How to view file in EBS R12
Hi,
I have a report output file report1.pdf coming from windows.
I ftp it to our EBS R12 linux server to the desired location.
How can I view it using the "view request" of the EBS CM?
Thanks a lot
Hi,
What do you mean by how to view the report? If you register the concurrent program, then you should be able to view the output using Acrobat Reader (since the type is PDF).
In addition, you should not upload the output file (.pdf), instead upload the rdf file under $PRODUCT_TOP/reports/<lang> directory.

Hussein

How to view files uploaded in a directory through jsf
Please tell how to view the files in a directory using adf .Using jdeveloper 10g
Hi,
I assume the user has a directory on the server where his/her files go. In this case, you can use Java in a managed bean to access the folder and create a collection of the entries.

How to prepare for the EBS R12 Supply Chain OCE Certification
Hello everybody,
I post this thread because I'm going to take the exams to get the certification as Oracle EBS R12 Supply Chain Certified Expert Consultant and I'd like to understand how to best prepare myself.
Is there anyone who has already got this certification and can indicate me the best material to prepare myself?
I've worked on Oracle EBS (R11) for more than nineteen months up to now, focusing on the purchasing area, but I don't think that that could be sufficient to pass the required exams...
Thank you very muchHi
What about taking a look the exam objectives ?

By ready the requirements you should be able to see what you are aware of and what needs some studying or? -
I recently installed iTunes 11.4.0 and cannot find how to view the files created by some apps on my iPhone (and iPad). There appears to be no way to view them as there was in the previous version. Also can't view screens and icon positons to manipulate them in iTunes. Any one no how to find them, or if they have been purposely removed from 11.4.0?
First, take a deep breath ... enjoy life.
Upgrade to the latest version 1.4.1. It's a free upgrade. It however will not alleviate your frustrations.
You can move a directory in Lr by clicking and dragging to a new location within the Folders panel. To create a new folder on a new drive ensure that no folders are selected (hint: click All Photographs in the Catalog panel) then click the + icon in the Folders panel. You will be presented with a dialog to choose or create a new folder.
To move selected photos to a new directory first select the images then right click the destination folder. You will be presented with several options including moving to the destination folder or creating a new folder under the destination folder.
You can also move images outside of Lr. Review these links:

Regards
Mohammed.Mohammed,
I am not an expert although I have significant experience upgrading the database and applications from 11.5.10.2 to 12.1.1 and 12.1.3 in both test and production environments. The following are a few thoughts as you continue down the upgrade path:
Patch 8773483 will need to be installed in pre-install mode along with a number of other pre-install mode patches. If you haven't looked at the following note you will need to since it contains information you need:
Oracle Applications Release Notes, Release 12.1.1 [ID 798258.1]
Pay particular attention to the README.txt instructions for patch 9179588 since it wants you to merge other patches with it before applying.
Another note you need to be aware of, especially if you want reconcile past the 6 month window used for accrual write offs during the upgrade, is:
R12.0 and R12.1: FAQ for the SLA Upgrade: SLA Pre-Upgrade, Post-Upgrade, and Hot Patch [ID 604893.1]
Other good sources of information for financials are:
Impact of R12 Design in Procure To Pay Accounting Flow [ID 429105.1]
Projects Uptake of the TCA Architecture in Release 12 [ID 417511.1] <--- AR/TCA (HZ) table join information that is very good
Payments In Order Management In R12 [ID 1164613.1]
If you don't have XLE and ZX currently licensed in your 11.5.10.2 instance, you will need to license them so the tax conversion runs successfully.
If you have legal entity identifications that are more than 30 characters, you will want to be aware of the size limitation imposed on the column LEGAL_ENTITY_IDENTIFIER in the table XLE.XLE_ENTITY_PROFILES, The following job will fail if the combined values exceed the LEGAL_ENTITY_IDENTIFIER column length which is shortened in R12:
xleupg01.sql
There are lots of potential pitfalls in an R12 upgrade. You simply need to test, test, and test again everything you use, read the RCD's and R12 documentation as much as possible, etc ... Having said that, there are many good things about an R12 upgrade too, from both the functional and technical perspectives.

How to configure RMAN - Oracle EBS R12
Hi,
I have installed Oracle EBS R12 on OEL 5.6 and want to configure Backup strategy for Database. Database Version is 11.1.0.7. Currently Database is in Noarchivelog mode and want to take backup of database using RMAN. Can anyone guide me what are the steps to follow in order to achive that ?
Regards,
PriyankaYou can use RMAN to take backup in noarchive log mode.However you will be able to take cold backup only.
Use this,
RMAN> run {
shutdown immediate;
startup mount;
backup database;
alter database open;
Note:
RMAN does not permit you to make inconsistent backups when the database is in NOARCHIVELOG mode. If you employ user-managed backup techniques for a NOARCHIVELOG database, then you must not make inconsistent backups of this database.

How to view File Pathway of each image in the content screen?
Hi, I'm looking at many, slightly varying, copies of an image on my hard drive, trying to work out exactly which version I need to use. I want to know what the filename pathway is for each image, to help me make my choice.
Can anyone tell me how I can view the filename pathway of each of the images shown in the Content screen, other than by choosing 'Reveal in Bridge'? I'd really like to see all the pathways next to each image, so that I can compare them.
(I'm definitely going to have to be more organised with my file naming, metadata, versioning, etc.)
Thanks for any help,
Cheers, StevenGood grief, I can't believe I didn't see it. It's not exactly what I want, as I'd prefer to see all the pathways at once, but it's better than what I had... Interestingly, it only appears when I have photos from a search displayed. I guess when I have the contents of a folder displayed, the pathway is shown across the top using folder icons.
Thanks for your help.
Cheers,
Steven
