How to use S-VIdeo to SCART lead?

I've just bought a monster S-VIdeo to SCART lead to enable me to watch PC out-put on TV screen. Pluged in but nothing works.
Tried on second TV (all singing/dancing posh one self diagnosing). Still no joy...
Any suggestions apprecaited apart from throwing them both out of window... Do I need any special drivers? If so where?

I dont know which lead you use but I can confirm that using this one http://www.lenexpo-electronics.com/e_italy/i/AdattatoreScartSVHS.jpg it must work well. Be just sure you use right option (OUT or IN).
Be also sure you use right channel (for SCART port). I have tested different adapters with my LCD TV and every of them works without any problems.
You do not need any special driver or any kind software.

Hello, I'm trying to figure out how to use a video's alpha channel to define its hitspace for a button. I would greatly appreciate anyone's help with this.

Currently I'm doing an image sequence inside of a movie, and putting the movie in the button. I hope that's what you're asking. Not sure if I entirely understand your question. (Been a little while since I used the interactive side of Flash)
Anyway if you have a specific process that you personally do that works I'd happily conform to your solution.

I agree with all the advantages of HTML Video. How do you use html video on your iweb site?
I want my iWeb site video to be viewable on iPads.
I have learned the technique to use the HTML Snippet tool in iWeb to successfully post Flash video. I created all of my animations using Kenote's keyframe ability and have exported them to Quicktime and then have converted them into flash with Vertical Moon's Video to SWF. Then simply upload the SWF file to a folder on your idisk, then use the Flash Video insert HTML Snippet and insert the idisk url of the SWF file and you are done. What is the technique for HTML Video?
I have found some HTML video encoders, here are the links:

I have all of the i-Apps and Final Cut Express (2 revs out of date). Can I get the proper HTML video file from these programs, unless I am missing something I don't think so.

Your videos ARE viewable on a iPad. No need for explicit HTML video coding.
If you export your movies to iPhone that's all there is to do. You can do it in QT Pro/iMovie

shajilal, if youre using VZWireless then you would need VZ Access Manager to tether your BB. You also have to make sure that the tethering feature is turned on (paid for).

How to use multiple videos in template

I'm using the Directions HD template in Motion 3 and trying to figure out how to use more than one drop zone. When I drop a video into the first drop zone, it appears in all drop zones. How can I use multiple videos?

Step 1: Find the Drop Zone layer (inside the Video group/folder) and select the Custom behavior and type Command - K (Convert to Keyframes from the Object menu)
Step 2: Duplicate the Drop Zone the number of times you want to be able to change media.
Step 3: For Each drop zone, move the playhead to the position you need to set an In Point; then do the Out Points... I recommend overlapping the Outs and Ins and crossfading using opacity keyframes. [For some of these, this will mean a 1 or 2 frame crossfade... or pick your points for straight cuts. ]
Step 4: Select all the Drop Zones and create a group (Command-Shift-G).
Step 5: Select the "Clone Layer" (it will be unchecked in the Layers List inside the Video group), and drag the newly created group of drop zones into the Source well.
You can mix up the way the background (emitted copy) video plays by clicking the Random Seed button at the buttom of the Emitter > Particle Cell inspector.

I need to use HTML5 video instead of af:media in my adf page inorder to avoid browser plugin request to the end user.
I've placed the video tag in .jsff as below:

Yes. I tried surrounding with f:verbatim tag but still it did not worked.
The actual HTML file when run outside of jdev (i.e., going to the folder and double clicking the .html file) is showing up the video but when the same is run through jdev as a deployment, it doesn't show up.
I'm testing this in Mozilla FF 9.0.1.
If the reference to the video file is incorrect, it shouldn't even show the poster image but I can see the poster image which is also placed in the same location.
I tried placing af:inlineFrame(pointing it to the actual HTML file) inside jsff page, but it did not work.

How to use different video formats in the one timeline?

