How to view lyrics on iTunes 12. No lyric option in Get Info

Platform: Windows 7 Ultimate, 16Gb RAM
Previously on iTunes 11 I had added lyrics to the mp4 video files. However having downloaded iTunes 12 I find that the option to view the lyrics via 'Get Info'
on the drop down menu seems to be missing. Am I missing something?

Had the same problem with the Mac but shift didn't work for me, it was "option/alt" while using File or right-click > Get Info. Thanks for the tip.
I hope that menu doesn't go away. I have a few songbooks labeled "audiobook" that I don't want to label "music". It looks neater to keep it as a songbook; audiobook in this case. This way when I shuffle music, the songbook doesn't get in the way, and I can still shuffle the songbook in the audiobook section when I want to.

I have to figure out how to view metadata for songs that have been funded by a public funding agency. The artist/record label is supposed to thank the funding agency in the metadata of albums/singles. How can I view this in the iTunes store (without purchasing the songs or album) to see if the text is there?

See this thread for background on why iTunes can end up with duplicates and how they can be systematically removed. The script there is for Windows users and the "show duplicates" menus have moved around in iTunes 11, but the advice on clearing recently made duplicates should still hold.
As given in my older post "Reorganize library" is meant as a one time command to change the structure of a pre-iTunes 9 library into the newer layout that places music in its own subfolder of the media folder. Once used, if the option becomes available again that suggests that a file called .iTunes Preferences.plist in the media folder has been deleted or editied.

Can't open latest 64-bit version of iTunes. It says to open it in 32-bit but there is no option in "Get Info" to do that.

I use a MacBook Pro version 10.6.8. The version of iTunes I installed is 10.5.1. When I try to open iTunes, the following message appears:

To run iTunes in 32-bit mode, select the iTunes application in the Finder, choose the "Get Info" commands in the File menu, and check the "Open in 32-bit mode" checkbox in the iTunes Info window.
I tried going to the iTunes Info window, but no checkbox exists for the 32-bit mode option.

Everything installs fine. However, when I run iTunes and view it in my task manager, the process is listed as "iTunes.exe * 32"
That's normal. iTunes is a mixture of 32-bit and 64-bit componentry on 64-bit systems. itunes.exe is 32-bit.

Wrong Art Work shows in iTunes but is correct in both "Get Info" and Internet Explorer

I am using Window 7 ultimate; itunes 11.0.2.25. I put album art on a song (right click, get info, artwork, delete anything there, add my artwork). Now shows correct in "get info" (and also shows correct in Windows Explorer) ... but doesn't show correct in iTunes. I have deleted and retried multiple times ... works for some song but does not work for MANY songs. Suggestions? Since it also shows correct in Windows Explorer not even sure how to change it manually outside of iTunes .. it still show an OLD album cover (not even sure where it get is)

I believe the album was only load for one of the tracks. This can happen if the album art was NOT from the Apple Store. Go into iTunes on your Mac and select the album in question. Click on each track and confirm art on the lower left hand corner. If it's blank, ctrl-click on the artwork to copy and paste it into the lower left hand corner. You can also select all tracks and paste the artwork into the lower left hand corner.
Let us know if this works.

ITunes window switch to front while "Get Info" window is open

Hi everyone.
When you pick Get Info option from menu on any object in your library iTunes window will switch to front in about 30 seconds (probably works on every platform and iTunes version).
I have to use iTunes since september and so far I haven't found this "feature" any other than annoying.
How can I stop this?

I got a new computer but my itunes is still on my old computer. how do i move my itunes to my new computer and get it off of my old computer

I now have my daughter's old laptop computer. She had her itunes account on it previously and now has her music libraries, etc. on her new laptop. I just uploaded itunes to her old computer so I can put my own music on the computer. But itunes still shows my daughters 2 apple devices on the old laptop - her iphone and her ipod. How can I put my devices on the old laptop and make sure I don't mess up her devices that she syncs, etc. to her new computer? I have an 'older' nano that I put music on years ago using a laptop (that no longer works) that I'm trying to put more music on. I also just got an ipad so am using my new apple account now (I can't even remember my old account information).

