How to view database performance in OEM back 8 hour

Hello All,
I have recently installed OEM 11g. Please can I know how to view the performance of the database back 8 hour as I can see the performance for an hour only on the performance page.
Thanks.

Yes, you can.
For instance you can use the ADDM feature (via the Database Homepage --> Adivsor Central --> ADDM --> Run ADDM to analyze past performance

  • How to view database table in oracle9i Jdeveloper

    Hi,
    how to view database table in oracle9i jdeveloper,any manual setting .please help me.
    thanks
    saran.

    In Jdeveloper go to View-->Connection Nevigator. there you will see all kind of connctions. Expand Database and check if your DB connection is present there. If not, you need to create using right clicking on Database and choose New Database Connecton. Here few screens will be there where you need to put the TNS entries of your database.
    Once DB connection is created, you can expand the connection by clicking on + icon and you can see different available schema objects. Again you need to expand Tables and you can look for specific table in there.
    Hope this clears your doubts.
    Thanks,

  • How to report database performance to upper management?

    Hello all.
    I am looking for a way to report database performance to upper management.  I'll start by giving you an overview of our team structure. I manage a team of various roles: Level 2 support specialists, configuration managers, and DBAs - we are dubbed the
    "Production Support Team".  I report directly to the VP of Software Development who oversees the Design, DEV, and QA, team managers.  This means that our team, Production Support, can be considered a peer team of Design, DEV, and QA.
    The manager of each team compiles metrics from their team members and reviews them on a weekly basis to ensure we are headed in the right direction.  We then take our metrics, and distill them down into a few key metrics that we then report to the VP
    of Software Development.  Those metrics are easy tom compile for the L2 support roles (number of tickets escalated, number closed, etc.).  However, I've been struggling with how to report DBA performance for a long time.  Every time I start
    to compile numbers, I end up with tons of things that are great for a DBA, but don't mean much to upper management.  Does anyone have any suggestions.  Surely I'm not the only person that has had this issue?
    I'd be happy to provide more info if needed.  Thanks!
    Clint

    are you using an RTF template ?
    in the RTF template you need to use this syntax for the HTML enabled field
    <?html2fo:MOSC_COMMENTS?>
    instead of <?MOSC_COMMENTS?>

  • How to view database core dump file

    I have an Oracle server on windows 2000. Now, I found the oracle server will produce a core dump file in ..\cdump directory. But this file is only a system memory image, so it's hard to analysis the core dump reason, could you tell me how to view this file? thanks

    There's no much useful information for you too see. You can create a SR with Oracle support and upload file if you want to investigate the cause of core dump. also check if there's any errors in your alert<SID>.log and core_dump_dest

  • How to view database values from server to client

    hi friends
    i have database in server side, i am storing values to the database from client side machine through remote methods. But now i need to view the database values from the server side. how to do this using RMI.
    Plz give me suggestion.

    Why do you have to use RMI for this task? That way you've got to write both a client and a server. Just use JDBC directly from the server.

  • How to view custom performance counter data?

    I have created a new MVC application and have added Application Insights to the project. I modified the ApplicationInsights.config file to start collecting the performance counter for Memory\Page Faults/sec. How can I tell if this data is making it to App
    Insights? I can't see the data in the portal. When I add a chart in metrics explorer this counter does not exist under the Performance Counters.
    Where do I go to view this data? How can I determine if it's working or not? Also the documentation I'm finding on the subject appears to be outdated. Is MMA still used to capture this data? If not, what is used now? Do I need to restart something in order
    for this data to start getting collected?
    Here is my config:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>

      <PerformanceCounters>
        <PerformanceCounterConfiguration counterSpecifier="\Memory\Page Faults/sec"/>
      </PerformanceCounters>
    </ApplicationInsights>

