How to view albums by artowork, regardless of artist...HELP

I have the new iTunes, and when viewing in the album view, I see all the artwork(and lack of), but because I have for example, Talib Kweli Feat. John Legend as the artist, and the song name without the featuring artist(obviously, as I have it with the artist), I get multiples of the same album when I just want to view by album, NOT by album and hten by artist.
Is there a way to combine/fix this?
Thanks.

Assuming I get this correctly, if you're talking about the standard "List" view by Album, where your album art is down the left hand side.
Click on the "Album" column at the top of the page. It changes from "Album" to "Album by Artist" to "Album by Year" then back to "Album" each time you click on it.
It took me ages to work this out, I didn't notice it changed
If you are talking about the new "Grid" view, then I don't know I'm sorry. Mine lists it all how I want it to, in Album order.

  • How to view Albums in Genres within iPod on ipad?

    When within genres, i can only seem to view a list of all tracks. How do i view albums within genres?
    Thanks.

    AFAIK and from the limited research that I have done, you can't do that on the iPad. Apparently the feature is available on the iPhone (?) but not on the iPad.

  • How to view albums in grid in one genre?

    Is it possible to find a way to view all of your albums in one genre in "grid" view, so that you can see a bunch of albums all within that genre at once? I like the beginning of "grid" view, but once you click on a genre, it changes to a type of list view. The 'rollover' effect when you mouse over one genre is good, but it does not seem to be in a specific order, and then it shows only a few albums (for example about 4 or 5 different out of 148 that exist in that one genre).
    Is there a way to see all those albums in that one genre - their cover/artwork - in "grid"? Essentially, I think I'm looking for a view like "icon" view in the Finder, where I'm seeing all the different icons of my albums within one 'folder' of one genre. Can it be done, and if so, how?
    Thanks.

    Type in the name of the Genre in the search box. All albums containing that text, anywhere, will be displayed. While this may still display the odd track from different genres which use the same words in most cases it should narrow things down significantly.

  • How to View Album as Only THumbnails and Enlarged Image

    I hope I can explain this right...
    When I click an album on my page, it takes me to a page of smaller thumbnails of all of the images in that album and the thumbnails are scattered around the page. When I click on any of the images, it takes me to a page that shows a strip of square thumbs across the top of the page with one enlarged image beneath, with the option of clicking on any of the thumbs or starting a slideshow, etc. Is there a way you can be brought directly to this page from the main albums page and bypass the middle page of medium sized thumbs? That middle page seems unnecessary and I'd be psyched to learn how to skip it. Thanks!!

    Thanks Cyclosaurus. That works great and does just what I wanted. There are a few small glitches though that you may be able to help with.

    When clicking on the People gallery, the page we're bypassing blinks briefly before going to the thumbnail page. This doesn't happen on the other pages. Any thoughts?
    It's servers latency or you browser caching, it's part of async processing (AJAX).
    Also, there is a Back to Album link in the upper left which takes you to a blank page and then you have to click the Back to Index link to get to the main Gallery page. Can I get the Back to Index link on the other page instead?
    Give this a try:
    <script type='text/javascript'>
    _base=parent.window.location.href;
    if(_base.indexOf('#')==-1){parent.window.location=_base.split('#')[0]+'#0';}
    var albumsIndexURL = 'http://web.me.com/jrcphoto/jrcphoto/GALLERY/GALLERY.html'; // this is you album URL, change this if needed
    function newBtI() {
    if (parent.widgets) {
    headerControls = parent.document.getElementsByClassName('com-apple-iweb-widget-detailview')[0];
    backToAlbumDiv = headerControls.getElementsByClassName('left')[0];
    backToAlbumAnchors = backToAlbumDiv.getElementsByTagName('a');
    for (btaai=0;btaai<backToAlbumAnchors.length;btaai++) {
    backToAlbumAnchors[btaai].removeAttribute('onclick');
    backToAlbumAnchors[btaai].setAttribute('href', ('' + albumsIndexURL));
    chknewBtI = setInterval('newBtI()', 500);
    </script>

  • View Albums section like Artists

    Embracing the change, but I'd like to be able to view albums by release date as it helps me remember what came out when. I've found cmd+j to sort this but I can only do what I did in 10 in the albums section, but its in grid view and don't see an option to change it.
    Also wondering if iTunes has finally added the option to rewind/ff 5 or 10 seconds.

