How to view Aperture projects on ATV 2?

I have an Apple TV gen1 and Apple TV gen2. Gen 1 used to nicely allow my to pick albums or projects from my entire aperture list. As far as I can tell with gen2, I can't choose ANY albums/projects. The only aperture album it shows me through the computer --> photos section of ATV is the smart project I am using for the screensaver. Is this possible, that I can't select any projects from aperture? I have tried to go from aperture and from the iTunes route and I see no solution in either.
In other news, my ATV2 doesn't show up in iTunes. Is it supposed to?

Photostream is on the internet menu once you install software v 4.4 (4.4.1), you need to enter yoir iCloud info the first time you use it.
If you don't have 4.4, I'm afraid you'll have to wait, it's currently unavailable.
Some posters are still reporting success by updating via iTunes but I can't confirm that these posts weren't simply referring to other times when the updates were available.

  • How to view aperture library from another computer on network?

    Hi,
I'd like to simply view (not edit) my aperture library from another computer on my home network. The aperture library resides on a mac pro, and I'd like to see the images on a macbook pro to show family members. On the surface, this seems like a simple concept - as Apple TV can do this with home sharing. Further, itunes can share it's library in this manner.  Is this possible?
    thank you,
    T

You don't mention which OS you're using and I understand that Lion has changed some of the sharing features but  what you are looking to do is doable.
Be warned that accessing an Aperture library over a network is slow and definitely not something you want to do if editing except in an emergency and you want to make triple sure that only one user is accessing the library at a time.  But I regularly access libraries over wireless when I'm to lazy to walk across the house and need to check somthing out.
If you are using Snow Leopard go into System preferences->Sharing and tune on file sharing on the the Mac Pro. If you have the same user name on both systems you should have no problem accessing the library from the MBP.
If you're on Lion, you'l need to lok up how to enable file sharing. I haven't swithced so I can;r help you there.
    good luck

  • How to view archived projects

    Hi
As an administrator I want to view or access archive project,How Can I do that
PS- I have archived project using below method
    https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/gg597607(v=office.14).aspx

The process indicates only non-admin users be given the Deny permission to view, so as an administrator you should be able to access the project. You should be able to simply access that project fro project Pro, or a view like "All projects"..
If you inlcuded yourself in that security group by accident, just take yourself out, and you will be able to see the project.

  • How to publish Aperture projects to iWeb

iPhoto has a button that enable one to publish photos directly from iPhoto into iWeb.  I can not find such a button since I moved up to Aperture.  Am I missing it?  Or, I may be going about it the wrong way.   I currently use MobileMe to host a family photo web site published by iWeb, and linked to several dozen MM photo galleries.  When MM dies next year I would like to keep all of this stuff together in the easiest way possible.  I know that I will need to use another web hosting service to host my iWeb published site.  But, I need to get my current MM photo galleries, all published via Aperture, "into" iWeb, not simply linked to it.  One way, if I were still using iPhoto, would be to use the iWeb button and republish all of the galleries directly into iWeb.  Can I do this from Aperture?  thank you!

I don't have hands-on experience with this aspect of Aperture, but it seems that Chapter 24 covers the Creation of Webpages.  It appears it is not using iWeb.

I have an extensive aperture library on my computer's hard drive and I want to break it up into separate smaller libraries on external hard drives.  How do I take projects from one library and add them to another one?

    Coastal,
Frank gave you the exact answer to your question.
However, I would like to ask if you are indeed asking the right question.  Do you really want different libraries?  The implications are that you have to "switch" libraries to see what's in the others, and so that your searches don't work across all of your pictures?  If so, then you asked the right question.  If not, you may be more interested in relocating your masters to multiple hard drives so your library gets smaller, instead of breaking up the library.

Captivate 8 - How to change to producing "project.json" file instead of a "project.txt" file?  Having issues with viewing published projects due to this.   Would be thankful fo rany/all advice.

I'm having the same issue. I've been able to work around it by opening the txt file and copying the contents. Then I open a new file in Sublime Text 2, paste the contents and save the new file as "project.json". It seems to work, but it'd been nice if I didn't have to do this everytime I publish a new project.

  • How to view man hours in MS Project 2013

I have created a sample project plan in MS Project 2013 with 3 resources. Some tasks are running in parallel while others are one after another. I am using standard calendar which is 8 hours a days, 40 hour a week.
How do I know man hours of my project plan? Is there some view available looking at which I can know the man hours of my project?