    Can you please let us know which documentation you're referring to? It does seem to be outdated.
    Application Insights collects certain performance counters on its own; unfortunately, the list of performance counters is not configurable as of now. The syntax you're using
    <PerformanceCounters>
        <PerformanceCounterConfiguration counterSpecifier="\Memory\Page Faults/sec"/>
      </PerformanceCounters>
    is not supported.
    Performance data will be collected automatically (no further configuration needed) as long as the following element is in your ApplicationInsights.config (and it is indeed present in your sample):
      <Add Type="Microsoft.ApplicationInsights.Extensibility.PerfCollector.PerformanceCollectorModule,
    Microsoft.ApplicationInsights.Extensibility.PerfCollector" />
    Performance counters currently collected by Application Insights are:
    \Process(<application process>)\% Processor Time
    \Memory\Available MBytes
    \ASP.NET Applications(<IIS process>)\Requests/Sec
    \.NET CLR Exceptions(<application process>)\# of Exceps Thrown / sec
    \ASP.NET Applications(<IIS process>)\Request Execution Time
    \Process(<application process>)\Private Bytes
    \Process(<application process>)\IO Data Bytes/sec
    \ASP.NET Applications(<IIS process>)\Requests In Application Queue
    \Processor(_Total)\% Processor Time
    There are additional factors that may affect performance collection; this blog article contains a section detailing performance collection in Application Insights SDK:
    http://blogs.msdn.com/b/visualstudioalm/archive/2014/12/11/updated-application-insights-status-monitor-to-support-12-and-later-application-insights-sdk.aspx
    Please check out the section starting with the words "One of the changes made in the .12 version
    of the Application
    Insights for Web Applications SDK is the collection of the following Windows performance counters."
    As you can see from the blog post, you are indeed looking in the right place in the portal (Metric Explorer under Performance Counters), but only the default counters will be collected.
    As a workaround, consider taking advantage of one of TelemetryClient.Track* methods to report data to Application Insights.

  • How can I tell that these "OEM" back covers on eBay are true Apple genuine parts?

    My camera lens is scuffed and instead of replacing that part, I'd like to replace the entire back cover.  I see a lot of these on eBay listed as OEM, but how do I know it's an Apple genuine product?  Where do they get these parts anyway?  Also, I'm reading that Apple will replace it for 29.99 USD, but then also reading that they don't do repairs?

    You don't know.  Apple does NOT sell parts, so chances are they're not real.

    Apple will replace the back cover for $29.  Make an appointment with the Genius Bar and bring it in.

  • How to view Database roles?

    Hello, is it possible to get a list of all database roles in SQL Developer and then look up all users assigned to a specific role? I can't find this option. Thank you, Lolita

    One of the long awaited features, should be available in the forthcoming 3.0.
    Until then, you can add User Defined Reports. There are a couple of them (for roles) on the SQL Developer Exchange (look for Donat's reports, now also as Shared Reports).
    Have fun,
    K.

  • How to view RAM performance

    I got the new MBP and installed the new RAM (now have 4 GB). Everything looks great. I would like to see how much RAM the OS is using. I would also like to know how much RAM I can assign to my Scratch disk to use Photoshop. Currently looks like I may have to be careful how many apps I can open at the same time.
    But is there a way to see how much RAM is being used at any given moment? System Profiler doesn't seem to do it. Thanks.

    Try using Activity Monitor. You might want to check out the MacBook Pro forum to see what others do about scratch disks.
    If you have ExpressCard support, I'd add eSATA so you aren't using the boot drive for scratch.
    Page outs and vm swap files can tell you if you are using disk, as well as watch the System Memory in Activity Monitor.
    Leopard and CS3 should automatically use free memory or cache so you don't actually assign anything, unless you are talking about the percentage preference - I think 70% but it depends on how large or type of files and work you deal with.

  • How to configure email Alerts in OEM Cloud 12c for Database Servers up/down

    Hi everybody,
    How to configure email Alerts in OEM Cloud 12c for Database Servers up/down status?
    Regards,
    Miguel Vega

    Hi Miguel Vega,
    Information regarding the notifications:
    ==============================
    Configuring notification rules in 12c is different from earlier releases.
    The concept and function of notification rules has been replaced with a two-tier system consisting of Incident Rules and Incident Rule Sets :
    1. Incident Rules: Operate at the lowest level granularity (on discrete events) and performs the same role as notification rules from earlier releases.
    By using incident rules, you can automate the response to incoming incidents and their updates.
    A rule contains a set of automated actions to be taken on specific events, incidents or problems.
    The actions taken are for example : sending e-mails, creating incidents, updating incidents, and creating tickets.
    2. Incident Rule Set: A rule set is a collection of rules that applies to a common set of objects, for example, targets, jobs, and templates.
    To help you to achieve the Notification Rules configuration, refer those notes :
