How to view my back up photos?

I backed up my photos to iCloud before exchanging for a new phone at telco centre. But when I on the new phone, I was only able to retrieve my photos up to 30 days back. the rest of it are not available in my Photo Stream. So i was thinking, ok seems like the rest of the photos are gone and there's nothng I can do.But recently, it says my iCloud is approaching its limit and when I checked, appararently there were several different back up on iCloud ( i have exchanged for a new phone 3 times). But the problem is, I cant retrieve any of those photos in the previous back up. N I don't think I can afford to reset the phone again as I've been using this new phone for quite some time..
So, how do i view the data that was previously backed up??

You're confusing Photo Stream with the iPhone backup. Photo Stream is for transferring photos from one device to another, and they are cached in iCloud for 30 days for that purpose only.
The backup contains all the photos in the Camera Roll album and stores them indefinitely. Unless you deleted photos from the phone and backed up again, all of the photos taken on the phone are still in the backup. The only way to see them is to restore the backup to the phone,

Right, but i was not able to do that, i HAD to restore from scratch, thats way i would like to know if there are any ways i can access my back up files to recover at least my camera roll pictures!

If the iPhoto Library is still 130 GB large, your photos are probably still inside; perhaps the library has a corruption.
Or the iPhoto Library is on drive, that is incompatible with iPhoto. Where is your iPhoto Library stored?
To check for a library corruption: Ctrl-click or right-click the iPhoto library and select "Show Package Contents". This will show the folders inside the library package.
Are there folders called "Masters" or "Old Masters"?
If there is a folder "Old Masters", you are having a problem with recent bug, that corrupts iPhoto Libraries when upgrading. In that case, it would be best to restore your iPhoto Library from a backup you made before you upgraded to Yosemite.
Or, if no backup is available, copy the "old Masters" folder to a folder on your Desktop and create a new iPhoto library and import the Old Masters folder.
If there is no folder "old Masters" try to rebuild your iPhoto Library with the First Aid tools :
Make a backup copy of your iPhoto Library, but don't overwrite any older backups.
To launch the "First Aid Tools" hold down the options-command keys ⌥⌘ while double clicking your iPhoto Library.
Keep the keys held down firmly until the First Aid panel appears.
Select "Rebuild Database".

You cannot unless you backed up your phone. If you had PhotoStream on, they might still be there as well.

Yes i had not taken back up before restoring it. However i was just going through some links on the net and there is a software available for MAC to retrieve such lost data. But the point is will the said software work on iphone as the OS is not MAC..
Will have to give a try to this. If successful will share it with all. Anyone else has any idea about this please so share.

Use the Finder > New Folder and you can click on the name and change the type to date, then drag the more recent copy of iPhoto Library to that folder.
This way you can have more than one copy of the iPhoto Library on the external storage drive at the same time as they are in folders. This way you can create a archive of dated photo's.

You were already provided the answer. If you do not have a backup of the phone while the photos were on the phone, they are gone. When you restore your phone from an old backup, anything that has been saved to the phone since that backup is deleted. Sorry.

If they aren't in Photos>Photo Stream, then they are deleted and cannot be recovered. Try restoring from a recent backup that has those photos.

How to view more than one photo?

To view my photos, I generally go into the "Photos" part of the library and then just click the arrow for whatever given date of photos. Until a few days ago, when a date opened I had 3-4-5, maybe even 6 photos in a line across. Now, the photos are so large I can only see one at a time in the window. I can get to two in a row if I open the window as wide as possible. I don't know what I did to change this, but can't figure out how to go back. How can I see more smaller photos in a horizontal row?
Any ideas?

Of course its safe because it sync all your media to www.photoshop.com and you can anytime downoad your files when your catalog/files are lost.
How to get lost contenton your machine:
1. Create a new catalog
2. Launch Sync Preferences
3. Mark Sync ON for this catalog and mark your online albums which you want to sync on your machine
It will download all marked albums and files to your machine...

the backup/sync was a safe place where to put your photo,and in case something happened to your PC,& you have to do ,what I had to do,which is a system recovery,than you could get them back with no problem.

You can't view photos in a backup. A backup is just a pile of data on the icloud servers that can only be accessed when performing a restore to a device from that backup. But you can't "look" inside a backup to see data that is stored there.

Go to Settings>General>Reset and tap Erase All Content and Settings. This will erase your device. Then you will go through the setup screens again as you did when your device was new, and when given the option, select Restore from iCloud Backup.
