How to use 'several screen function' used to be in os x 10.6

hi ! ^^
how r u ? good !
how to use 'several screen function' used to be in os x 10.6 ??
it was possible to change whole screen with 'command + arrow keys' (option + arrow keys maybe ??)
but, in os x 10.7, it seems it is not possible. and instread of it 'mission controls' that is not uesful ..
no windows drive direct access. no several screen function. crash when control panel ask me administration right.
os x 10.5 or 10.4 was much easy to control.
plz fix and add good functions of 10.6 , remove good functions is not called 'upgrade'.

You can still do it with CONTROL + Arrow keys, the same as 10.6

    open the apidocs for the Robot class
    read the methods - you won't get far when one of the methods will stand out
    if you can't get it working, copy the method name and paste it into the 'search forums' box,

  • How to use Print Screen function (part deux)?

    The previous thread for the Print Screen function has been marked as read only, and won't allow any replies. I tried all of the suggestions (PrtScr, CTRL + C + PrtScr, etc.) and then CTRL V into MS Paint, but Print Screen still doesn't work on my machine.
    I'm running Win 7 on a HP Pavilion laptop cv7-6b32us. I suspect there's a switch somewhere in Win 7 or HP that allows the key to be turned off. I know of this because my previous employer did not want anyone doing print screens due to HIPAA violations. Thus, the functionality was turned off. Those of us in I.T. were provided a third-party software that aloowed us to do the same function, but it was not released to the physicians or nursing staff. If I have to, I'll go out and buy the software. I really need this functionality for a class I'm taking.
    Thanks!

  • How to use Print Screen function?

    I've seen various descriptions of how to use the print screen function.
    It would be nice to actually be told one that works.  None have worked for me.
    [Fn] and Prt SCr does not work.
    Ctrl and Prt SCr does not work.
    Ctrl, Alt, and Prt SCr does not work.
    [Fn], Ctrl, and Prt SCr does not work.
    If anyone knows the correct method of activating the print screen function that would be good.
    From the looks of things HP has a big problem with this function.

    On my notebook, the Insert key and the prt sc key are the same key, but the prt sc has a ring, around it, if you know what I mean.
    On the bottom left of my keyboard is a key that has fn with a ring around it, or I guess you could say it is in a little box.  By the way, there are a number of keys that have two functions on them, and to activate the second function, you must press the fn key at the same time as the desired function on the key.  In this case press the  fn key and  the prt scr key, and that puts an image of the screen on the clip board and then it can be pasted into Word or where ever.
    Here is somethine else you might like, if you can get it to work as I described above.
    To print only the active window, and not the entire desktop or the entire screen, you can do that by pressing the alt and prt sc at the same time.  Then it only captures to the clip board the window, and not the entire desktop. Oh, and in the scenario with the fn key, it has to be pressed also, so actually it's pressing the fn and alt and print screen all at once.
    I just performed each of the instructions above, and they worked well on my EliteBook 8440.
    Hopefully you have the same experience,

  • How to blank laptop screen when using external monitor/

    Hi there
    I need some help with figuring out how to configure my xorg.conf for my Arch Linux 64 bit installation on a HP Pavilion dv 5000 laptop so that I can automatically blank my laptop screen when using an external monitor.  I have Arch Linux installed along with Ubuntu Feisty.  In Ubuntu my external monitor (Viewsonic 1912WB) was not detected at the time of installation but with the native 1280X800 resolution that is good for the laptop takes effect for the external monitor automatically when the external monitor is plugged in.  The laptop monitor goes blank when the external monitor is plugged in.
    In my Arch Linux installation I have not been able to configure a dual head configuration using the ATI Radeon drivers (fglrx).  I have the native 1280X800 resolution set up for the laptop monitor and this resolution takes effect for the external monitor also.  However the laptop monitor also continues to function when the external monitor is plugged in.  I would like to blank the laptop monitor when using the external monitor.
    I am attaching my Arch Linux xorg.conf and the Ubuntu xorg.conf below.  Thanks for anyone who can help, I am having a lot of difficulty in figuring out how to set up xorg.conf among all the things that I have had to learn so far in Linux and I am a relative newcomer to the whole thing. I have tried to compare the two xorg.conf files and edit my Arch xorg.conf in accordance with the Ubuntu one but it did not work and I keep getting errors!
    I am using XFCE as my Desktop environment.

