My Wife and I both have 80 Gig iPods. We like different Music. How can we both use the same Windows XP computer and have different music lists?

I'm not sure what you mean by this but the update option "automatically update selected playlists only" would allow you to create a one or more playlists specifically for each iPod and drag the tracks you want into them. If you tire of the list and want to change it, you just add or remove the songs you don't want. The ones you take out out remain in the library to be used by the other iPod. Make your playlist a Smart playlist and limit the size to just below the advertised capacity of your iPod Nano (around 1800MB for a 2G). You can read more about playlists at these links:

Or of course you could set one or both iPods to "manually manage songs and playlists" and drag whatever you like to them. -
Details needed for using two hard drives with one iTunes library
I posted this under the iTunes section but now that I think of it, it's more of an Apple TV question since I'm only concerned about how it affects my 2 ATVs.
I have a MacMini(G4) that acts as a media server for our 2 ATVs. I use one library on the Mini which has been using an external 750GB drive. However, I'm at nearly 95% capacity now and want to invest in another external drive and use both. So the question I posted on the iTunes section was...
"With far too much content in iTunes (mostly for the Apple TVs) and after reading numerous posts about using external hard drives with iTunes I'm convinced that using two external drives is my best solution.
However, I did want to understand a bit more about the details of how iTunes will manage or at least keep track of, the media. Specifically, I'm thinking of the case were I add a movie to iTunes library (of course it will not copy the file into the iTunes folder).
What will occur if I later change any of the tags for the movie (e.g., name, genre, year, etc.). Will iTunes update this information and then update the Apple TVs once they resync with the iTunes library?"
So for the very knowledgeable folks here on the ATV section, what exactly does iTunes do in this case? Will my genres be updated correctly if I change something even though the content is not copied to the iTunes folder?If you want to use two external drives to store your itunes content, there are a couple of ways you could go about it.
You could choose to have just movies (for example) on one HDD and everything else on the other. You could further choose to have your itunes music folder on one HDD and have all content copied to it by default. When it comes to movies (in this example) you can place these on your second HDD and add them to itunes by using OPT-drag, which will temporarily disable itunes from copying the file to your itunes library.
You could also entirely disable disable itunes copying files to your itunes music folder from the itunes preferences and manually manage all your content.
Personally I'd just buy a 2 TB (for example) drive and ebay your old drive once you have moved everything from it to your new one. -

Main windows in page windows allow you to format text in multiple columns. Define an area in the page window, in which to position the main windows.
Here is the procedure !!

how can i sync my iPod with new iTunes on new computer without losing my old library? There is no backup iTunes/iPod files available.
If you connect your ipod to your computer then look in the hidden folder labeled "iPod_Control" . (This is on a Mac version, but i think it's the same for Windows) and in "Music" is all your music mixed up in different folders. Just drag the MUSIC folder onto itunes then BAM! It's done ;D

Using 2 iPods with one iTunes account.
I share a computer with someone who also has a iPod and we have one version of iTunes downloaded. Although we have seperate user names iTunes seems to autosync what she's put in the library to my iPod and vise-versa. We would love to share some of the files that we pay for, but we certainly don't want to share everything. Is the best option for us to just sync our files manuelly instead of auto-syncing?

Just to summarise what's in the link above which is a little out of date:
Method one is to have individual Mac or Windows user accounts which by definition would give you completely separate iTunes Music folders and libraries.
Method two is to set your preferences so that any or all of iPods get updated with only certain playlists within one library:

Choosing the update option "Sync Music - Selected playlists" allows you to create a playlist specifically for each iPod and drag the tracks you want into it. Using two apple IDs on one Itunes account
I recently purchases a ipad for my 86 year old mother. I want to also add music to it that I have cd's for. She now has an Apple ID of her own and I have my own Apple ID. The problem is this, when I log out of my itunes account and log in as her, I can still see all my music library as her. How do I see NOTHING under her account, until I actually load in music for her. Then can i sync her ipad using my OWN Mac and have it appear on her ipad? I have not enabled home sharing at all. Apple says:
"An Apple ID is a user name you use for everything you do with Apple. Creating an account for an Apple service, such as the iTunes Store or the App Store, creates an Apple ID. Thus an Apple ID is the same as the iTunes account.
Did you mean can yu use more than one Apple ID on one iPod because yuo know the answr is yes.

Method one is to have two Mac or Windows user accounts which by definition would give you two completely separate libraries. Method two is more what you are after where you set your preferences so each iPod is updated with only certain playlists within one library.
