Is there any way to verify dump file generated by export utility ?
Can I use the dbverify ?

dmp file can only be read by imp utility, not other one. dbverify is for different purpose, not at least for the one you ask.
What you can could do is, just import the dmp file to know whether it is real dmp file or not.

Seems like the impdp command is not in your %PATH% variable. Try this:
1.) Open a command shell cmd.exe
2.) Type in:
set PATH=%PATH%;%ORACLE_HOME%\bin3.) Try again with impdp
The precondition for this is that %ORACLE_HOME% is set correctly. The ORACLE_HOME directory is the directory where you've installed the Oracle software e. g. C:\oracle\product\10.2.0\. If you don't know your ORACLE_HOME then search for the string ORACLE_HOME in the Windows registry. There you should find the appropriate path.

Hello,
i am taking backups everyday on windows and that backup is generating dump file.
so i have manually delete that dump file everyday.
is there any way so that i can set a job which will automatically delete dumpfiles??

I'm not sure what you are referring to as a dump file is this possibly a transcript or log file created by OSB? If this is something created outside of OSB you could invoke an after script inside the dataset used for the backup.

How to enable dump file during OSD?

I'm having an issue with a line of Dell laptops getting stuck in a reboot loop after the first reboot of our OSD task sequence, which is an SCCM 2012 SP1/MDT 2012 Update 1 Client Task Sequence.
After it lays down the OS and reboots for the first time, we get a BSOD. There is no DMP file at C:\Windows\Minidump. How can I enable the minidump or get the BSOD to stay on the screen if I can't get into the OS to make those changes?

when i import on windows 2003 server i am getting the following error

ORA-31619:     invalid dump file "string"
Cause:      Either the file was not generated by Export or it was corrupted.
Action:      If the file was indeed generated by Export, report this as an Import bug and submit the export file to Oracle Customer Support.

Starting yesterday I started getting the BSOD. I have uploaded my dump files to this dropbox account:

There are lots of them as my PC crashed many times.
I attempted to analyze them with windbg but all I can see is:

Also I ran sfc /scannow and it found no integrity violations.
After the first BSOD I was barely able to get Windows to load without another immediate crash. I couldn't boot my PC last night but today seems okay so far. CPU temp was fine, actually quite cool as I had my window open right by the PC with the side off
the case and it was cold last night. Today, so far, seems to be running okay...so far anyways..
Windows update recently installed a driver for my on-board video card (Nvidia GeForce 6150n) on the 18th I think as I started using a 2nd monitor using the on-board card in addition to my PCI Express Ati Radeon HD. To use the second screen, I switched
the primary video in CMOS to on-board instead of PCI-E 16x so the on-board Nvidia card would be enabled.
I also installed brand new ram (4gb DDR2) about a month ago
and a new power supply 2 months ago. The power supply is not "exactly" the same voltage as the one that was in there but it's dang close. But I don't have any power leeching components.
Other than that nothing new has happened. After I got the crash, I tried to enter CMOS yesterday and it glitched out on me twice. I hope it's not my motherboard..
I am willing to do a system re-format as I am running Windows 7 32bit on a 64bit AMD so I wouldn't mind having 64 bit Windows anyways but I'd like to know what the problem is before I do this. Thank you.

In our specific case, bit 63 of the status code is set, so it is valid. Bit 62 of the status code is
unset, therefore there's no overflow. Bit 61 implies an uncorrected error has occurred, and Bit 60 implies an error condition was enabled. Last but not least, Bit 57 is
set and implies a corrupted processor context.
If we take a look at the last 15 bits of the binary:

Which should I download?
You can either download the pre-compiled ISO that you would burn to a CD and then boot from the CD, or you can download the auto-installer for the USB key. What this will do is format your USB drive, make it a bootable device, and then install the necessary
files. Both do the same job, it's just up to you which you choose, or which you have available (whether it's CD or USB).
Do note that some older generation motherboards do not support USB-based booting, therefore your only option is CD (or Floppy if you really wanted to).
How Memtest works:
Memtest86 writes a series of test patterns to most memory addresses, reads back the data written, and compares it for errors.
The default pass does 9 different tests, varying in access patterns and test data. A tenth test, bit fade, is selectable from the menu. It writes all memory with zeroes, then sleeps for 90 minutes before checking to see if bits have changed (perhaps because
of refresh problems). This is repeated with all ones for a total time of 3 hours per pass.
Many chipsets can report RAM speeds and timings via SPD (Serial Presence Detect) or EPP (Enhanced Performance Profiles), and some even support changing the expected memory speed. If the expected memory speed is overclocked, Memtest86 can test that memory performance
is error-free with these faster settings.
Some hardware is able to report the "PAT status" (PAT: enabled or PAT: disabled). This is a reference to Intel Performance acceleration technology; there may be BIOS settings which affect this aspect of memory timing.
This information, if available to the program, can be displayed via a menu option.

