How to validate date between Header and Detail Block..

Hi All,
I was trying to find a way where, suppose I enter 'from date' and 'to date' in the header block.then in detail block all 'from dates' and 'to dates' should be restricted between the dates entered in the header block.

Or U Can Simply set in the child item lowest / highest Allowed Value
Invoke Property pallete for child date item and set the following
lowest Allowed Value :header.from_date (must be prefix with :)
Highest Allowed Value :header.to_date

    It is not possible to do what you propose (sync data from an 11.5.7 system to a 12.0.4 system). You will need to re-run the upgrade against the August 1 data, following your original upgrade procedures.

    Try these approaches and see if that works.
    1. In the Header Section, you header footer shell and add a Header Portlet. This Header Portlet associated JSP file will have all static content in the top section. In the bottom section, add these 3 links say to right hand corner. Show these links only based on some request property like isHome. Now for the main book having Home and other page associate a BackingFile. Within this backing file in the lifecycle methods like preRender or handlePostBack, get instance of BookManager and all the pages and see which page is Active. For that active page check its page definition label which will be always unique. IF the page def label is like home_page_def (this is page def label you give for home page), then set the key value in the request property like isHome=true. By only doubt is after Book backingfile is triggered, the header has to be reloaded, because only then it can pick up the request attributes.
    2. Create a brand new portlet like HomePageLinks portlet. Make its Title Property Not Visible, and other user interface properties like NoBorder, NoTheme etc. The associated JSP will have the 3 links you mentioned right aligned. You can use css styles to make it right etc. Now drop this portlet in the Header Shell area. You already have HeaderPortlet in the top, below that you will have this HomePageLinks portlet. Now associate a backing file for this Portlet to show, only if the Books current active page is Home page by comparing the def label etc as mentioned above.
    In both scenarios, only concern is when we click on different Pages, the entire portal has to be rendered right from the Top Header. Only then the backing file will set the key, and the HomePageLinks portlet can show or hide accordingly.
    Try firing an Event when the Home page is clicked. This listener for this Event can be the HomePageLinks Portlet. I guess Event mechanism should work irrespective of where the portlet is placed. In the event listner, see if you can show/hide this portlet.
    The only challenge is Header section needs to reloaded everytime you click on a Tab.
    Start putting some backing files and System.out.printlns to see if the Header section gets reloaded on click on any Tabs.
    These are just my thoughts over the top of my head. Other forum users can have better alternatives or a different version of above approaches.

    U havent mentioned what exactly ur P3 system is.
    Considering it to be Primavera P3 system, the integration could not be done directly using a BAPI since the structure of Projects (as well as the rules to define the projects) are different in SAP and Primavera P3.
    Thats y XI is required. U have to use Idoc/RFC interfaces. Have a look about what Primavera wants to say about this integration

  • How to validate non commited items in detail block.

    Hi All,
    I have a Detail block with 10 rows and 2 columns. the select of items is based on LOV. If i select One item in one row, then the user cannot select the same item again in other rows. either I need to not show the selected item in LOV or I need to raise form trigger failure and ask him to change values. This is to be done before commiting the items. Can anyone, please suggest me some way or triggers I can use.

    If the process is done by a key-commit trigger or a when button-pressed trigger then it is simple . But if there is no such trigger then you should create it because it is more convenient to make controls inside key-commit rather than in pre-update or pre-insert because these triggers do not accept restricted built-ins.
    To validate your items just loop through the list of records and compare the values to the one you are on. Then if there are no match then you go to the next record to search for.
    Something like this :

  • Need to skip page break between header and Detail sections

    Hello,
    I am combining two reports in one report (one in header section and another report in the body section). when this report is run, there's a page break between these two sections. Is it possible to eliminate it? Ideally I would like the detail section to start as soon as the header section of the report is completed in the same page instead of starting (detail section report) in a new page.

  • How to syncronize data between resource and IdM?

    I created a form (assign to proxy administrator) for reconciliation, and it gets executed when I imported new user into IdM through full reconciliation. In this way I can assign email of user to waveset.email.
    But later when the email gets updated in resource directly, how can I propagate the new value to IdM (without activeSync). By running a full reconciliation again doesn't seem to re-run the proxy administrator's form. I always thought full reconciliation would do the trick, but only now I realize it does not work at all !!?
    What should I do then to synchronize the data?

