How to use the scan option with a Kyocera FS-1320MFP ?

Hello,
is it possible to use the scanner function on a Kyocera 1320MFP with Mac OS X 10.6, or with Mac OS X 10.8 ? Kyocera doesn't specify this combination in their support pages. Statements are welcome!

This is a solution I found somewhere googling deep and took a note to myself. The IP are used for my network you should change them with yours. Sorry I did not save the source, but this worked for me:
Kyocera MFP 1128
SYSTEM PREF -> SHARING
-File Sharing ON
add folder you choose, i used "/users/username/scannerdata"
folder permission for my username READ&WRITE
-Remote Login ON
ALL USERS or your username
GENERAL NOTES
Hostname drawn from Ip address given in "File Sharing" tab without afp://192.168.10.38/ so 192.168.10.38
mac: 192.168.2.242
Port: 21
open terminal:(spotlight terminal.app)
paste the below text
sudo -s launchctl load -w /System/Library/LaunchDaemons/ftp.plist
enter password,
type exit.
press enter.close window.
SYSTEM PREF -> NETWORK -> ADVANCED -> PROXIES -> Ftp Proxy
FTP Proxy Server
192.168.10.38: 21
username : my username
password: my password
use passive FTP Mode = ON
ON PRINTER: (its easiest to use the web browser - generic passwors id admin00, the address book, create user)
host 192.168.10.38
port: 21
path: /users/username/scannerdata
username: my username
password: my password
