How to use the iCloud password update on an iMac?

I have changed my password for iCloud and my iMac keeps telling me that i will have to reset the password through the app.com website. I have done this three times and the iMac still does not update my password. So i am thinking that i will have to reset my computer, is this a good option, if so
how do i do this?

Unfortunately Apple has not (yet) implemented a resolution independent GUI. This means that the only way to change the size of text overall is to change the resolution of the display - System Preferences > Displays. The problem with this is that LCDs have one resolution that's native. Changing the resolution of your display will make the font larger but it will tend to redult in a fuzzy display. However it is worth playing with since iMacs generally do have more than one resolution that works without fuzziness. Whether any of them will meet your needs is another story.
But as you found with Safari, it is possible to change the resolution of individual applications. While we cannot change the native resolution of the menubar and some aspects of an application, we can change some of them. For example, I have Word & Excel configured to automatically display file contents at 150%. Not all programs offer this capability but many do.

Basically you are asking as how to port silverlight to Xaml (RT). Go one by one converting each API from silverlight to XAML, like IsolatedStorage isn't there in RT, so look for its alternative etc.

Can anyone point me to a tutorial or posting which explains how to use the keyboard?
I have an iMac (sep2009) with a wired keyboard including numeric keypad and there are keys that I just do not know how to use
eg:
How do I put FUNC LOCK on so that when I using Excel the F2 key becomes EDIT CELL rather than adjusting the brightness
What do the keys below the F14 and F15 keys do? There is an angled arrow up and left and ne down and right. and there is an arrow up with two lines crossing it a,d another similar one down. What are we supposed to sue these for?
Under the F16 key there is a box with a cross through it. What does that do?
WHy are F5 and F6 blank?
What does the big key on the very right bottom do?
I would have thought that there would be a MAC101 guide to the keyboard but I cannot find it... Any help from out here?

I just loaded the UK Apple store and compared the keyboards to the ones at the US store. I guess since you are so "international" over there, you get pictures instead of words. My guess would be Home, End, Page Up and Page Down

I think Apple thinks based on where you live, you understand pictures instead of words. Probably cheaper to make one keyboard than ones for each language.

You have to sign out completely and then sign back in.
On a Mac, System Preferences>iCloud and click 'Sign out'.
On an iOS device, Settings>iCloud and click 'Delete account' (this will not delete the account from the server).
Your synced data will disappear from your devices when you sign out, but reappear when you sign back in (give it time).

You should never lose contacts under any circumstances.
Although contacts are included with the iPhone's backup, contacts are designed to be synced with a supported address book app on your computer where such important data should be available with or without an iPhone or any cell phone. Not a good idea to depend on a cell phone for such important data which can be lost or stolen or damaged beyond repair.
In addition, there are a number of free email accounts that support syncing contacts over the air including an iCloud account, Gmail, Yahoo, and Hotmail.
If you are not syncing contacts over the air with an iCloud account and not backing up your iPhone wirelessly with your iCloud account, your iPhone's backup is being updated by iTunes on your computer which is updated as the first step during the iTunes sync process.
With Windoze, contacts can be synced with Outlook 2003, 2007, or 2010 along with syncing calendar events, notes, and reminders, or with the address book app used by Outlook Express and by Windows Mail called Windows Contacts for syncing contacts only. With a Mac, contacts can be synced with the Address Book app. This is selected under the Info tab for your iPhone sync preferences with iTunes.
If the supported address book app on your computer is not used and has no contacts available, before the first sync for this data enter one contact in the supported address book app on your computer. This will provide a merge prompt with the first sync for this data, which you want to select.

I have the same problem - it is maddening. I rely on this iPad for work so this is not just an annoyance! The above solutions of changing the appleid on the device or on the website do not work.
The old email address no longer exists - I haven't used it in a year probably and I no longer have the account. I logged into the appleid website and there is no trace of the old email address so there is nothing that can be deleted or changed there. On the iPad there is no trace of the old email address so nothing can be deleted there either. I have updated the iPad software and the same problem comes right back. Every 2 seconds I am asked to log in using the old non-existent email. The device is currently useless.
The only recent change to anything was the addition of an Apple TV device, which was set up using the correct login and password.
Does anyone have any ideas? The iPad has been backed up to the iCloud so presumably it now won't recognize the current iCloud account? So restoring may notbe an option?

Your device can hold apps from multiple IDs, but to update them you have to swicth identities which is time consuming. If possible use only the one ID. If you need to reset the password for your old ID visit My Apple ID.

I have/had the same problem, just started this morning. I tried a system restore to a known good date. I still had the problem so I rolled restored the system to the latest.
Thinking that it might have something to do with priviliges, I reviewed my user account and noticed it was set to "Administrator". On a whim, I switched my user account from administrator to "standard user" and I'll be... the issue dissapeared. I have no idea why. But I thought I'd pass it along.