    Xrandr 1.2 provides means for this. But today the only supported configuration is xorg-server-1.3 + xf86-video-intel-2.0. So for Radeon you'll have to wait for drivers that support Randr 1.2.
    On my laptop (Thinkpad x60s) that would be:
    xrandr --output VGA --auto
    xrandr --output LVDS --off

  • How to implement a callback function using LabView's Call Library Function Node?

    I am trying to call a fuction from a SDK.dll library using the Call Library Function Node. The SDK was provided to
    me and I do not have the source code, just the .dll and .h files.
    The SdkSetPropertyEventHandler function has a callback fuction as one of its parameters. How do I implement the
    callback using the CLF node? I am a good LabView programmer but this is my first time using the Call Library
    Function Node. I have read all the info I can find on NI's web site and the discussion board but cannot figure
    this one out. I am using LabView 8.6.
    The SDK.h deacribes the function as:
    //  Function:   SdkSetPropertyEventHandler
    SdkError SDKAPI SdkSetPropertyEventHandler(
                SdkCameraRef                    inCameraRef,
                SdkPropertyEvent                inEvnet,
                SdkPropertyEventHandler         inPropertyEventHandler,
                SdkVoid*                        inContext );
    //  Description:
    //       Registers a callback function for receiving status
    //          change notification events for property states on a camera.
    //  Parameters:
    //       In:    inCameraRef - Designate the camera object.
    //              inEvent - Designate one or all events to be supplemented.
    //              inPropertyEventHandler - Designate the pointer to the callback
    //                      function for receiving property-related camera events.
    //              inContext - Designate application information to be passed by
    //                      means of the callback function. Any data needed for
    //                      your application can be passed.
    //      Out:    None
    //  Returns:    Any of the sdk errors.
    A separate header file called SDKTypes.h contains the following data:
    typedef  SdkUInt32  SdkPropertyEvent;
    typedef  SdkUInt32  SdkPropertyID;
    typedef  void       SdkVoid;
    typedef  struct __SdkObject*    SdkBaseRef;
    typedef  SdkBaseRef    SdkCameraRef;
     SdkPropertyEventHandler
    typedef SdkError ( SDKCALLBACK *SdkPropertyEventHandler )(
                        SdkPropertyEvent        inEvent,
                        SdkPropertyID           inPropertyID,
                        SdkUInt32               inParam,
                        SdkVoid *               inContext );
    Thanks for your help.

    Basically you do not do that. LabVIEW does not know pointers and certainly not function pointers. What you should do instead is writing a C DLL that implements the callback and also exports a function to be called by LabVIEW that translates between the callback and a LabVIEW user event. Look for PostLVUserEvent() here on the NI site to find examples how to do that.

  • How can I create a function using TestStand variables and call it from a step's Pre-Expression?

    In one sequence I have dozens of Pre-Expressions which are almost the same thing, like this...
    Locals.tagID = (Parameters.singlePhaseEnabled ? "L" : "D") & Str(Locals.phase) & "006"
    ...and the only thing different is that three digit string at the end ("006" will vary). How can I write a function that I can call from a step's Pre-Expression so it would look something like this? ...
    Locals.tagID = MyNewFunction("006")

    You cannot write custom commands for expressions.
    That being said, there are a couple of options:
    Create a subsequence with a single step. Use a parameter of the sequence as "function parameter".
    Create a custom step type including a substep module which implements the function. Add an edit substep to enable the user of the steptype to gracefully change the parameter.
    Store the variable parameter in a local/file global variable and modify the value in each step. This will, at least, keep the "function" the same for every step.

  • How to combine several short movies using a single theme

    I have several completed short movies I'd like to combine with a single theme allowing the various movies to function as chapters. Some of the movies were completed totally in iMovie 6. Others were edited in iMovie 8 or 9, then transferred to iMovie 6 for music. My operation system is version 10.5.7. I also have the "Missing Manuals" for iMovie & DVD 6, 8 & 9, but can find no help in them for my question. Can this be done?
    Virg

    Unfortunately, iMovie doesn't allow concatenation of multiple projects into one (feature request for iM10!)... One workaround that I use, is to render the QT files using the Export option, and then use QT Pro to concatenate the individual movies. You can re-import the final movie back into iMovie (any version) to do any further edits.
    Here's a great demo on how to use QT to merge movies: http://web.me.com/jrwalker4/QuickNotes/QTPro/QTPro.html

  • How to access Call Back Functions using *.dll in the Labview?