    Ultimately, I'm trying to clean-up my photographs and make sure they are referenced from the correct place. I've been using Aperture since 2.0 and although I understand much more about how it organizes things now, I didn't have a perfect understanding then. Life and learn
    So, I'm just trying to make sure that there aren't references to certain photographs in certain albums...does that make sense. It would be great to look at a photograph and be able to see, "oh hey, that picture is in those 5 albums....but it's only supposed to be in 4 of them". Of course, this comes down to my poor organization in the last but I was just looking for a way to make this a bit easier on myself.
    Hope that is clear. And thank you.

  • How to View PDF slideshow created with Adobe Photoshop Album?

    Many years ago during the Windows ME era, I created several short PDF slideshows with software (Adobe Photoshop Album) that included audio.  I saved them to a flashdrive.  I believe I used Adobe Reader 7 to play them years ago.  I am now running Windows 7 and attempted to open/play the videos and all I could see is the individual slides with no audio.  Is there a way to view these slideshows with audio today?  Some of them have special meaning and I would appreciate any assistance on how to view them once again.

    Hi there! Because the forum you originally posted in is for beginners trying to learn the basics of Photoshop, I moved your question to the Photoshop Ablum Starter Edition forum, where you'll get more specialized help.

  • How do I view album artwork in the songs tab in iTunes 11.0?

    Before the update, I was able to view album artwork next to song titles in the list view. With the update, I don't know how to do this now. If anybody has found out how to do it, please answer. this is how my itunes looks now

    I am having this same issue on my version of iTunes (Version 12.0.1.26) for the PC.
    When I go to the album artwork for a particular song, I can no longer select the covers for the song listed - unlike in previous versions of iTunes. There is no blue-highlight that occurs, as you cannot select anything. When I add new artwork, the old artwork goes into the "gallery" portion under the artwork screen... and I still cannot delete it.
    This has nothing to do with automatically downloaded artwork.
    Thanks for the help!

  • How do I view albums within a genre?

    When I click into a genre I get an option for "albums" and a list of artists. If I click on albums, it gives me a list of all my albums in itunes not just those within the genre. How can I get a list of only the albums within a genre?
    Thanks

    Jerry,
    The option at the top says "all albums", that's why you see everything in iTunes. To see the albums you have to leave the menu on a genre like Pop and watch the album cover art work. If you select Pop, you get the artists and under the artists are the albums. It could use a few more options....

  • How to view my music in list view in iTunes 11?

    I am largely unimpressed with the new-look iTunes11. Before, I could very quickly scroll through my large music library in list view, but scrolling through the library is very sluggish, as iTunes has to wait for all of the album art to load.
    There is a list view option for the movies, but not for music. Am I missing it somewhere?

    I know how to view the sidebar. But I'm talking about viewing my songs, artists, etc. in LIST view, i.e. without the album art showing.
    The LIST view is available for movies in the sort options at the top of the window, but not in the music section.
    EDIT: I figured it out! By clicking on the "SONGS" sort option, then arranging by artist, it is like viewing the music library in list view.

  • How to change "Album By Artist" to just "Album"?

    Yeah so im kind of late for this but this is driving me crazy. You know how before iTunes 10 & 11 there was a column called "Album" which sorted all your music by the Album Title? Now it shows "Album by Artist" which I don't want. I checked "Album" under the view settings but when i click that it shows Album by artist NOT Album.
    How it is currently:
    ex.
    *song name* *artist* *album by artist*
    How i want it to be:
    ex.
    *song name* *artist* *album*
    I want it when i click to sort my music by album it sorts it by the albums artists name and then the album name not the albums name.
    Am I making sense?

    Oh. My. God. Was it really that simple? I feel dumb..... Thank you Jim! You are a life saver, you know that?
