How to use the pathfinder suite

Question

Could anybody give me an example of using the pathfinder suite.
I need to use the DoDivideEffect function inside a plugin and I don't know how to initialize the AIPathfinderData and the AIFilterMessage structures.
I have read the sdk documentation but I need a concrete example. The Adobe documentation is very poor.
Please, help me…

I tried but I did not succeed.
In fact, the function I need is DoIntersectEffect and not DoDivideEffect, but the parameters are the same.
I have an art object and a circle in the background. I want to obtain a new art which is the intersection between the original art and the circle.
I tried this but I have no visible result.
