You are responsible as the buyer for understanding the product, it's capabilities and limitations, before buying.
While I can understand your frustration when reading the FAQ, it has been made very very abundantly clear to the most common of person that it requires a SOFTWARE UPDATE... do you recall updating your software on your AppleTV? Did you bother to investigate whether you had the update? At any point did it occur to you that this might not work? If so, I'm sorry, maybe you're not capable of handling this sort of technology without the knowledge necessary to comprehend what's required.
Also, since you're so upset about that you need to use language that is inappropriate, why don't you not post on a technical forum about your anger issues and instead give feedback to apple by reporting a problem in your purchase history and let them know. They have a 100% satisfaction rate with me over many years, I'm sure they will be happy to accommodate you as well provided you can be a little bit more polite to them.

I can hear the movie playing on the tv but not the picture. I have home sharing on, I logged into my itunes account on the apple tv, but home sharing still has my son's apple ID. I also have it turned on in my itunes account on my computer.
how do I get the video to show?
does it matter that I'm watching my movie on amazon prime on the iPad3?

iphone4 does not support airplay mirror so you don't
but it does support AV out so if you get a cable and connect it to the tv
you can get some supported apps displayed on the tv

Been trying to find a way to view all my Apple Maps Points of Interest pushpins all at once on the map screen. As I drive along routing, or when I zoom in and out of map areas. Saved bookmarks shows a long list, but I can't figure out how to just view all the pushpins on the map, so I can access my favorite locations and notes as I drive or plan a trip.
Maybe create a map pushpin folder to save only pictures related to the saved map bookmarks. And save on phone or skydrive? I still just go by memory. But the list, notes and scenes are getting really numerous. RV campsites, fishing, biking, skiing, services, phone signal, shopping, wifi, laundry, jobs, pictures, and much more.
I have an old HP mini that I like and use with my iphone 4. Have no interest or extra money to be upgrading my devices every time the software/bloatware updates overload otherwise perfectly good phones and laptops. Hope to be able to share with others how to have their phones and computers work for them, instead of the other way around.
Might stay with iPhone and even buy an ipad if they become more univerally compatible, or switch to all windows devices. Not too happy with PCs bloatware programming these days either. My old windows 98 laptop runs some really powerful programs. Wonder how many people would buy Jeeps and such vehicles, if they could not easily drive them on regular city streets or highways?

I am not exactly sure what you mean by "authorised", but I am experiencing a similar problem...or the same, in that Apple TV keeps telling me to enable home sharing in my MacBook Pro. It does not seem to recognize that home sharing is already enabled on my Laptop.
Is home sharing and "authorised" one in the same? It used to work just fine before these recent Apple TV updates.

Using this search tool:iOS Search. Find apps for your older iPhone or iPod Touch iOS 4.2.1 I found a compatible facebook app called Friends Planet 2. If you look carefully, I'm sure you can find others.

I am surprised to say that I don't think this is possible. Which is strange because upon inspection of the JSON results there is a return key for EVERYTHING except target iOS version. I would imagine that this may be an oversight by apple. It does not make sense that I can search "supportedDevices", "isGameCenterEnabled", and "fileSizeBytes" but not minimum or target OS.

well, your Question is not very concrete.
you can watch Film with Itunes. You can rent or buy there Movies.
You also can sync movies from your mac to the Ipad - just add them to the Mediathek and sync the Folder/File. Quick Time give you the Function - put these open Video File to Itunes. You also have the possibilty in imvoie.
With Facebook games, i cant help help you - i dont like Facebook, and i dont use this service. But when these games are Flash Games you arenot able to use them with you Ipad, because ipad have not Flash support.