    Hi,
assuming default settings, you should do two things:
Add column Work to your view
Display Project Summary task: tab Format, enable check box "Project Summary Task".
This will give you total of hours (Work) for your project in line 0.
    Does that help?

  • Is there an alternative to view Pictures from Aperture "Projects"/Folders

I am considering the purchase of a new ATV to display pictures from my Aperture library on the HD TV.
    1)
Is there a way to view the pictures using the full 1080 HD capacity of the TV or will this always be limited to 720 no matter what I do? It is not bad at 720 on a 42 inch screen, but I would like to maximise the resolution especially as we now have a 46" screen. If not, is there an alternative to ATV (to view Aperture Library - don;t want to mess around with exporting etc if I can avoid this).
    2) If I connect a HDD to the USB port, can I then Synchronise Aperture pictures to the ATV HDD as I used to with my old ATV (as an option to view pictures and other stuff without the Computer connected)?
Any other words of wisdom? Is the MAC mini an option (without a computer screen - i.e. a replacement for the ATV). If so would it give 1080 through HDMI cable and would it allow the ATV remote to use it and be seen by iTunes as a device to synch with?
(We don't have our old kit anymore in case anyone was wondering)

AppleTV 2 only outputs 720p - whether this is a hardware or software limitation I don't know.
Apple might be able to address this in a future update, but if it was capable overall I think it would have been an option from the start.

No the USB port is for restoring via iTunes only - you can't officially connect a drive to it.  AppleTV2 also only has 8GB os solid state storage shared between all functions.
MacMini is certainly capable of outputting 1080p over HDMI.  I have last year's model hooked up to a 1080p TV though more often than not the HDMI lead is disconnected in favour of another device and i manage it remotely.
With Home Sharing you could easily transfer content to Mac Mini from another computer running iTunes.
Remote should work with Mini, but not sure what app you'd be controlling for the slideshows or whether they'd respond to the remote.

  • How do I move projects from aperture to create space and keep images on external hard drive

How do I move projects from my iMac aperture 3 to an external hard disk so I keep all originals and create space on my iMac

Do you want to move your complete Aperture library to an external volume or only selected projects?
Get yourself an external drive that is formatted MacOS X Extended (Journaled) and connect it to a fast port, Thunderbolt, USB 3, for example.
As a precaution repair your Aperture library using the Aperture Library First Aid Tools (Repairing and Rebuilding Your Aperture Library: Aperture 3 User Manual) and make a current backup, before you proceed.
To move all projects to that drive simply drag your Aperture library to the external drive. Then click it in the Finder to launch Aperture on the new library and test it thoroughly, before you delete the old library.
To move selected projects to the new drive, select the projects in Aperture and use the command "FIle > Relocate originals" and select a folder on the external drive as the destination in the File Chooser. See: Aperture 3 User Manual: Working with Referenced Images

  • How to view baseline and updated project to show progress vs baseline

I know how to assign a baseline to a project but I cannot figure out how to view both to show my client the progress since the baseline. Does anyone know how to do this? Please HELP.....
    FW

Baseline management and reporting is a complex subject so I will start with basics not to confuse you.
Assign the baseline as project baseline.
Add a bar in gantt chart and select type project baseline, perhaps bar is already there and you need to just select it.
Add a column Schedule %age complete and that is your baseline %age as of current data date.
    Note:
Please make sure the baseline used for EV under project settings - calculations is project baseline to get the right Sch. %age.

    Hi,
I am trying to implement an navigation control in a view controller project.
I am unable to do that process.
Can anyone please suggest me how to do this navigation flow which should be placed inside view controller.

    Hi,
    I am using Jdeveloper 11.1.1.4.0.
To use the appModules methods, I am creating the service interface and then I am creating the webservice proxy into another view controller project and access the appModule methods.
Now, I don't want to create the webservice proxy. I want to directly access the appModule methods.

  • How do I share an Aperture project with another computer?

My wife and I each have MacBook Pros running Aperture. How do we share certain Aperture projects?

There is no way to share _and sync_.  Aperture is a single-user application.  You can copy Projects from one Library to another, but changes made to the Images in the Project copied to the second Library are never written back to the original Library.
Moving Projects between Libraries is easy.
Note that you can export a Library, work on the Images in it, and then import it back into the original Library and merge your changes.
All of this is covered better than I can here in the User Manual chapter "Working with Library Files"
