How to view computers that are authorized to play music

Is there a way to see what computers I’ve authorized to play music that I’ve purchased from the Itunes store, like maybe a serial number / model number combination, or some other identifying piece of information? I have several machines in different locations and it would be helpful to know, rather then just deactivating them all.
Much thanks!

No.

You can de-authorize individual computers, but only by using those computers. The only other option is to "de-authorize all" from your iTunes account.
      1. Open iTunes on a computer
      2. From the Store menu, select "View my Account..."
      3. Sign in with your Apple ID and password.
      4. Under "Computer Authorizations" select "De-authorize All".
      5. Authorize each computer you still have, as you may require.
You may only do this once per year.
After you "de-authorize all" your authorized computers, re-authorize each one as required.
If you have de-authorized all computers and need to do it again, but your year has not elapsed, then contact: Apple - Support - iTunes - Contact Us.

Is there a way to see a list of all of the computers that are authorized under my iTunes account?

No, you can only see how many computers are authorised, you can't see what they are.

Did you recently deauthorize a bunch of computers?  You can only deauthorize all once  year.

  • HT1420 Why can't iTunes show me which computers that are authorized?  Why do I need to find those computers?

With my kids all over the place, why do I need to find every computer that is authorized?  In order to deauthorize a specific computer, i need to find that computer and deauthorize it.  i should be able to access my account and see the computers that are authorized, and select one or two for deauthorization. As an alternative, I should be able to purchase an additional pack of authorizations for my account. The authorization process is poorly designed and hard to use.

If you have 2 or more computers authorised then you can log into your account on your computer's iTunes and 'deauthorise all' (which you can do once every 12 months) and you can then authorise/reauthorise the computers that you still have and need.
In terms of seeing a list of authorised computers and/or purchasing extra authorisations, you can try leaving feedback for Apple here : http://www.apple.com/feedback/itunesapp.html

  • How to view which accounts are authorized on a computer

My question is not how to authorize or deauthorize my account on a computer. My question is how to find out which account(s) you have authorized on one specific computer.
I share my iTunes Library with my family so we have had six or eight iTunes accounts over the years. We are moving to a new computer and we can't remember which accounts are authorized for our music library.
If we could find out the usernames, we would know the passwords. Any way to see which accounts you have authorized on a computer?

It's simply there because you may either de-authorized it or all computers from that computer. It is not an indication that the computer is not de-authorized if, in fact, you have de-authorized it.

  • How to view songs that are not in any playlist

    I am using iTunes 6.04.
I want to be able to view songs in my Library that are not associated with ANY playlist. How can this be done? Please don't suggest to me upgrading to iTunes 7.02. (with every iTunes update, Apple makes is more difficult to do the things Apple doesn't want you to be able to do).
    Thanks
    Ben

Please be patient. If you don't get a reply within a few hours, obviously nobody passed by who knew the answer to your question.
After all we're just fellow users trying to help as these are user-to-user forums.
    I have an answer.
    Run one of these scripts:
Not In Any Playlist will create a text listing of songs that are not in any playlist.
Not In Any Playlist To Playlist will put songs that are not in any playlist into a new playlist.
    Hope this helps.

  • In windows 7 how to view folders that are only online on onedrive?

I have uploaded massive amounts of information to onedrive for online storage without syncing.
How am I able to view those folders on a win7 machine folders system not with the browser?
I also have a 8.1 tablet that points to the same onedrive account. Tried to create a symbolic link(/J) on that tablet onedrive to point to the actual location where the folders actually are, and later make that symbolic visible on the win7 machine.
It didn't work. The folder showed on the win7 machine, but empty. On the 8.1 tablet the symbolic folder works as it should though.

    Hi,
If you want to view the file from OneDrive application instead of browser, do the following:
For Windows 7, OneDrive is not the built-in application, thus you need download the related applilcation to view your files.
For more information about how to use the desktop OneDrive and download address, please read this article:
OneDrive desktop app for Windows: FAQ
    http://windows.microsoft.com/en-in/onedrive/windows-app-faq#1TC=other
For Windows 8.1, you just sign in the built-in OneDrive app with the account to use it. You don't need  to set any symbolic link.

  • 2 machines are authorized to play music???

I have had trouble downloading purchased music from itunes onto 1 of my 3 ipods. I think the above message in itunes is the cause. Can somebody please help me change this. We have 3 ipods in the family and we all share our playlists. I am going crazy trying to figure this out.

Multiple authorizations, even on a single system, would not normally cause problems synchronizing to an iPod. If your system shows multiple authorizations and you want to see if you can correct it (though it's generally harmless until hit the maximum of five authorizations and want to authorize another system), see:
One computer using multiple iTunes Store authorizations
As to the one iPod that won't sync, have you updated it with the latest software? Note that I'm referring to the software (firmware) on the iPod itself, not your version of iTunes.

  • "One machine is authorized to play music purchased with this account"

    Hey Guys,
I just made my Apple ID my iTunes account, and I just reviewed the account info. For some reason it says: "One machine is authorized to play music purchased with this account"
I thought up to five computers are authorized to play music downloaded from iTunes?
Did I do something wrong, is this normal?

Up to 5 can be authorized but you have only authorized 1 machine.
If you have another machine you want to authorize, fire up iTunes on it and authorize it. You don't need to authorize it unless you have iTunes purchases on it.

  • My iMac holds my main iTunes account.  How do I find out a list of all the devices that are authorized from this computer?

My iMac holds my main iTunes account and it shows 4 devices are authorized to play iTunes.  I can only name 3.  How do I find out a list of all the devices that are authorized from this computer?

I don't believe this is possible, but you can deauthorize all your computers and start over if you are concerned.