    Recon was not really designed to automatically synchronize attributes. Typically, this is implemented via ActiveSync. With that said, there is an option in Recon to "Attribute-Level Reconciliation". This allows you to provide a list of resource attributes to watch and if there is a change, Recon calls a workflow, where you can execute any changes you would like.
    I believe this workflow is called "Audit Native Change To Account Attributes". Look at wfrecon.xml located in /sample.

    Can you post a screenshot?
    This can be achieved if you are repeating column headers on each page. Just change row height of header and align text to bottom, and make sure there is no space between Page Header and Tablix.

  • How to Reconcile Data Between SAP Source Systems and SAP NetWeaver BI

    I just read "How to Reconcile Data Between SAP Source Systems and SAP NetWeaver BI".  While I'm waiting for  more authorisation to r/3 to carry it out and test this functionality.
    I'd like to ask a question to anyone who has implemented this type solution.  On page 10 it talks about creating a view then setting up the datasource. The solution talks about runnig a query.  I suspect when we run a query I would run it for only a period(using variable) to reconcile.
    My question is this.  Will the datasource extractor on /r3 only select the period in our variable or will it do a full selection of the data which would then be passed to BW for filtering?

    DEar Mark,
    There are several avenues where you can see and reconcile your data with source system, u can see data in by tcode RSA3 for a datasource, and compare the values with actual document posted into the R/3 system. Respective fuctional consultant canhelp you a lot to confirm the data.
    On BW side u can see the data in PSA and then check tranformations which subsequent change/update/reject data records based on the selective conditions.

  • How to pass series of dates (between startdate and enddate) to subreport, which takes only one date as parameter

    Relatively new to Microsoft report services. I have created a report which takes a single parameter named 'SelectedDate'. This report runs fine (uses complex query of hours of the selected date and complex joins & aggregate calculations between SQL
    database tables). I created a new report with two parameters, namely, StartDate and EndDate. Also created a sql stored procedure which gives all dates between StartDate and EndDate. Added subreport to this report which calls my first report and defined 'SelectedDate'
    parameter to get the value as "=First(Fields!dt.Value, "DataSet1") - where dt is the resultset of procedure called in DataSet1. When I run this report, in the subreport, all I see is the report for 'StartDate' which is the passed
    value of the first parameter. I can't find a way to pass entire array of dates as parameter, to which user can browse forwards and backwards. Any idea? Thanks in advance for your help!

    HI Visakh16..Never mind my comment..I tried it again. This time I went to the completion of previewing..and noticed that the table with DataSet1 does display dates and first report underneath but once I click any other date, it displays the subreport on
    full page and navigation back arrow (with hint 'back to Parent Report) solution is not bad..so unless you a way to achieve my desired layout mentioned above - I am good for now! Thanks for your pointer in right direction!
    One small observation for thread readers: When I published the report to the report server, the back button (back to Parent Report) which was available to me at design time, is not displayed at client's browser. Upon checking pertinent threads, concluded
    that this is known issue for years and recommendation I concluded from various threads is: Use back button of browser and it should (& did) keep the parent report page, with table with selected dates intact. A few have noticed different behaviour
    for older browser versions. 

  • Keeping heading and detail on the same page

    Hi, I have a report with a group header section and a detail section.  How can I keep the heading section and all the detail section on the same page without starting each group on a new page?
    The detail section will have either 2 or 3 records with some of the objects set to grow if the data doesn't fit on one line.  This results in several changes of group appearing on the same page which is what I want.  However, what I don't want is the header section on one page with the detail section on the next, or the header and some of the detail records on one page with the rest of the detail records on the next.  What I would like is the report to start a new page if the header and all the detail records don't fit on the same page but without starting a new page for every group change.  How can I achieve this?

    you can put the group header and details into a sub report on the old group header section.
    then hide the details section

    for customer 567, i need to copy to header and material aqs, sales 150 and qty 5 to detail internal table.
    May I know how can I achieve this?

    Hello,
    As per my understanding, your requirement is that you have an internal table which has a combined data and you want to split it into headr and detail internal tables, based on the change of the customer number which is the first field in the combined internal table. If so then assume that it_com is the combined internal table and it_head and it_det as the header and detail interbnal tables respectively.
    First sor the combined internal table on customer number
    sort it_com by kunnr.
    Now loop across this table and on the event at new customer populate the header table and in the remaining loop populate the detail table.
    loop at it_com into wa_com.
      at new kunnr.
         wa_head-kunnr = wa_com-kunnr.
         append wa_head-kunnr to it_head-kunnr.
         clear wa_head-kunnr.
      endat.
    append the records from the combined table into the item table, whatever fields required
    endloop.