I go with Helios's reply. We cannot just predict if it was taken my expdp or exp.
Since your DB version is 10 , both could be possible.
The simplest way would be : just run the imp , if it throws error , then its created through expdp.
because dump from expdp cannot be used with imp and vice versa. So that could help you find..
else , try to get the syntax by which the dump was created.
If you have any doubts , wait for experts to reply.

So after analysing this log file, i created
the appropriate drives and folders... as the
import statement doesn't see them.
E:\ORADATA G:\ORDATA etc...
And i started to [b]IMPORT ONE MORE TIME. with:
$ IMP73 sys/pssw Full=Y FILE=c:\temp\FOLD_1\data_1.dmp BUFFER=64000
COMMIT=Y INDEXFILE=c:\temp\FOLD_1\BOO_idx.sql
LOG=c:\temp\FOLD_1\BOO_log.LOG DESTROY=Y IGNORE=Y;
after that i could not see the users nor the
tables created.
and the following message appeared in the log file:
Warning: the objects were exported by L1, not by you
. . skipping table "AN1999_BDAT"
. . skipping table "ANPK"
. . skipping table "BOAP"
. . skipping table "BOO_D"
ETC.....skipping all the tables
. . skipping table "THIN_PER0"
. . skipping table "UPDATE_TEMP"
Import terminated successfully without warnings.
and only 2 new tablespaces (originally 3) were
created without any data in ( i check that in
the Oracle Storage manager : the tablespaces exit
with 0.002 used space; originally 60 M for each !!)

How to import data (with full import option) succefully
MORE THAN ONE TIME from an exported dump file ?
Even if we have to overwrite tablespaces , tables and users.

what exactly do you mean with a 'dump file'? Are you referring to a backup?

How To Import From Dump File

I have a dump file i and i need to import this dump file in my database this dump file consist of the database structure

If you have original export dump file then you have to choice 1.using impdp through OEM. or using original imp utility.

How to import only rows of tables from from a dump file

Good day,
I have impoted a schema from a dump files with option rows=n,(accordingly it should import only structure of the tables)
now i want to import rows for these tables in that schema. Kindly guide me how to do that. I have used below syntax for import.
imp userid=system/manager@testdb fromuser=abc touser=abc file=d:\abctest\
abc.dmp log=e:\abc15.log buffer=100000000 ignore=y constraints=n grants=n statistics=none rows=n;
Any help willbe much appriciated.

Hi Sybrand,
Thanx for the suggestion. Actually it is my fault that I had not explained the whole scenarion.
Let me explain it one by one...
(1) First i was importing a schema with rows=y option and I was getting some constraints error(can not insert NULL value in 'not null' column of some particular table) and import was unsuccesful.
(2) Then i desided to import only structure of the tables in that schema, and later disabled that constraint which was creating the problem.
(3) Now I m willing to import the data in these tables using that .dmp file, using rows=y, and this was my question if i m doing it in a right way or do i need to do some further step.
Hope this time i have made picture more clear.

How import 10g,11g dump file in oracle 9 and oracle 8

I import dump file exported from oracle 9 to oracle 10g and 11g now i want exported dump file from oracle 10g/11g to import in oracle 9 (lower version).
How said job will be done.

I've already tried your method, but it fails when you import the dmp exported from lower version.
To import Oracle 11g user to Oracle 10g, the following method works fine:
It is assumed that both 11g and 10g servers are on same LAN.
Make sure that 11g sqlplus connects to your 10g server.
Step 1. Export the 11g user from 11g machine.
Step 2.Import the dmp file created in step 1 into 10g server from 11g machine itself.
The 11g exp/import utility should be used for both export and import operations.
Only source and destination servers will be different.

How to view database core dump file

I have an Oracle server on windows 2000. Now, I found the oracle server will produce a core dump file in ..\cdump directory. But this file is only a system memory image, so it's hard to analysis the core dump reason, could you tell me how to view this file? thanks

There's no much useful information for you too see. You can create a SR with Oracle support and upload file if you want to investigate the cause of core dump. also check if there's any errors in your alert<SID>.log and core_dump_dest