    Hai,
    I am Pavan Ram Kumar Somu.
    I am new to Labview, currently I am working on MVB Interface.
    I need to access the API functions from *.dll file in Labview, as of now , I am doing this with Call function Library node in Labview but it does not support the following data types like
        1. Pointer Arguments(To which memory it points in Labview)
        2. function pointers Arguments
        3 .pointers in structures and pointer structures in structures and many other data types.
    Please Answer the below queries also:

        return types from API functions in DLL
    2. How to pass structure arguments to API functions in DLL and how to collect structure
        return types from API functions in DLL
    3. How to use callback functions(nothing but function pointers) in Labview and how to
        collect callback fuctions return types from API functions in DLL
    I need your help while passing these datatypes to API functions in DLL from labview.
    Suggest me if there is any other alternative for implementing this task.
    I am referencing some examples here:
    Examples:

    Search the forum (forums.ni.com) for callback, pointer or handle, and you'll find that it is all possible, but not very easy.

  • How to use the update function using oracle eway

    Hi All,
    I have to update one column in the table i.e table1 using the oracle eway otd for which I have written the code like below.
    otdRISKBLOCKVALUES.getRISKBLOCKVALUES().setBALANCE_AMOUNT( bd );
    otdRISKBLOCKVALUES.getRISKBLOCKVALUES().update( sUpdate );
    As show above Iam setting the value to the setbalance_amount method and later calling the update method passing the where condition through the string sUpdate.
    But Iam getting an error as shown below.

    could any one Pl.thow some input on this.
    Thanks & regards in Advance
    Srikanth

    Hi,
    You need to specify the row you want to update first.
    The following code is taken from an example in the Oracle eway user guide:
    otdOracle_1.getDb_employee().update( "WHERECLAUSE" );
    while (otdOracle_1.getDb_employee().next()) {
       otdOracle_1.getDb_employee().setLAST_NAME( "Krishna" );
       otdOracle_1.getDb_employee().setFIRST_NAME( "Kishore" );
       otdOracle_1.getDb_employee().updateRow();
    }Replace WHERECLAUSE with the desired condition.
    Hope it helps
    Gustavo

  • How do I call a function using local connection?

    I have 3 Flash banners on 1 page that run through a synched animation together. At the end of the animation, there is a replay button in each of the 3 banners. I want the replay button when clicked in any of the banners to call a replay function in all 3 banners. Is there any easy way to do this? Using localconnection?
    The banners are already using a local connection for the syching of the animation, if that helps.
    Thanks!
    Elliott

    I take it back... I figured it out. I just needed to paste the function below into each of the other banners...
    Thanks! :-P

  • How Can implement the audit function using toplink?

    My system must record all the modification, how can I use toplink to implement it.
    I know when toplink modify some object, the toplink will check how many attribute
    have been modified, and then update it to database, Can I implement the record when
    the toplink check modification?
    PS: I dont want to use database trigger.
    Thank first!!

    This thread has been inactive for a while, so perhaps I'm missing something. I am attempting to create audit events on domain objects using a TopLink 10.1.3 DescriptorEventAdapter.
    These audit events mutate or create a snapshot collection on the domain object. Based on what I understand from the above thread, do I still need to create another UoW to commit these in my preInsert()/preCreate() handler methods?
    Is there a way to get in the game before the IDs are assigned to the objects and the change set is computed?
    I certainly don't claim to fully understand the historical client session docs. However, one of our requirements is to show object-attribute-level deltas (list chronologically, grouped by transaction, the attributes that have changed, who changed them, etc. with their before and after values). So my first-blush reaction is that it's easier to utilize the change set to create a collection of transactionally-grouped audit objects on the domain.
    Thanks much,

  • How to implement this planning function using Fox formula

    Hello,
    I am new to Fox.
    I want to implement this complex logic in a planning function
    i have A (Kf X from infoprovider Z_A), B (Kf Y from infoprovider Z_B) & moreover there is one more condition,
    If current FISCPER > variable value of FISCPER
    KF Z = KF Z1 (from Cube C1)
    Else KF Z = KF Z2 (from Cube C2).
    for a particular calender week,
    X =   ( Y * Z ) / (summation of (Y * Z)  for each week of the whole year)
    I know it is complex.
    but i have to implement this in a planning function.
    The aggreagtion level is built on a multiprovider having A, B , C1 & C2.