How can I correct the iTunes/App Store error I'm getting on my 4s, since upgrading to IOS 7?

Since upgrading to IOS 7 on my iPhone 4s I cannot download from iTunes/App Store - I get the message "... could not be downloaded at this time. Please try again later". I can download via iTunes on my laptop and then transfer via iCloud no problem, but can't make purchases directly.
How can I resolve this issue?

How do you share one iTunes with two phones but not get each other's apps when you sync?

Each device will ONLY sync what you select.
Just do not select the apps that you do not want. Only select the apps that you do want.

ITunes showing correct album art in "get info" but album previews still wrong.

I've looked through countless iTunes album art threads yet I still can't figure this problem out.
In my itunes library I have one album which doesn't display the correct preview artwork, yet when I check each track the listed artwork is correct. I've tried deleting the itunes album artwork cache, using doug's applescripts, and deleating and readding the tracks, yet nothings worked.

Maybe the album artowork cache needs to be refereshed.
Quit iTunes and open your iTunes library folder and then open album artwork. Delete the cache folder in there, and then re launch iTunes
See how that works.

I edit the lyrics and press ok.
I open get info-lyrics on my iTunes on my computer, the lyrics are edited.
For them to appear edited on the phone, you will have to sync it over.

How do you battle multiple iTunes accounts on iPad? Mine is showing old/unused and my wife's account and not showing mine! Any ideas???

Apps are associated with the iTunes account used when purchasing/downloading the app from the iTunes Store. If you are both using the same iTunes Library for syncing there can only be one copy of the app in the library. When you update an app you need to provide the password for the account associated with the app.
Your options are:
1. Live with having the mix of accounts on your iPad.
2. Separate iTunes libraries for each of you, with your own purchased/downloaded apps.
3. Use only one iTunes account for both of you. This requires redownloading/repurchasing the apps under the one account.
You can see which account is associated to an app by selecting the app in iTunes on a computer and choosing Get Info from the File menu. The details are in the Summary tab.

ITunes 12.1.0.71 broke "Keep iTunes Media folder organized" option

After upgrading to iTunes 12.1.0.71 (64 bit) on my PC, iTunes is no longer organizing my iTunes media folder.
Example:
I drop a video into "automatically add to iTunes" folder
Video appears as a Home Video in iTunes as expected
I go into "get info" > Options for the video and set the Media Kind to "Movie"
Video now appears in the Movie lists, however(!)
iTunes does NOT move the file out of iTunes/Home Videos into iTunes/Movies on my hard drive like it used to
So now I have Movies piling up in the "Home Video" folder instead of getting auto-sorted correctly. The "Keep iTunes Media folder organized" option I have enabled in preferences is, obviously, not working.
This is happening for "TV Shows" as well. In addition, I can no longer set disc (season) and track (episode) numbers for TV Shows so that they're renamed with the season/episode numbers in front of the episode name. There used to be a work-around where I would shift-click "Get Info" to get into the old style pane / control panel, but this no longer works. I can't figure out how to rename files from within iTunes to force the issue. If I rename the files by hand before importing into iTunes, iTunes erases the disc/track numbers off the front of the filenames.
Does anyone know what's wrong? Why are my videos not auto-sorting into the correct folder / sub-folder hierarchy on my hard drive? Why is everything piling up in my "Home Video" folder even though iTunes has been told that they are NOT home videos? Help!

iTunes 12.0 had an issue with not moving video files around after tag/media kind changes. That seems unchanged. A workaround is to uncheck the Keep organized option, click OK, then set it active again.
The iTunes 12.1 version of Get Info appears, at first glance, to include all of the properties that were only available in the old school get info dialog in the previous version. Also gone are the Add Field button for optionally enabled fields, and the autocomplete on space bug. The old dialog doesn't seem to be available from any keyboard combination, although I quite possibly haven't tried everything.