Hi everyone,
So I am in the middle of stringing together a rough cut for a surf flick/documentary shot in some remote Indonesian islands…
Things so far are going well, but I am slightly confused regarding the best way to tackle a slight issue (hopefully slight!) of video format compatibility.
The main shooting for the film was done with .mov video format and this has been imported/captured into final cut pro 7 using the correct settings, which has now formed the basis for my rough cut.
However, I did a lot of filming with some other cameras (underwater, POV etc) and so also have some crucial footage in different formats that to my knowledge will not be compatible with the timeline that I have already created in FCP.
The files are as following:
AVI
MOD
MP4
I am assuming the best way to go about things is convert all these different files into a compatible form that I can then drop straight into my existing timeline.
Unfortunately, I am just beginning to learn the more techy aspects of editing and I don’t have the first idea of how to go about doing this…?
Any helpful feedback would be greatly appreciated…

Although there are kinds of standard workflows for best quality in final product, it helps to know a bit more about your setup... what is your primary format? Without knowing that, the best way forward is to convert all of your footage to Apple ProRes. Especially the MP4 stuff. There are different ways about doing that, but I personally recommend Compressor. This can take some time depending on the amount and lengths of your shots, but it is well worth the process.
Make sure you choose 48k / 16bit AIF for all of your shots that have audio. If some of your footage is 1080p and some is 720p, I personally leave that alone because when you have this type of a difference in footage, I like to set my sequence to 720p giving me the option to move or pan the 1080p clips inside of the 720p sequence. Final Cut Pro is very good at handling that difference.

How to use Progressive video in aggregated file

I'm using Captivate 5 and have several .swf modules to publish along with their supporting video files (progressive download).
How can I package these into an executable or aggregated output so the videos play? I can't load the videos into the aggregated file, therefore the videos don't play.
It would be great if there was a way to imbed these videos into Captivate, but I don't think that's possible and the company hasn't purchased Flash to use that as an option.
I also can't seem to get a large aggregated or executable file to run. It just has the loader, and doesn't show anything else.
I can chunk it into thrids, but I'm just wondering if there's another way to publish this for use as one file, instead of 13 different modules.
Any ideas or suggestions? Thank You!!!

The Aggregator is designed to be a single standalone file output for several Captivate published projects. It can output as either a single SWF or a single EXE or even a single PDF.
Yes there are issues with trying to encapsulate video files into this package. You might be able to try hosting the videos as F4V format on a streaming host service and then viewing them on one of the slides in your project from inside the EXE. That way the video doesn't have to be packaged with the course in the EXE.

I've chosen the video template for an iBooks Author widget. I bring up the inspector and paste in the youtube URL from the embed code (with "http:" part). iAd Producer clears out the link once I click away. Is this type of video not compatible with iAd Producer?

The YouTube URL is not a link to a raw video but to YouTube's wrapper (usually some kind of web page or iframe). If you paste in a link to a raw video – something that ends with .mp4, .m4v or .mov – it will work.
If you really want all of the YouTube skinning, use a full-screen HTML widget and paste the URL inside that. Here's an example of the code snippet that embeds a video of the recent lunar impact:

How to use the video control buttons on YouTube with voice over

I have a Macbook Pro and since I am totally blind I use the voice over. I am watching YouTube videos but I can't access the buttons at the bottom of the screen. I can't play/pause the videos or use the slider. I ca't use any of those buttons. Is there sometihng I am missing here?

As far as I know only the Xbox 360 could be connected to a Qosmio and could be used with the Windows MCE.

How do I know I am using my video credits on iTunes and not money from my account?

I was given 2 video credits for another iTunes inconvience but was not told how to use the video credits when buying my items. If anyone knows how to use the credits before the money on the account I would appreciate it.

Just buy a video and the credits will be used. Generally speaking video credits will be for the particular type of video you had trouble with and usually don't apply to movie purchases.
