How to use web service in ECC 6.0

Hi.
I found some WSDL in "SDN ES Workplace".
Anybody know how to use this WSDL ?
For example, I want to use 'Query Sales Order' web service and I found WSDL in "SDN ES Workplace".
What's next step to use this web service ?

Link provided for mySAP ERP Enterprise Service Package ECC-SE 600, does not work. My company is SAP customer and I am SDN member.
Do I need some special login or membership to download ES packages?
I also understand that I can access the Enterprise Service from the ES Workplace (implementation) and for that I have to Apply For an Account. I applied for an account at this link https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/esareg .
After applying for an Account should be getting an email with user Id/password OR I can use the my Service Market Place ID?
Tried entering the my service market place Id, does not work.

For you question you want to get data from data base using web service connection. Here I can give you some suggestions
1.Write a web service to retrieve data from data base, then use Xcelsius u201Cweb service connectionu201D under u201CManage Connectionu201D section to consume the service and get the data from data base to spread sheet.
2.Xcelsius also provide you a tool to generate web service with easy way (without coding). (Suggested)

How to use web service consumer as a source to connect to Salesforce?

I see a lot of articles and mapping xmls on how to use web service consumer but as a newbie I am not able to view the object schema from my salesforce enterprise WSDL after importing it in Informatica designer as a source. My enterprise wsdl has operations like create, retrieve, upsert, delete etc so if I want to read data from account then could someone guide me on how to use the web service consumer to view the fields after importing the wsdl. After importing the wsdl and selecting the operation say create, the columns (ports) displayed shows different groups but it doesn't list the object fields? what am I missing here? And what is the operation to read data from Salesforce is it "retrieve" from the entripse wsdl? As a newbie on this, I appreciate any inputs on this topic.

How to use web services in JSF app

I am unsure if this is the right forum for this question. Let me know if it is not - and where I should go.
Anyways, I'm building a JSF web app, in which there is a datatable page displaying some business data. The app is going to be deployed and run in the customer's web server, but the data to be displayed is from the business solution provider's database. Currently the provider supplies web services to retrieve the data. So, my task is to call these web services from my JSF page, get and display the data.
I've never used web services before. Can someone give me a quick start, as what I need to know to use these web services, and how to use them in coding terms. I googled the web quite a bit and finally decided to turn to SDN forum.

How to use Web services

hi all
In my project reserch I have to make a simple user interface for any simple web service. If anybody can help how can I get a free tool to use web services. I am able to find some free small web services on www.xmethods.net but not able to find any tool to use it. It wil be great help is anyone can help about this.

Programming is not required. It will list all available services for you.

Issue: SOAMANAGER using Web service in ECC 6.0

I created a WebService in SAP ECC6.0 using a Remote enabled function module which has one input field and Six output fields.
In ECC 6.0 WSCONFIG,WSADMIN and LPCONFIG Tcodes are obsolete .So i have using tcode SOAMANAGER settings like Applications and Scenario Communications->Single Service Administrater-> link i have searched my newly created Webservice ->Apply settings ->Open Web Service navigator for selected binding -> getting URL and XML code on that..
Let me know any configuratons or authorizatio in my SOAMANAGER to test WS.or How to setup the WSNAVIGATOR for this scenario.

Hi,
if you have created WS for RFC FM then and you just want to test it then you can use program ESD_TEST_TOOL.
execute this program and provide the WS name. it willl show request tab. you will have button XML editor. click it and provide the input value and then execute it.
The test result will be displayed in Response tab.

Hi,
If you have a webservice ready with you then you can generate a proxy from SE80 and you can use that. You just have to create a port and assign to that generated proxy(CLASS) and you are good to go.

Crawling is part of the CAS, which is kind of the data ingest process in Endeca as you would know. There are a bunch of OOTB Crawlers available like FileSystem based, XML Crawlers, etc., and there could be a case where you have to write your own and thats what I am suggesting because the XML crawl thats OOTB expects a specific format which isnt really mentioned in the Documentation. Please refer to CASDevGuide for more information. CAS, PlatformServices and ToolsAndFrameworks should be running when you start off with Endeca, you can see that from
ps -ef | grep java
on your machine

IView created by me currently uses some web services whose url behavior is static but i want to give a dynamic url behavior. i.e. i want to use the url which user provides. So here are my questions
1. How I shall assign the url supplied by the user to IView?
2. If I want to set some config variables during runtimes how I shall do it?

1. I'm guessing you mean the webservice's url the user provides is pointing to an identical webservice to what you used to create your proxy... otherwise I think it will be very hard to do (I can imagine creating the proxies using the wsdl tool in run time or using code dome.. but that can't be what you want, right?).
So if what you wanted is to use the same web service with a different url, then the web service's proxy class you created has API for doing this in code! (it inherits it)
2. you can't, simply since the portal application doesn't ever use the config file... it isn't even deployed to the portal... so dynamic properties are "out of the question" here, sorry... see 1 again

I think you need to write the code for this from scratch (built on top of existing HTTP functionality). There may be open-source J2ME code you could use. I've never tried this so I'm afraid I don't know any more. But maybe that is what you were asking... i.e. does anyone have code that does this already...

Problem consuming Web Service from ECC 6.0 using dual certificates

Hi, I am trying to consume a secure web service on ECC 6.0 - so far without much luck.
When I try to connect to the ws server, it seems there are three certificates in action: a CICS certificate for establishing the SSL connection, a 'root' certificate from the PKI certificate issuer, and a private certificate issued by the above issuer (please forgive me if a have the syntax wrong - certificates are not my primary line of work). So, using Trust Manager (STRUST), I have created a PSE named 'OES' and imported all three certificates into it.
In SOAMANAGER I have set up the end-point using the WSDL-file and set the following parameters:
- Authentication Method = X.509 Client Certificate
- Trustworthiness Method = Holder of Key
- Issuer = <issuer from the root certificate>
- Name of Attester = <blank>
- Validity of SAML Assertion = 180
- Caching of SAML Assertions = False
- Attester System Destination = <blank>
- Name of Attester = <blank>
- User = SRxxxWS
- Password = <blank>
- Client PSE = OES
When I try to consume the web service, I can see in the log files that the CICS certificat is used for establishing the SSL connection but all I receive back is an HTTP 403 "Client Authentication Error". If I remove the CICS certificate from the PSE, the connection is not made.
How do I make the client certificate available for the connection? Have I approached the problem from the wrong side? Has anybody experienced something similar? Any help will be highly appreciated.
