updateable_field had changed, I created APEX_ITEM.HIDDEN(11, updateable_field), which I expected would hold the OLD value of the field. See where I'm going with this? :-)
I'm attempting to loop through apex_application.g_f21, get the values for F10 (new) and F11 (old) and compare them. If they're different, I'll do the update.
It works fine if the old value (F11) is empty and I plug in a new value (to F10).
But if I change a field that had already has a value (in F11) and make it NULL, I notice that F11(i) doesn't exist. In that case, I set the value to NULL, and the compare fails because it thinks the row is unchanged.
Can someone suggest or point me to an alternate method that works?

Thanks for the suggestion, which is a good one. But I had that one covered.
I have it working now, and I believe the fix was that I moved the APEX_ITEM.HIDDEN that contained the old value in the query. I'd had it concatenated with the column for the new value (which used APEX_ITEM.ITEM). I changed it to concatenate to a plain string value. And now the array has values in it, which I can properly compare.

there is no way to do that that I know of. but you can extract an icon of a file to another file using command line tool [osxutils|http://sourceforge.net/projects/osxutils]. you can then call the relevant command from apple script using "do shell script".

Assistanttolindsey the Adobe Download Assistant will download the installation files for Adobe Acrobat Professional XI. By default they are saved to your download folder. You can begin the installation process from there.

The software provided for your device does not include OCR functionality
You may use any 3rd part OCR solution to scan as editable text.
If you have Microsoft Office suite there is a good chance the office suite provide this kind of capabilities:

How to go to the location of file that I received on skype? I was able to do it easily in old version.
Now, I recieved the zip file. If I click on the file, it shows the Zip File View. I don't know where that file is downloaded. (of cuz, need to dip where I set the download path.) In old version of Skype, there is a link where we can open the file in windows explorere.
I would suggest that the Skype UX or development team needs to read "Don't make me think" short book.
Update: There are other people who reported the issues in 2013 http://community.skype.com/t5/Modern-Windows-from-Windows/Where-are-the-files-saved-that-someone-sen... Please don't copy all metro skype UI to skype desktop without thinking about usability and royal user expereince. Thanks!

How to find PDF files that have other documents bundeled within them?

I need help with the following: we have a huge number of PDF files that have other documents imbedded (bundled, attached) in them. If such a document is open in Acrobat, bundled files show up as attachments on the left. Some of those attachements are .mdi files. This is Microsoft Document Images files. Is there a way to flag PDF's that have those .mdi files in them? I need to find them and convert to PDF. If I need to be more descriptive please ask, and thank you in advance for help.

Preflight is a complex plugin, it's hard to explain how to use it in one forum post. You need to read the documentation carefully.
There's no pre-built profile for what you want, so you would first create a new Custom Check that compares the MIME type string of embedded files to what you're searching for (not the file extension but the full MIME identifier, which for Office files is a very long string). You would then place that new Custom Check into a new Profile, identifying it as an error condition. Once you've saved the Profile you can run it against a number of files and specify actions to be taken for pass and fail conditions, such as changing the filename or moving to a subfolder.

My team works on a directly on the server with Macs running both Lion and Mountain Lion and Adobe CC. Sometimes InDesign crashes and leaves the file in the open state and renders the file unable to open, copy or duplicate. Previous versions of InDesign would at least allow you to copy the file that it thought was still open. Now with CC you cannot do anything with that file. Even deleting the .lDLK file in the terminal does not release that file. I know that it is a protection, but it is killing files.

Depends how they were transferred. If you used Migration Assistant, a new user was created. Look there in your documents folder. If you used Setup Assistant, look in your documents folder.

First, to access documents you must use an app designed for that specific Document type. So Pages will not be able to open PDFs. The Documents app by Readdle can handle PDFs though. In the latter case, you'd open the app, click the menu icon at its top left, and click Open to go to your iCloud Drive. With Pages, if you had files outside the main Pages folder, click + then iCloud and navigate to the file's location.
